Joy is such a joy. You have alot of her in you. I was thinking the price of that other Roadtrek was a little steep. Your adventure to Seattle will be fun. Take at least one picture with the three of you together. Once in a lifetime events should be greatly celebrated! Especially by three generations of amazing women.
I understand. Been there myself. A regular generator won't cost so much when you are ready. I sold my used one for $800 a while ago. Good luck. At least you're having fun!
Buy it! Roadtreks have a great resale value because they are so well built and reliable. That makes them expensive. Buy it!

If you put that battery in your van as a house battery make sure the converter can work with it. Had to change mine when I upgraded to lithium batteries

I don't know about lithium battery's, but my dad always told me not to set a battery directly on concrete, it would ruin them. Maybe ask Al? Also, I heard great reviews about that battery company. You're a lucky girl!

68K for that is crazy. I bought a 2022 Forester 2351 for 63K. Setting out for Tuktoyaktuk at the end of June.
The thing on the top is a TV antenna.
Hi Tracey, love that you are your own person. You do a great job on your reviews of your e-bikes; they all seem very nice but hopefully at the end you will tell us which one would work best for you? I have a Trek Verve e-bike and love it!!
My favorite to ride was the cruiser! But because I like the style of the bike. They all do the same thing, they are electric and have throttles and pedal assist. It’s more about what a person specifically is looking for in the bike and what style they like. The cruiser is my style 😁
Cruiser does seem very nice but some trails I ride on don’t allow class 2 or 3 due to the throttle?

I'm also looking for a newer Roadtrek to replace my 2005 170 Popular that I paid 27k for 9 years ago. I keep mine in my garage so it's not faded or have any rust as I don't drive it in winter. I'm in the market for a 2014/2015 Popular model and 70k is at the top of my price. I pull up RVTrader everyday to see what's available and willing to fly someplace but that 2007 is way overpriced, should be selling in the 45-50k range. My wife and I got a great tandem ride in last Monday, she wanted to see all the beautiful tulips at a private residence at 25th and Humbolt in Mlps. Continued on around the lakes to see all the huge houses and wonder what they must pay in property taxes. Well good luck on your search for a newer Roadtrek.

be careful, batteries should be put on a block of wood. in my experiences concrete floors drain car and lithium batteries'. Love your channel.

Nice units for off grid camping. Their units heated and cooled. Many of us with camper vans have roof vents with fans.
I'm holding out for a version that could mount on the roof as a vent replacement or AC replacement. Benefits would be that it wouldn't take up any space inside a camper or van and being on the roof the roof solar could plug directly into it.
The units as is would shine for heat and air conditioning in a tent or SUV camping situation or in a pickup with a topper on it that's being used for camping.
Dr. Hannah Straight also reviewed a portable fridge/freezer/ice maker that was interesting but too big for my van. If they made that in a vertical version that would fit where most van campers have their refrigerators it would really sell.
I could see Kieth having enough room for one of those. That's ice for your cocktail on command without the need to fire up the generator when off grid.

I'm so glad you said what you paid for your RoadTrek - I was thinking of flipping one too and wondered what you paid.
Class B RVs are more expensive. I don’t know why but I’ve been looking at them for years (about 20) and the are more expensive than most class C’s. New class B’s are over 100k.

Hi Tracey, that roadtrek is definitely overpriced.I found my Esther( 96D190P )about a year ago. I drove from S.E. Minnesota to S.E. Wisconsin to pick her up. I paid. $23,000 for her.
Esther and I had some great adventures last summer and then sat in my driveway all winter winterized and waiting for spring. Finally last March I started remodeling Esther . It has been so fun picking out paint,wall paper,fabrics ect.
We will be leaving in a few months on a 9 month road trip. Honestly, I am excited but also scared shit less. Like you I also fear bridges and mountains . So, I always remember what you said 'the only way to it is through it.'
I could see you Flippin Roadtreks. I think there are alot of older Roadtreks 1994-2004 with low mileage for under $30,000.

I thought Roadtreks had onboard generators that will run the air conditioner?
Mine doesn’t work. I tried to get it fixed and they can’t figure it out.
@@AdvanturesOver50 I’ve heard that a lot. I’m thinking of buying a Roadtrek if I can find a good certified Onan mechanic. I hope you can find one too that would be a game changer. I’d also like solar and have the generator for back up.
You should be able to get a newer one for that much.
I'm disappointed that Joy didn't qualify but she's a very positive person and I don't believe she'll let it get her down for long if at all. I have a slight fever and had a whole thing typed out and it just went away. So irritating. I need to tell you about my Hyundai Sonata seizing and they gave me a brand new one for free! I'll give more details when I feel better, I promise. I don't want anyone else to get taken by a mechanic who would rather charge you $7,500 before he gives you the real lo-down.

Roadtreks have become sought after classics. 68,000 was the right starting price for that. I have a 2008 210 popular I would never sell for less than that. Why dont you get a generator so you can run the back air cond. whenever you want. I just put in an inverted generator for $3,300.00 and an inverted air conditioner for a couple of hundred and they are both so quiet you wouldnt believe it. So worth the money.
I can’t afford that right at the moment. I’m floating my daughter until she’s done with her student teaching and graduates this month so hopefully soon!!!!

Hello, OMG don't buy that. That is $45,000 too much. There is no way that is worth that. I've owned vans back when vans weren't cool. I've had a dodge and chevies, gmc, and Fords. I will never buy another van that's not a ford. I'm not one of those ford/chevy people either. Whatever is better is what I choose, but I won't even look at anything besides a Ford anymore. I currently have a 2015 Ford Transit with high roof long wheelbase. It's huge. I did the work on the back. It's got a 6 cylinder 3.7l engine and it has 260,000 miles on it and runs perfect. Never had to do anything to it either. I paid $7,000 for it a few years ago used. A 6'5" person can stand straight up in it. I could sleep 6 people in it comfortably, if needed.
