I work at BK, and have for years. Mac n Cheetos aren't really discontinued. They're just always there for a limited time. They left, and came back 3, or 4 different times in the past 2 years. I honestly don't think they're that good. I'm sure the ones you had on the show were much better than the ones you'll actually get at BK.
I was also there when the Yumbo came back. We didn't have to wear those 70's styled uniforms though. I thought it was ok. If you really want to try it, we still have all the ingredients at our store. But you'd have to be very specific what ingredients you want on it. Which I believe are, the Original chicken sandwich bun, ham (only used on breakfast items), 2 slices of cheese, lettuce, and I think it was mayo as the sauce. But at that point, it's gonna cost a lot, as they'd have to sell each individual thing for it.
Once again, I was also there for the Whopperito. It was meh. But what I remember most, is how expensive it was. Don't bother trying it, go to taco bell instead.

I had the mac and cheetos from Burger King. They really weren't that good. Maybe it was the one I went to. They were overcooked and dry. I feel like Josh makes these items better than the original company did.
They were bad pretty much anywhere you could get them. I’m honestly surprised to see so many comments from people who seemed to have enjoyed them, I was certain most people didn’t like them.

I didn't like them that much, I was not a fan it wasn't dry but it just wasn't for me. Plus anybody can be a chef even successful chefs or restaurant owners were once fry cooks in there life. Sometimes fry cooks don't really care🤷.

I worked at BK during the Yumbo scandal. It was also scandalous because the older generations that did remember and love it hated the new one and said it tasted nothing like it.

My mom LOOOOOVED the Yumbo when she was a teenager. Im sure it was a Hot Ham sandwich. Probably tasted better fresh. She would randomly bring it up! Miss her.

Yes it was the Hot Ham and Cheese and it was SO GOOD! Best thing on the menu. I’m 46 years old and I remember me and my mom eating them.

Whopperito was alot larger than that and the tortilla was fried tacobell style. It was mostly lettuce and pickles and that is a very poor representation of how bad it was.

I worked at a burger king, quitted in 2016, it was exactly like the one they are eating, but bigger. It was a pain to make on top off everything else we had to make.
The Mac and Cheetos idea was good, the problem was you never got it hot at Burger King and Mac and Cheetos that were warm and sitting under a heat lamp all day was disgusting!

They had the mushroom double Swiss in Australia too. Only highlight of working there for over 5 years was working there while it was being sold. You best believe I put that mushroom sauce on EVERYTHING. It was particularly good as a substitute for bbq sauce on the breakfast wrap

I work at a grocery store, and you can indeed buy them in the frozen food aisle, both flamin' hot and regular. They actually released them shortly after they left Burger King the second time and I tried them both at Burger King AND the frozen food version and was highly disappointed both times. I like Cheetos and Mac and cheese, but Mac and Cheetos really aren't very good.
You can buy them at the grocery store, I was gonna comment this if no one else did I've had both flavors.

In the gay community soggy foods mean a group of men ejaculated onto the food first. But it's pretty much the way the channel is anyway so yeah I second this.
Also horrible idea, why would that matter first of all, second of all its gross, third how would it be entertaining. A soggy fry is a soggy fry, it's the fry cooks job to pull out the fries some might be cooked a bit longer and possibily would go soggy last and then they salt them. How would it taste better

Plus they've done way grosser things and have made way more boring ideas entertaining so I don't see how you're so against this idea

The child is still waiting for the day when BK brings back their "cheese" powder for the french fries. Does anyone remember getting the packet of powder that you dumped in the bag with your hot fries and shook up? It tasted just like the flavored powder you put on popcorn and was so good. That's like one discontinued fast food item from my youth that I remember (also the spicy ketchup packets that was promo for like, a Justice League cartoon movie or something which was super yummy).

I used to make them every once in a while after Steak and Shake had them for a while. They’re really good.
I just made one and it's pretty good!
I just realized a taco has the same ingredients as a burger: Bread, ground beef, lettuce, tomato, cheese. Just a different type of bread and different seasoning on the meat.
And different proportions. A burger generally has a lot more meat than a taco.

While technically true, people tend to put garbage on a burger they'd never consider sullying a taco with. Like pickles, mustard and mayo... Nobody would ever put that on a taco... On the other hand, bacon?

There's one BK item I really miss: Spicy Tendercrisp. It ran from 2004 to 2007. It was just like a normal Tendercrisp (which is still around) but with whopper buns and a special spicy sauce that I swear was baked directly into the chicken. You can get a thing of buffalo sauce and ask for whopper buns when ordering a tendercrisp, but it's just not the same. Plus, at some point over the years, they changed the tendercrisp patty recipe. It isn't as juicy as it used to be.
Have you tried using the "Zesty Sauce" they serve with onion rings? I think that is what they used to make "spicy" versions of things for a while. The buffalo sauce is more like a hot BBQ sauce, tomato and molasses based, while the Zesty sauce is more like a sriracha mayonnaise.
The old tendercrisp was a marinaded chicken breast. The new ones I swear are just junk chicken pressed into a similar shape, like a nugget.

True, but usually this is specific to sausage sangers, or snag sangers (maybe the tour guide was playing up the lingo a little bit). "Cut Lunch" was also pretty popular back in the day.

@DankFenny it was too much deep fried cheeto and not enough mac imo.
If it came with a kraft cheese dipping sauce it might have been a lot better.
