Hmm, that was a very quick statement thrown together after their sneaky removal was seen by locals, and went viral. It was about 10 hours before a statement was made.
I think we're going get a double package deal from Zamperla. Do you think BPPB would negotiate with Zamperla to build a multi launch compact coaster similar to the sky rocket they released coupke of years ago? The larger model was 230ft but how about they ask them build it to 240ft and break the height and speed record. Also they install one of there new spinning mouse models like the one at Cedar Point?
I don’t think they’ll get two rides, and at the minute it’d be a huge surprise if it was Zamperla. This could age like milk but so far I’ve not heard them mentioned in a single rumour.
I'd love to see them go for a record breaker but do they even care anymore with the state the park is in? I watched all your Icon construction updates. Can't believe how many years it's been
This has been thrown in a few times, especially when Bowl-A-Drome was removed, but personally, I’d love to see either a Mack Big Dipper, or a Single Rail coaster in there. BPB could really utilise the space that the Grand Prix takes up, because it’s a huge footprint. Plus, a single rail can be rather compact, using both the space that Grand Prix takes. Or, like I said, a Mack Big Dipper. BPB could easily remove Bowl-A-Drome, Planet Rock and have both the Grand Prix’s area, and have it go over the overpass, using the space that Bowl-A-Drome and Planet Rock use. Also behind both of those buildings is the car park, which again, could easily be utilised. Even move FY4 to where the grass is now, opening that area up even more. With Grand Prix gone, there’s a huge amount of room to really play with.
They need something which will draw in the sponsors to cover some of the cost. They may also get local funding if they go for a record too. For me I would be looking at something like Iron Gwazi with a 240ft lift hill, that ride has everything and would be a huge statement for Pleasure Beach Resort and ticks all the boxes with one of a kind inversions that you can't find anywhere else in the UK at the current time.
I think something like Juvelen would be something great nice intense launch coaster different from Icon and is a family coaster. Pleasure Beach have no family steel coasters could really use a family vekoma boomerang or junior coaster. Maybe a Modern Wooden Coaster from GCI would be good as it would contrast nicely with the old style woodies. A single rail is not out the question very versatile can have launches, whippy transitions, airtime and inversions in a compact space. I don't see RMC as there restraints are not compliant with UK Safety Law, but Intamin probably could
at last a huge waste of space glad to see it gone was the beginning of the end when they added the centre guide rails u could quite easily make no attempt to actually drive the cars not like it was years ago without the guide rail i remember it well
it's an interesting one and I do wonder how BPB will go forward with it but I would personally love to see a Mack Stryker or a Vekoma Flying coaster in that space. It's a fairly large area and they could do some amazing things with those 2 models!
Am currently here right now lol but it's a shame the big dipper is down 4 the day and not running and same for big one even though it's a hot day long waiting times tho for rides.
Good video so far while watching it currently, hope to see something new that’s fun for everyone coming to the space. Maybe even multiple rides could open in the same depending on how big of a space they use for whatever they are making after Grand Prix is fully gone.
Interesting times ahead, as Merlin has taken the height record away from Blackpool Pleasure Beach I wonder if Pleasure Beach will retaliate by taking the record of most inversions on a rollercoaster…. It sounds crazy but when you think The Smiler has held the record for 11 years now there could be a possibility 🤔, I know it’s not a massive space but when you see what space Alton Towers had before The Smiler was built it could be time for Blackpool Pleasure Beach to get creative and when you think how rollercoasters have evolved since The Smiler was built it’s not too far fetched 😀
would defo be up for 300ft Stealth/Red Force...that would be incredible for Blackpool.....that would get the crowds flocking. Only problem with that would be the launch wouldnt be as good as Stealth.
Ok I'll be the grumpy old man. Let's say they build a super-duper new coaster, the tallest and/or fastest. It attracts people to the park ... but for how long? My point being, unless other aspects of the park are improved, can one new ride no matter how much of an attraction, improve and more importantly sustain gate numbers longer term 'if' other aspects aren't also improved?
How exciting! But I'll always miss it.... but I have it in my memories like the many many others. I'd like an RMC obviously but that's not gonna happen. So I think a mack striker is possible and many more but a real show stopper mack striker or super spinner.
Whatever PB decide to do with that area I don't think they'll do it in a rush. Maybe a slow, bit by bit demolition over the next couple of closed seasons?
Record breaking...but this time do it right, the big one was neant to be record breaking...but got beat within a year , or something like i know it wasnt long , so not beat the record by one foot , something thst the world will go wow
@owenjohn1192 S&S has another 4d coaster in China. They also have a smaller model called the free spin, which is what they were talking about. They are different but both S&S
I’ve got a good feeling Pleasure Beach are going to pull one out of the bag with this. I’m not as much a rollercoaster buff as others but just hope we get something with the same forward thinking as Voltron / Hyperia etc.
Blackpool Pleasure Beach holds a special place in the hearts of many people. Numerous individuals are hoping and wishing for the park to make some significant investments to revitalize the area, especially to replace empty spaces like the Wild Mouse and Trauma Towers. The park seems neglected in certain parts. Over the years, they could have added a few flat rides, which are known to be great crowd-pleasers, to keep visitors happy. I sincerely hope the park makes some solid investments and creates a roadmap similar to that of Paultons Park. Additionally, they need to offer a more affordable ticket price for on-the-day purchases and advertise this aggressively along the mile-long road leading to the tower. This strategy could attract the summer beachgoers. If they flood the area with advertisements highlighting the lower prices during the summer, young people will definitely flock to the park. I genuinely hope Blackpool Pleasure Beach (Resort) finds its way back to prominence, as there is nothing quite as unique as this resort.
Could they not make a ride in homage to Grand Prix I mean a coaster and maybe go for the fastest coaster rather than the height and maybe have grand prix style coaster train 😁😁😁
Tom Sawyer bridge was demolished in the 2015 off season. Icon opened 2 and a half years later. If the Grand Prix gets fully demolished this closed season and it's being replaced with a coaster I'd expect a 2027 opening. But how confident are you that there are current plans to replace it with a coaster?
2027 at the earliest, but 2028 wouldn’t surprise me. They’ve 100% held on site discussions and consultations with at least two very popular manufacturers, so confident they want a coaster not confident they have the funding (yet).
A new woodie would be nice but they tend to require a lot of space. Not a record breaker per se unless they go for most inversions on a wooden coaster or something like that. Wonder if a small RMC Iron Horse (I beam) would fit
Should it be replaced with a coaster? With the amount of space freed up I can see a couple of flat rides going in there, maybe a family type ride and a thrill ride - both would cost considerably less than a coaster. Personally I would like to see a properly themed area / ride as that’s something that BP doesn’t really do
Yes absolutely should be a coaster, flat rides won’t get people through the door but a coaster will do *if* it’s marketed well. BPB in my opinion doesn’t need theming.
@@yourexperienceguide problem is pleasure beach suck at marketing these days, a record-breaking coaster to take the UK height limit back might be the only thing that could really bring people through as you don’t have to be a genius to market that as a practically market itself.
@@yourexperienceguide with the amount of rides removed and some sbno we could assume that pb financials are not great. They should put in a temp eating area in the station until its time for it to go as it would help mask the emptyness of that area. Id defo love to see a single rail coaster or a new generation spinning coaster. I cant see them using a launch coaster due to being so close to icon so maybe a veritcal lift would be better to make use of the space and to reach a good height? I also think the park should get a log flume in the future as the uk is lacking on a decent permanent log flume.
It worked but it poured down and it broke down . Al had to ride alone as I couldn’t get in because of my knackered hip . Unlimited Icon rides was good tough 🙌🏽🧱👍🏽
I bet that copper is worth a bit, hence the speedy removal!
Makes sense
Yeah took out before the thieves take it
Great update and good to see ya both yesterday!
Likewise, thank you 🙏
I will believe it when I see it......wasn't the wild mouse area for " future development "
Hmm, that was a very quick statement thrown together after their sneaky removal was seen by locals, and went viral.

Don't think I ever rode on this one but I always liked to look at it! Excited to see what will come next!
Exciting times ahead

Avalanche is definitely a family coaster, height limit is low.
ICON is family-thrill.

700ft 200mph 15 inversion vekoma tilt. I've seen the plans. 😂

There’s lots of exciting possibilities
I hope they offer the cutout to Craig to keep!
Keep saying it vertical launch polar job 15 loopdey loops job done.... 😂
TPR would be happy with “loopy loops” 😂
I think they’d go for a Vekoma Motorbike coaster and stick with the racing theme, hopefully not another SLC or STC
double the hight double the size ??
Whatever PB decide to do with that area I don't think they'll do it in a rush. Maybe a slow, bit by bit demolition over the next couple of closed seasons?
I think we’ll see how ambitious they are about building a new coaster by how quickly it all comes down
Did they allow him to take his cut out?
Yeah
I recon it's going to be a boomerang style family ride.
Hopefully not

A ride to happiness?
S&S 4d
Be good elsewhere in the park
@art3free How many have you ridden?
@art3free no you haven't! there is only one S&S 4d and it's in Japan. You probably rode a zac spin which is a completely different ride!

Has anyone ever made a updated style log flume

It could happen soon, I’ll be keeping an eye out for your updates whilst I’m in America 😄
The rail will b worth a bit too. Very heavy to lift.
@@yourexperienceguide that’s crazy to hear from you thankyou so much! Enjoy your trip, I’m looking forward to the vlogs 😄🇺🇸🎢
I think if intamin were involved, a good fit would maybe be a hotracer? Easy record for the UKs first single rail. Or even call in RMC for that 👀
Shame , remember going on with my grandad, about 1972ish

Bring back The Reel and put it in that space!!
