I think the cheesy core burrito failed because the marketing department for Taco Bell failed. I never heard of it, not even one commercial. If I had, I definitely would've ordered one.

I don't remember it either and I saw a LOT of commercials in 2016 working at a sports bar. I do remember the waffle taco commercials.
I would have too! I had no idea it ever existed.
As an employee at Taco Bell, I can say that a lot of items are discontinued if they simply take too much time to make. Since there is so much focus on making time.
Same here, man. It took me until I started working there last year to understand why nacho fries aren't permanent; they're a pain to make, especially when people request fresh ones.
Nah, taco Bell really doesn't care how hard it is to make times, it's just due to hype and lack of sales

The Cheesy Core was replaced by the Quesaritos. Easier to put a quesadilla on the outside, than a cheesy roll up on the inside I guess.

I’ve never seen them tackle Dairy Queen before, so I think it’d be cool to see them look over lost DQ menu items.

There were only two things I ever ordered at Taco Bell. One was the Enchirito. The other was the Baja Chalupa. I still remember the way that baja sauce tasted. I could have drank it by the gallon. I miss the Taco Bell of the early 2000's.

They don’t discontinue. They just have temporary promo items.

They still have it in certain locations, but the places that provide it are limited. I'm from Arizona, and they still have it down there last time I checked.

I worked at Topeka, Kansas’ first Taco Bell in ‘82-‘83, and a Bellbeefer was wrapped in paper. I was working the front register one day and a customer asked, “What the hell’s a Bellbeefer?” Lol.

Rhett pretty much nailed on the head people's complaints towards the waffle taco, it was literally just a bent waffle with some egg down the middle. Meanwhile, there was the breakfast crunchwrap which had all the marks of a Taco Bell item (flour tortilla shell, chipotle sauce, cheese), yet it got little to no advertising compared to the waffle taco
I really miss the original frutista freeze. The mango with strawberry chunks at the bottom was so bomb

one of my favorite taco bell food is, For those who don't know, the Chili Cheese Burrito features chili and shredded cheddar cheese wrapped inside a warm flour tortilla. Taco Bell discontinued the Chili Cheese Burrito at a national level in the mid-to-early 90's due to underperforming sales. i miss it so bad !!!

There is actually a website that tracks where these are available. I don't think they are permanent at any location, but they do show up at certain locations across the U.S. I agree that it should have made the list.

They used to have a boss wrap supreme and it has some of the best steak chunks I ever had in a fast food wrap. It was so good but discontinued so fast.

1) Olives were discontinued bc they skyrocketed in price.
2) Green onions were discontinued after a huge listeria outbreak.
3) It was more of a seafood chopped salad with a mayo sauce akin to Subway's crab salad, which has also been discontinued. You can find it in the deli's under "Neptune salad." I actually liked it, but I guess that's my generation. I like mayo salads.

In the early 1990s our taco Bell here in Ohio had a BLT taco For maybe about a year or so. It was a cold taco made with a flour tortilla, bacon, lettuce, tomato, cheese and it had a type of cucumber ranch dressing or something on it. and it was freaking amazing! I think I literally cried when they discontinued it.
I loved their whole bacon line! I remember! You're so right about how delicious they were!
Still gave y'all a like. But the Waffle Taco stands as one of the great lost treasures of humankind. Right there next to Atlantis, El Dorado... and the Tyrannosaurus Rex!
