Can’t believe it’s been 62 years since I graduated from Marine boot camp.
Damn unc
you guys had it easy back then... haha just jokes!
@@OnlyGainsPR you must be army
Thanks for your service, old timer. I am 18 and joining the marines, I am going to meps, then I will go to the merine Core bace pendleton this August.
@@user-ph2tm7nx5o good luck to you. I hope you enjoy being part of the brotherhood.
Semper Fi to all my Brothers and Sisters. It's changed a bit since I graduated from 2066 in 1995, but we're all still Marines.
I shipping out when I finish school this year
@@racks17889Fasho me too, June 10th
Graduated with platoon 2022 women in 1991 Parris Island. You never forget the sounds, the smells, the stress, the rotten helmet that thousands of other recruits used before me. How I was yelled at to repel. The gas chamber and the confidence they instilled in you of your life-saving mask. Having to be alert the moment your eyes opened. Classroom time in the A/C was the worst while fighting to stay awake. Recruiter Fleming was our guide. Recruit Miller from LA bunked beneath me and complained when I got the platoon in the pit when I got caught eating a packet of syrup in the walk-in reefer. The male NCOs and COs with sexual misconduct and lack of respect for a woman in their uniform were trash. God forgive them. Oorah. Semper Fi. Love my Marine Corps.
It hasn't changed at all. Mark my words on that.
The emphasis on not tolerating abuse and stealing surprises me because I’ve heard occurrences of both 😂 from a recent graduate
they gotta say it just so recruits know the rules, doesn’t mean they’re followed
integrity is a choice
Can’t believe they’ve changed ‘RESPECT’ to ‘COMPASSION’ in the SDI speech
respect is too 'toxic' a word nowadays
Hitting boot camp this coming Monday
Same you going to San Diego or Paris island?
Have fun!!! best decision I ever made! enjoy!

The 7 minute mark!! .. The women Marines are on point!! Let the career Marines do their job! Who is this college graduate Marine? Outstanding!! Bravo Zulu!
41:18 "are you a ginger" "yes sir"
Well I’m looking forward to this training
Strongest Most Feared!
Every recruit training program, no matter the service, is designed provide a base of physical ability and knowledge over the cross section of recruits. Some will find the training less difficult then they thought, some will find it more so. This baseline standard prepares the recruit for service after recruit training no matter the occupational field. I went through Parris Island in 1962, served 27 years, and retired as a Master Gunnery Sergeant (E9). Some things have changed, but the program is the same.
I’ll be starting this tomorrow
recently went through Navy OCS, the Marine DIs we had treated us exactly as boots (comparing to this video), and we learned through pain lol, wouldn't've had it anyone other way
Great video!
Wish every branch trained like this
They all get the jobs done anyways
Army infantry trains basically like this haha and it’s 22 weeks
Army infantry trains like this, the non combat mos train different with basics of being an infantry man.

Black Friday was truly a blur.
ngl when I went thru it, it was easier than expected but probably the most fun I’ve ever had in my life. Only time it sucked ass was being wet and full of sand during boomers in the Crucible.
Do you know how they pick you up? Where do you go for the bus to get you?
@@study7794 i went to mcrd so they took us to the main airport in san diego. In the USO section over there at night is where and when they’ll pick you up and I remember two receiving DIs just got a group of 20-30 people in line and told us to pack things in plastic/saran wraps. The rest is you get into buses and 3 months go by.
@@namejeff1037 wow interesting. I’m still a junior in HS and will start my senior year in August but I’m thinking of joining the marines. It’s been a dream of mine since I was a kid and I’m really thinking to do it. Also I live about almost 3 hours from San Diego so I guess that’s good in a way.

I'm 27 and I am undecided with being in the marines or Airforce, , I just want to wish everyone Goodluck on their journey.
Airforce for comfort.
Marines for the fight.
Join marines you won’t regret it
Air force has it better, but marines are the more "rare" branch
I’m 20 brother I’m think of going haha but never finished school but still get note from them.
I'm currently in the airforce just depends on what you are wanting to do but I would go to the airforce
I shipping out when I finish school this year going 11 B

USMC turning into Navy SEALs now? How many USMC Boot Camp videos do our enemies need?
Bro what is a boot camp video gonna do for our “enemies”? lol
Can someone explain what they are doing at 54:00? I just don't want to be lost during boot camp.

Ship out in 2 weeks 💪🏽
July 7th
I ship out June 2nd
They don’t show the cussing and bullying 😂
I just would never join the marines for these reason specifically.... I want to be in a elite unit i get you can be recruited by the seals or even the green berets or delta force but it will take years more years than joining the army or seal team and you dont really see anything about MARSOC
Infantry is the main effort
being a marine is the elite unit bro
The great Chesty Puller did not believe in special units. The Corps abandoned that idea in 1944 when it disbanded the Raiders and Paramarines. It was felt that a well trained infantryman could do anything those troops could. Tha is why The Corps did not even have recon units for years. And MARSOC did not even exist til the "war on terrorism". As of now, the USMC has even disbanded its scout/sniper teams.
Those units usually pull their recruits from experienced infantry, so what's the problem?
@@dannyhearn5378bro no it’s not being a seal is the elite unit, literally less than 1 percent graduates and there standards are even higher, if your not doing 50 pull-ups, running a 7 minute mile and a half, swimming a 8 minute 500 yard. As well as doing 120 push-ups in 2 minutes and 120 sit-ups your not getting even selected to get a contract
ок. норм тренировка истеричности.

did one of the drill sergeant ask to get scream at😂😂😂😂😂
The us marine corps is nothing like the royal marines in the uk for starters us marine corps fitness is nothing like the royal marines the Royal Marines are a comando unit a totally different mentality altogether .

Best of luck 🙏🇺🇸

Standards still aren’t high lol almost everyone who goes graduates, they need to make it to where less than 1 percent graduates so we can have real fighters
They don’t really have a choice reckoning the recruitment rates over these years
Less than 1%? Might as well not have a military.
Let's see you try to join tough guy

no urgency in these recruits. times are different

Stop it.
Graduated January 7 1989, PLT 1009. Watching this video makes me sick. This is our new soft generation. The marines are not even close to what I went through. And I'm sure the marines that came before me would say the same about us. This is pathetic. You that have joined and are about to embark, enjoy the club med. Welcome to soft marine corps.
Thats drill int school.
Just here to listen to y’all say how pussified and woke this is compared to when you went through and how The Corps has no standards anymore. 🙄
Rather trainned them much better way for my side both side best interest and not as
Political Religious puppets
What are you yapping about
Female "drill instructors" just can't be taken seriously IMO...🤦
5:09 The lowering of standards to allow women into the military will be the downfall of the USA. God help us all.
