Frequented many airshows as a kid and watching an AN-225 surprise me and lift off of the runway is still one of the most awesome memories I have of them all. It just didn't look possible yet it did it so gracefully!
Uno de estos estuvo en Montevideo y no lo pude ver, pero la noche que llegó pasó por encima de mi casa y parecía que se venía el mundo abajo! Una hermosura de aeronave...
I had to arrange the shipment of a big industrial electro-magnet once, and because the thing was so dense, the only plane that had a floor which could take the point loading was the An-225. Amazing plane.
That thing has 32 wheels and An-124,if I remember correctly has 24,I didn't know they were using the An-225 for contract cargo transport. I remember first seeing this plane transporting their own space shuttle in Russia.
Notice how the AN -225 needs a massively long runway to take off not to mention how long it took, almost a whole minute. Somehow I see this as impratical for exsisting runways.
@BooyaaPwned What exactly do you mean? Most cargo planes nowadays have 4 engines, and smaller aircraft typically have 1 or 2 engines, but they don't carry heavy freight like the 4-enginers or the An-225 here carry.
woah dude howd u get all that futage? this is scary lmao i do not like oversized things (waves, building, planes) im watchin this to scare myself cuz im wierd =) -Megan
salut, je suis français et je regarder ta vidéos, dis voir c'est bien un concorde que tu as filmé , quand l'antonov tourné ? de quelle année date la vidéo ?
I love this Russian plain . Because,it can carry large amount of Military or Medical supplies in time of War or Nature disaster. Actually, that is the plain I favor the most.
yeah Airbus Development the engine thrust reverser like that in case If all engines have thrust reverser the airspeed is way too much reduce so Airbus made it with that Development.
i saw this video a few weeks ago...and as god is my witness, not a week later i spotted the An-225 flying over NW houston, about to land at houston intercontinental airport.
@star0the0legend the flaps go down and the engine thrust cominge from each of the 6jet engines pushes down and it lifts up the plane until that big-ass can fly by it's own power
@Kabinator100 you might not be realizing the true size of the Antonov from the video, but it is far larger than the Beluga Airbus. look up the stats. Its larger in every measurement.
@boskey10 First, what you could see in 2012 is not the same plane we got here. The plane from the movie is named An-124 Ruslan. Second, both Ruslan and Mria are Ukrainian planes
@YourFatClownAss You are right. There was a reason why Antonov Bureau was in Ukraine and not some place else. Because Antonov as many other engineering intellectuals came from Ukraine, especially in avian construction, including Igor Sikorsky, who was born in Kiev (Ukraine), lived and later studied at the Mechanical College of the Kiev Polytechnic Institute.
@SuperMABAM Just because he is a pilot does not mean he knows everything about every aircraft ever built. Unless he is actually flying the An-225 or works for the company that produce it, he is just as legit as a source as I am. And only one was built. They did start constructing a second one, but never finished it.
The Antonov An-225 Mriya (Ukrainian: Антонов Ан-225 Мрія, NATO reporting name: 'Cossack') is a strategic airlift cargo aircraft, designed by the Soviet Antonov Design Bureau. It is the world's heaviest fixed-wing aircraft. The design, built to transport the Buran orbiter, was an enlargement of the successful An-124 Ruslan. The An-225's name, Mriya (Мрiя) means "Dream" (Inspiration) in Ukrainian.
we have this huge russian bird that takes off out of Denver airport quite regularly. It takes missle components from T>H and other companies in the area. when flying out it makes the oddest noise i have ever heard from any aircraft. more like an electric power saw than a jet. And it is HUGE!!!
@kenupcmac You are wrong! A380 can take only 150 tons on board, but An-225 a little bit more - 250 tons! An-225 also 12 meters longer and 6 meters wider!
Its amazing when you look at the Antonov 225, that you realize it can actually fly
Its blowed up.😕
I see concorde in the back 0:39
Twin Fun sameeee
AN-225 "DREAM" - made in Ukraine SSR
Sad that the AN-225 is no more. Saw it arrive at BGR a couple years ago. Surreal experience.
Biggest plane is of Russia not of Europe or USA.
stupid
THE WORLDS BIGGEST PLANES!!!!!!
Andrey Klovski That should be PLANE....they only built one...and that broke the bank....
Andrey Klovski you are stupid
Not Russia, but Ukraine
That An-225 - there's something gorgeous about a bird THAT size slowly and gracefully taking off. What a gentle-looking, floating, behemoth!
Frequented many airshows as a kid and watching an AN-225 surprise me and lift off of the runway is still one of the most awesome memories I have of them all. It just didn't look possible yet it did it so gracefully!
A great compilation with my all-time favorite, the AN-225! Love that giant bird.
This is still stunning, amazing, and mind boggling in how the plane is controlled from that tiny cabin.
I remember this golden oldie of a video childhood memory of a vid.
Incredible that something so huge can actually fly... O.O
Thanks for sharing.
Some cool planes here!! Amazing that hunks of metal can actually fly!!!
it's kind of amazing how a massive plane like that can fly
Uno de estos estuvo en Montevideo y no lo pude ver, pero la noche que llegó pasó por encima de mi casa y parecía que se venía el mundo abajo! Una hermosura de aeronave...
Cant even begin to imagine the power of those engines getting the plane up at about 3:05!
Kieran, thnx 4 the big stuff. Magic
I had to arrange the shipment of a big industrial electro-magnet once, and because the thing was so dense, the only plane that had a floor which could take the point loading was the An-225. Amazing plane.
Rip an-225 😢
Saw the 225 parked in cargo at Bush Intercontinental in Houston once. Couldn't believe how big it was!
THATS AWSOME , your vid is realy cool. sometimes they seem they are going to stop and fall
@MrArmaniStyle I don't get the ''will it blend'' thing! What's it all about? Who came up with it?
AMAZING VID, well well done.... THE first aircraft looks like something from THUNDERBIRDS..... really good video ....exerlent..!!!!!
I didn't think the first one would get off the ground, that thing is massive.
+l harrison Right... It was just going to run off the end of the runway
The Antonov 225 Mirya is a very impressive giant of the skies!!!
That's one hell of a plane.seen it before i would love to fly in it.
@rowankaine1 yeah but isnt very fast? if you ride it would you feel the g force instantly?
She's old but sooo good. Shame no newer an 225 or similars are made.
The Antonov is a MONSTER!
My two favorite passenger planes: This one, and the concord.
how in the world do you test something like that ???? MAN !!!!! awesome.
I feel like those wings would just snap! Those planes are huge!
@jack41401 Yea, the jet in 1012 was Mriya. The only "mistake" is that An-225 has no cargo ramp in the back.
Antonov an225 Mriya is just a MONSTER!!
Mriya = Dream. Truly a dream come true
That thing has 32 wheels and An-124,if I remember correctly has 24,I didn't know they were using the An-225 for contract cargo transport. I remember first seeing this plane transporting their own space shuttle in Russia.
i really love the An-225, its sooooo damn cool..
Am i right?
there should be a plane with every thing on board like swimming pools , resturaunts, shops and stuff like we see at the road or houses
Man this thing is the coolest thing ever.
@mitsukai93 A hell of a lot larger! It can carry something like 2-4 tanks, but only 1 of them have been made.
How does this Antonov 225 compare in size to the Airbus A 380?
The Mriya.... God what a beauty...
woah dude howd u get all that futage? this is scary lmao i do not like oversized things (waves, building, planes) im watchin this to scare myself cuz im wierd =)

@pinkol89 I'm not sure about the song name but if you played GTA SA and listened to "Radio Los Santos" then you should heard it.
@ferpa54 isn't a tupolev or something
@ferpa54 they stopped flying 2003 + is was not about fly?
What is the name of the song at 6:50
salut, je suis français et je regarder ta vidéos, dis voir c'est bien un concorde que tu as filmé , quand l'antonov tourné ? de quelle année date la vidéo ?
what is name of this song on end??
Is that in Linz/ Hörsching?
I understand "lift." But it is still amazing things like this can fly.
what's the song at the end?
I love this Russian plain . Because,it can carry large amount of Military or Medical supplies in time of War or Nature disaster. Actually, that is the plain I favor the most.
It's not every day you get to see a gigantic aircraft flying by.
thats a big plane the first one ,hey wants the name of the song at the end the kinda rap one ?
Stupid that you did not show takeoff after 6:30.
Stupudisdorted "music" at the end.
Thanks for much information.
cool vid.
when they get that big youre getting the wings starting to pull to the ground
The flying bull. Guess it could perfectly swallow a whole 767 with the wings folded.
4:50 Only the second and third engines opened reverse the 1st and 4th didnt
Any ideas
Thanks, Agent
yeah Airbus Development the engine thrust reverser like that in case If all engines have thrust reverser the airspeed is way too much reduce so Airbus made it with that Development.
@Cqub3 how ironic this plane was made in soviet russia or did the plane make you??
i saw this video a few weeks ago...and as god is my witness, not a week later i spotted the An-225 flying over NW houston, about to land at houston intercontinental airport.
@star0the0legend the flaps go down and the engine thrust cominge from each of the 6jet engines pushes down and it lifts up the plane until that big-ass can fly by it's own power
Amazing. Planes are so cool
is that a tu144 at 0:38 ??
@Kabinator100 you might not be realizing the true size of the Antonov from the video, but it is far larger than the Beluga Airbus. look up the stats. Its larger in every measurement.
Where are the videos of A380 taken ??
@ladiezman89 r u talking bout the one they showed first
how many wheels does that plane have?
Aeronautics was neither an industry nor a science. It was a miracle - Igor Sikorsky
is it 747-300 or 747-400D(Domestic)
How much fuel do they hold ?
How many were built...?
it really doesnt look like it would lift off when it starts. I would have thought that it will just drive straight ahead.
@MacGyver920 scarecrow to prevent bird strikes?
@CODWAL12DEN it takes about 2 or 3 minutes to go speed of sound in concorde so no not instantly
@TheLilguitarboy Yip, that was definateley a British Airways concorde. Thanks for the heads up as I completely missed it! Best wishes.
@boskey10 First, what you could see in 2012 is not the same plane we got here. The plane from the movie is named An-124 Ruslan. Second, both Ruslan and Mria are Ukrainian planes

Does it have a second floor?:D
never thought i'd see a concord and an antonov together :D
@nihadkhan1 yeah, this was dated 4 years ago and those planes were just being made i think?
How BIG is this plane?? Like what can you enter in that??
when that plane came over them at 0:18, it sounded like the end of the world. which is probably why its in the movie 2012.
@SuperMABAM Just because he is a pilot does not mean he knows everything about every aircraft ever built. An 225 made in Russia
He, thats me! In the cockpit, IM FLYING THAT!
2012 movie quote: *planes sitting there* "woah.. thats a big plane..." "yeh....eets a rushion plane..."
in some few years, I guess this will be the standard size of all airplanes :D
The antonov 225 is like the one from saints row the third the stag one you shoot down and the one from the first mission you skydive out of
@ladiezman89
lol what more damage could it have done?
Good video...
@kenupcmac
You are wrong!

at 5:11 hes like "yeah, this is how we role in my neighborhood"
that antonov is huge
@h4ydn2008 Because the outer engines hanging over the runway and would plow up the ground? May be? I don´t know.
@ladiezman89 Would it have made much of a difference?
I wonder how many feet of runway they had left when they finally made takeoff
