- LYRICS:
With your long blonde hair and your eyes of blue
The only thing I ever get from you is sorrow sorrow
You're acting funny spending all my money
You're out there playing your high class games
Sorrow sorrow ah ah ah
You never do what you know you oughta
Something tells me you're the Devil's daughter
Sorrow sorrow ah ah ah
With your long blonde hair I couldn't sleep last night
With your long blonde hair
I tried to fight her but I can't resist her
I never knew just how much I missed her sorrow sorrow
With your long blonde hair and your eyes of blue
The only thing I ever got from you was
Sorrow sorrow ah ah ah
With your long blonde hair I couldn't sleep last night
With your long blonde hair

Good evening Robert, you continue to introduce songs I don't recall. Must be the "Atlantic Ocean Gap." Ha! You certaily perform them just great.
Thank you Mike! I appreciate the comment!
I remember David Bowie's version and always loved this song. You did a wonderful interpretation of this tune, Robert! Very well done!! I'm working on a song and hopefully will have this on my channel in the near future. BTW, I love your shirt! Enjoy the weekend my friend!! :-)
Thank you for the comment, Bret! Have a great weekend too, my friend. I'll keep a look-out for your new video!
Robert, thank you again for your posts - especially this one. I never heard this song before, but I think it will be added high on my list of "The Most Well Crafted Songs". Also your rendition is quite perfect for the wide range of your voice, expertise of guitar playing, and subtlely controlled rhythms. Always looking forward to more from your catalog. Have a great week.
Thank you for your glowing comment, James! I greatly appreciate it! You have a great week too, my friend!

Thank you Jane. Glad you like this!
Bravo! You've left me thoroughly impressed.
Thank you for your kind words! Much appreciated!
This song was first recorded by the McCoys in 1965, and released as a B-side. It was later recorded by the British duo, the Merseys, and later still by David Bowie. Both of these versions became big hits in the UK and elsewhere. My version is stylistically similar to the Merseys' version, but not identical, by any means.
Sounding great Robert!!
Thank you Rose! I appreciate the comment!
