@@prestigeveteranmedical Do active duty Soldiers who already have these diagnosis in their medical records require a Nexus ? I been serving for 22 years and these claims are from 8 years ago, do I still require one.
Leah completed a Nexus Letter for me connecting my service connected injuries Ankles and Knee to multiple back issues that I am currently suffering from. I completed my C&P exam thru the Hampton VA hospital. The Nexus Letter was so thorough that when I viewed the Note of my C&P eval, via thr blue button report, it appears that the VA C&P examiner was in agreement and used Leah's evidence (Research & Medical Articles) to agree that my back issues are "at least likely than not" secondary conditions and supported my claim. Great job Leah. I definitely am very pleased using your services.
I knew nothing about the VA claims process until about 21 months ago. I went from 0 to 100% TDIU utilizing five service connected disabilities. Mostly secondary’s. Knowing that the VA is a bureaucratic maze that no one can figure out on their own, I decided to watch every RUclips video I could get my hands on, primarily Prestige. For me the process was not very difficult just incredibly time consuming. The Nexus Letter was the most difficult hurdle only because my personal physicians were not very good at writing them. Find a source that has experience in writing Medical Opinion Letters. It will really save you time and effort.
Hello thanks for the video. I’m being advised by several VA advocate organizations that the VA is rejecting paid for “Out of State” NEXUS letters. Are you aware of the VA rejecting paid for NEXUS letters when they are NOT provided by the Veterans attending medical provider.
I have been told the same thing. I think it is according to the rating officials. Some V.A. rating and review officials seem to be biased against out of state nexus letters.
Love your content. My question is Do a vet need a Nexus letter and will I have to get a C&P exam if military records show the vet was seen for neck and back pain, and current doctor/medical records indicate current issues in those same areas ?
I am glad you are enjoying the content sir! Nexus letters are never required. They can be helpful at times but you do not have to have one. I hope that clarifies and best of luck
Hi Mrs. Leah. I had a rheumatoid arthritis doctor tell me that my history of frequent reoccurrences of strep throat was the cause of arthritis in my body. He based this on blood test that he says he believe is bacteria. I may not be wording this correctly. But have you ever heard of that before? If so, do you mind doing a presentation video on this issue? My military record shows very frequent reoccurrences of strep and it also shows how does of penicillium increased also through out my military career. The doctor has retired and I have no way of contacting him about a nexus letter. I had never heard of a Nexus letter before.

I appreciate you helping me out with a previous question....I have one last question.... Have you heard of a veteran claiming bilateral degenerative arthritis in knees secondary to bilateral shin splints? I was a marine infantry machine gunner and have knees that had 2 surgeries and need both knees replaced.... Va has denied me in the past due to lack of nexus.....what do you think?
I am not sure that I have heard that specifically but many veterans claim orthopedic conditions secondary to other orthopedic conditions. Best of luck to you sir!
That is a good question. It is not really a black and white answer. You can have a doctor write a letter and it could not be well written or helpful and you can have a PA write one that is very detailed. There are just several variables
@@prestigeveteranmedicalreason why I ask is because there is a Reddit thread going down about how the VA is tracking which company is providing nexus letters. Even VBA employees are chiming in on it as well. Then I saw your video knowing you have background as a rather so thought I’d get your opinion.
@ThemistoclesAD so I would not really listen to what people on Reddit are saying even if they are VBA employees. If they are doing something like that it would not align with VA policy and would likely open them up to lawsuits.
Ms Lea , what is the process after you've submitted a strong nexus letter along with other new evidence in a supplemental claim. What steps does the claim go through afterwards ?

So by the end of first week of Sept 2023 thats when I was given a 50 percent rating for PTSD basically what will happen is on your decision letter look for exam clarification and give it about a week or two you should see update just check your benefits and see of your rating changed.
