I am joining the army in a year or so I’m doing the future soldier program up here in Wisconsin and I was wondering what should we bring with us to basic and what is the best ways to mentally and physically prepare for basic and ait
I was in the Air Force whenever cell phones had not been invented yet. It just occurred to me that because of the level of control that they want to have over you -that you would not be allowed to have your cell phone, kind of like if you were in jail? So I googled it and here we are. Of course they take your phone away. And that's why nobody is enlisting. Aha I found the reason. Or at least one of the top reasons? other than not wanting to work for the globalist bankers and die in the banker wars. 😮
Shipping out tomorrow to Fort Jackson for basic training and the future soldier program. Nervous as hell, but I hope I'll come out not only nicely built, but with a successful future!
I’m in high school but I’m considering enlisting in the army as a 68W and these videos help give me a better perspective on what the military will be like. Keep up the great work!
I'll be headed to Fort Jackson next tuesday for my basic, and then on to Fort Gordon for AIT. 25B. IT specialist. I'm in for a long 32 weeks of training, but I'm mentally ready for it. Been busting my ass working out and running to the point it hurts. Got my mile to under 7 minutes, 2.5 miles if I pace myself. Doing 100 reps on everything I can at about 45 pounds of weight. I know they are going to break me, it's just a matter of when, not if. I'm trying to extend that when.
@@LakeShowHighlights My contract is pretty much for 6 years, active duty, 2 years reserve. Dont know where I'm going of course yet, but the plan is to get married in christmas. My girl is also in basic right now, and there are programs that can really help to get you both deployed together to the same areas.
Honestly man? 30min-1hr phone access time is more than enough. We were blessed with 10-15 minutes in my cycle in all honesty! The issue is, if trainee’s had constant access to their cellular devices throughout BCT, it allows outside drama and dirt from the civilian world cloud their minds and throw individuals off course. I think it causes more issues than anything you know? Leonard Wood wasn’t lenient by any means. But hey, that’s just me. Two months ain’t that big of a deal, everyone’s gonna struggle at some point regardless. I definitely did! Ain’t gonna lie.
@@TheBenAllen. remember how weird it felt to even have it in your possession? Felt like a foreign device and all because it had been so long? Lol even once I got to Fort Sam, the first week or so it felt odd.
I think it depends. I’d imagine for many people having their phones (after mail call, not during the training day of course) would allow them to keep in touch with close family and prevent trainees from worrying about matters back home, especially if you’re in a long term relationship/married or have a sick family member. It made sense in the past where soldiers would have to get used to no contact for long periods of time while deployed, but nowadays phones and internet access are normal even on deployment. It’s unnecessary imo but it is good to learn to live without it to some degree.
@@JustAnotherArmyVet go to his fitness playlist and it's called like low carb snack. But it's not specific just mix your greek yogurt with powder peanut butter. That shit is bomb fam!
I suggest, before you leave your safe spaces, that you cut off your man-buns, cut the umbilical chord to your mamas, and try not to say like for at least a week.
Do you get your phones back at all in basic training even for a little bit every so often? Or is that only in AIT. And how often do you get them in AIT
Hi, thanks for sharing your experience. My son is at basic training in Oklahoma. I would like to ask you a question, how long until i will know his graduation day, will he able to use his phone to call home ahead before his ceremony ?? Can you please let me know? Thank you very much!!
Did you have to do any swimming related activities in basic, and do you think that they’ll do any swimming based activities/practice due to COVID? I leave for basic on the 9th.
Do you recommend us bringing in the original documents or do you recommend that we copy them and bring those copies with us to reception and basic? I really don’t want to bring the original documents as I fear they’re going to get damaged or lost.
How many phone calls are aloud in reception, my bf called me last Sunday and he said that he might be able to call me the upcoming Thursday, bc he starts basic training on Friday.
I got a lot of questions? Do they still issue underwear or can I bring black boxers? I wear glasses and I'm bringing an extra pair. Would it be a good idea to have 2? Does it matter the color of towels and washrags? And finally do I need more than 1 pair of running shoes?
I've had more time to prepare than you, I've been working out every other day. One on and one off. But with the short amount of time you have? Cardio. Run. Every single day if you can. You'll at least break yourself in to the adversity you will face when you get in fully as far as normal running goes. Push yourself as far as you can go, and practice good breathing patterns while you run. It can really extend the length you can run. Then it's just a matter of what gives out first, your legs, or your lungs.
I’ll be shipping on 29th march… Can I bring my laptop with me to the basic training? I heard they will let us use our laptop in AIT. My family won’t be able to attend my BMT graduation ceremony. So I’m thinking to bring my laptop. Is it a bad idea? if they really allow us to use laptop in AIT?
How do you all feel about them locking up your phones? Do you think you should be able to have them the entire time? Also, Like & Subscribe!🔥
