Man I got H910 and UAD based on this video, but I forgot to get your Vintage Essentials! Gotta wait till the 1st week in December to go back and get that 😢
Bought a lot of your recommendations and been testing for the past few hours and here's my favorites so far: - h910: extremely impressed. Adds some really unique textures 10:38 (probably my fav pickup) - Oxford Inflator will be helpful for adding loudness without compression 12:41(also saw Disclosure using this) - UAD LA2 for vintage compression is really nice 21:07 - Soulfi seems cool, I tend to cut up drum loops a lot so Im hoping this will allow me more editing flexibility with the speed of still starting with a drum loop Not mentioned in this video but I bought in past Black Friday sales that I love: - Soundtoys bundle (I use decapitator & echoboy on almost every project and radiator & microshift a bit) - Soothe2 (use on almost every project) Personally I bought Arturia V collection last Black Friday but rarely use it, so idk if I'd personally recommend (my music is also a lot more sample based though so take with a grain of salt)
I bought the V Collection but returned it because all the sounds felt very "thin". Especially compared to Omnisphere or Kontakt, I got Pigments instead for 50$ and I'm super happy. Thanks for that H910 Harmonizer gem, it's actually a game changer, great video bro
I'm trying to decide if Im gonna buy the NI Komplete 15 Bundle or the Arturia V Collection. Which one would you recommend? You got any clear suggestion?
I own both and they’re excellent but very different. Arturia delivers 39 classic keyboards and synths you know and have heard - familiar names. NI’s strength is unique sampled instruments, guitars, bass, 9 drum machines and 15 synths - not emulating the classics at all - but modern and new.
Do you think the Total Studio 4 MAX bundle for 150$ is worth it? I know the Modo bass 2 is insane but I'm not sure for the rest.. Good vid as always man!
Any synth works. I would suggest learning sound design and learn how to make pads from scratch - they are pretty easy to make. Saw tooth, sine wave, take the filter down, bit of a slow attack and a very slow release on the AMP ADSR. Add some reverb if desired, and there you have a basic pad. You can do this in Serum, Pigments, Vital, any of the analog lab synths, etc.
I get your point and if you are beginner (just like me) you’re right. But after few months you really start to feel limited and you start to realize that all the stock plugins you have, are pretty trash or at least they have really low quality pre sets
@@actove1927 I use fl and yes it comes with everything you need to make music, but it doesn't change the fact that quality is not the greatest. But I gotta admit that it has pretty good synths
@@Skyblue_ttvIf you're a beginner producer, at most you should be using free plugins and focusing on your techniques for the first year or so. I only used free plugins after over a year of sticking to stock plugins, learning all I could about how these affected sound and how to use them, and only after 2 more years did I ever pay for my first plugins Focus on your skills and knowledge first, it'll be better in the long run

spawn is very intriguing, curious to how it does on something other than minor trap... they don't have a trial and no refunds... thanks for the video

Trust me, i'll save you some money, you don't NEED any of these plugins, you DAW in 2024 comes with everything you NEED as a producer.

I’m looking at the H910 harmonized, but the H949 is discounted for the same price on PluginBoutique. What’s the difference wrt beatmaking?
Both are equally dope, the H949 is the more complex of the two but you can get crazy tones and textures just like the H910 with it. Hope it helps!

I ended up getting the H910 as I figured it was easier to learn
2:57 what preset did u use for this bro, it sounds a lot like the matriarch
