im currently playing crusader + crusader + crusader + crusader, it has high dps because of holy lance, backline because of holy lance, stress heal because of inspiring cry, regular heal because of battle heal, defence because of bulkward and high base health, and being shuffled matters much less
I know that it's not the most effective tactic at times, however, antiquarian + antiquarian + antiquarian + antiquarian, in some dungeons where the opponents don't have high blight resist, works. Antiquarians do well because of their high dodge, the Get down! ability generates a lot of dodge points, and Invigorating Vapours imposes additional dodge on each of them. The opponents helplessly try to hit your girls (dodge 115 doesn't help em), while you, calmly using Festering Vapours, kill the main opponent after like 20th round. True, the girls have terrible heal and when you get hit by single attack, it's hard to heal the wounded one, but the chance that you will ever get hit by an opponent is minimal. In addition, at the end of the expedition you get so much money that any of your other heroes will easily be able to pay for a psychologist at an inn to improve their morale. 11/10 tactic
Man at Arms is so underrated tbh. The Dodge skill is so good as well as protect & the hit back. I got him at 30+ dodge & when he protects he always dodges & does some damage back. One of my favorites.
Twin shieldbreakers against the stone monster at the end of Crimson Court make him an absolute joke. They take him out in no time flat with no problem. It’s way OP. Especially if you put a grave robber in 3rd, and a vestal in 4th. Wipe out the spear in a few hits (or just tank the damage). Then use puncture so that the shield never guards the head, and just chip away at him until he’s reduced to rubble, with GR throwing in picks to the face. Dead. If you wanna cheese it faster, camp right before hand and give everyone puncture. You could even use Sway so that the shield drops never bother them, but it’s not necessary. Just tank it and have the Vestal heal. You’ll have all the Crimson trinkets in no time.
For the second team, it's better to have the Hound Master use his mark, because his mark is unique in that it reduces the enemy's PROT. I use the same team comp, but I use an Arbalest instead of the Man at Arms. It's Arbalest + Bounty Hunter + Hound Master + Occultist. Occultist and Hound Master do the marking, Arbalest and Bounty Hunter does the damage. You have heals from both occultist and Arbalest, and you have stun moves from everyone except Arbalest, but she has the flare that removes marks on your heroes, making this comp excellent for the Weald. I would recommend a survivability trinket for the Occultist though, something like Barristan's Head works well.
I tried Arbalest + Houndmaster + Occultist + Bounty Hunter in Warrens. I don't like stress so I added 2 stress healer to make me feel safe and somehow it went pretty well lol. Of course this build relies on luck pretty much but I think AoE stress healing is still pretty cool and Arbalest can be helpful to de-stealth enemies. Also, 4 heroes with mark skills and 3 heroes that do more damage against marked enemies can be somewhat invincible lol.
Also noticed that you had the ancestors pen on the houndmaster, which provides melee damage and crit when the houndmaster does ranged damage from rank 4..
Awesome parties man, I always have trouble healing stress since hitting backlines can be tricky but these builds helped out heaps, hoping to use them to beat the dungeon!
I used to have that problem too, but I started making dodge builds & always have something to take our back lines fire turn. I don’t even have to stress heal my party anymore which is so nice. Camping skills are also important definitely for long dungeons.
I really pulled on a lot of highwayman, crusaders and occultists as I believe they allow you to break some of the slower line ups that can limit your choices. Jesters and vestals are great, but can often be combined into the crusader for the main heal and stress heal portions. In most situations, your safest parties often look like a vestal, jester, then two damage dealers as the heals are there and battle ballad will make up for any lack of speed or accuracy. However, this naturally chews up two of your spots and plays a reactive style which is not worse, but can be limiting to new party ideas and compositions. Thank you for watching!

This is actually pretty bad ngl. Either change occultist into crusader and pd for vestal for the crimson hand or keep occultist and change hellion into ceusader and have occultist in 1:Pd stun, occultist stun, Duelist advance, hoky lance
I do agree she is probably one of my least used heroes in the game because her damage is either too much overkill and her support skills are pretty situational.

That was beyond brutal. I commentate over that in one of my videos called the weald experience. I couldn't believe it because it's a really low chance of all 4 being critically hit. Thank you for watching!
I really like
Vestal - Crusader - Crusader - Highwayman
It just i don't know feel like just ok to me
2 Holy Lance
1 point blank shot then duelist advance
And Vestal just being Vestal
Thank you for sharing!
I'm flabbergasted that six of these teams use Occulist, and not single one of them has him in a position here he can use his Stun, which I understood to be his best skill.
I do a few videos with the Frontline occultist. It's tough because they are a little squishy. But it's a good skill for sure.
Most of these parties would way better with occultist on rank 3 or 4th from left to right, since you are not using his stun which is one of the best abilities in the game.
Thank you for your thoughts!
I did see a party full of gravediggers gettin sneak almost fulltime
That is possible and unique.
leper with buff from himself (revenge) and from man at arms last two formation you can go with occultist and jester (battle ballad), you need everyone to dodge most of the hit and make leper a damage giver. and I am doing it without trinket.
Thank you for sharing!
nice ancestor's pen on your HM :^) cant get enough +stress
Lol whoops, must have put that on rather than the bullet. Thank you for noticing!
Hey Squidz, when you reference a "pull trinket" is that a trinket to increase a character's move percentage?
Great video, thanks for creating, editing & posting....much appreciated 👍
When I say pull trinket it most likely means increase pull chance not resistance. Thank you for asking.
Thank you I love videos like this keeps me playing the game
Thank you for watching, it is greatly appreciated!
I personally really like Vestal - Crusader - Crusader - Leper.
Thank you for sharing!
I like this party with 2 highway mans or 2 shieldbreakers instead of crusaders
This was fun to follow
Thank you for watching!
darkest dungeon plague doctor occultist and grave robber and highwaymen and leper that my combo I want to do when I get that game is it possible? What would you call it?
Party 9 doesn't work in base game I believe. Flagellant and Abom refuse to be in a party with each other.
Is this part of the crimson court then? I didn't buy the flag dlc separate from crimson court, but even with crimson court turned off I believe this party can be assembled.
@@HiDdeNSQuiDZGaming Hmm, according to the wiki the religious restrictions on Abom were removed with Color of Madness. However, it is still the case for my game. Might be a unique case for me then. I'll look into it some more.
That is odd. I knew the abomination and vestal were fixed in colors of madness but I don't remember the flagellant scenario.
@@HiDdeNSQuiDZGaming I've found the issue. For some reason my abomination.info.darkest file was still from 2017. I'm guessing the DLC update didn't go properly. Within it is the line "incompatible_party_member: .id abomination_religion .hero_tag religious".
And Flaggellant does count as a religious hero, so that'd be why.
Well I'm glad you found it! Hopefully they can team up now and have some good times.
What do you recommend for torchless runs?
For torchless runs you'll probably want to lean towards speed and damage. The critical strike chances will make it too painful to play slower.
@@HiDdeNSQuiDZGaming Thank you for this information. I just recently got back into Darkest Dungeon because I never even attempted the Darkest Dungeon because I would get ABSOLUTELY destroyed on champion level quests lol
Regarding the 1st party (Crus, HWM, Jester, Vestal), I can't help but notice that Jester can't reliably use Finale without any means to move forth from his 3rd slot. How is he supposed to use it?
My personal preference for finale is a deshuffle mechanic. If I get surprised pulled or pushed, it allows me to fix the party in one turn while doing damage most times.
so.... wheres the Crusader squad? :D
Haha it is killer for sure.
Im doing a full crusader run and i feel nothung but reg..... I errrr mean Fun! I feel nothing but fun and joy :D *looks to my graveyard with 3 already dead* yup.... nothing but fun...
Haha they're a little slow for certain enemies. I trust you can do it though!
@@HiDdeNSQuiDZGaming slowness sadly is only half the problem. I like battle heal and inspiring cry. But both heal like nothing in the beginning
You mean 1 HP and 3 HP isn't enough :P
The only combination I liked was the eighth I would dare to say that it is the only one that really works.
Thank you for watching.
Why do you think the other comps don't work? A lot of them work very well in my experience.
I thought so too but everyone has different play style and experiences.
Liked the video but you beg for subs and like so i put a thumb down
You do you. Thank you for watching!
That's such a petty thing to do 😂 I think you may need to pick up a dictionary and study what "beg" actually means.
