You are a very good teacher . Thank you for explaining step by step. My Stat teacher isn't this good at explaining or taking it step by step. She seems to think we students are all Math geniuses or Statisticians. SD is one of my challenging areas. Thank you for breaking it down.
Hey umm i just want to say thank you because i had an exam tomorrow and i dont know what to do on how to solve it then i see your video and watch the entire video and now i can understand for the first time thankyou so much you are a W teacher
My first year at university and my stay teacher goes crazy fast through the lecture, thank you very much for teaching it this way! Helped me understand it way better.
This was one of the best examples I have seen and practiced so far....Thank you!!!! The only part I am having difficulty with is when I solve for SD at the end how do I get number if I am not allowed a calculator in the exam. I notice you hit the sq root key. Awesome!!!!! Thank you again.
@@mathhomeworkhelp7575 Yes, quick question and thank you for responding. The final step of SD how do I square without a calculator, when you got the final answer 9.79. Thank you again. Your presentation is awesome. Have a good day!
@@cynthiawilliamsst.johnheal7195 you will need a calculator for square root otherwise you will just approximate it..the basis definition of square root is this: Square root of a times square root of a is equal to a. A square root of anything when you multiply it by itself it will gives you back the number inside the square root. Square root of 9.79 is equal to 3.something because 3 point something times 3 point something equals 9.79..hard to do it without a calculator because of decimals..perfect square is easy because they are whole numbers..ex. Square root of 25=5 we do not need a calculator
Thank you so much! I wish you were my teacher back when I was in school. I am studying for a national exam. I have to check to see if I can use a calculator. Have a wonderful day and taking time out of your schedule to answer my questions. You rock!

Depends on your instructor. We usually keep one decimal point. For example if the raw data is 9 (whole number) then we keep one decimal point 2.5 for our calculation
Mam I wanna ask you that why you use N-1 as denominator in standard deviation why you didn't use only N in denominator in standard deviation ...Plzz reply I am confused
Then the exact middle number is the median Suppose you have 1,2,3,4,5 then the median is 3 because it is right in the middle.. If you have 1,2,3,4,5,6 then the median would be the average of the two middle number 3+4/2=3.5

if there is not the most popular value in a dataset, how can we find the Mode like 200,300,400,500,600
You indicate there’s no mode as your answer (i stand to be corrected) i dont think most frequent number is calculated

What id the mean has decimal numbers? Should we round it off?

Awesome job at explaining!!
What is the variance? Can you explain it?
what if I got decimal numbers on the mean, am i gonna round off it or just solve it with decimals?
Depends on your teacher’s instructions. But usually yes we use it with decimals.
nice good explanation thnx a lot

you are great thank you so much for the explanation
Ma'am if x&y are given in data set
How to used a formula.we need to find y bar x bar or we just calculate like this??
Are you trying to find the standard deviation?
Thank you for the effort ❤
How about for 1 to 9 in the median
What is the middle
1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8,9
The number 5 is in the middle. There are four numbers to the left and 4 numbers to the right
This is ungrounded data right?
What do you mean by ungrounded?
The example you gave is ungroup date

How to find the mode if the data are all not similar?
It will be no mode
Idk how we get 3 for the mean when we multiply???
To find the mean, you add all the data value x then divide by N or total number of data

NOTE: The denominator for the standard deviation is simply N, i.e. the number of items/elements/values .
It's NOT (N - 1)
If you are dealing with the population then yes it is just N, but if you are dealing with a sample then it's n-1
@@mathhomeworkhelp7575 exactly. Thanks 😊
Thank you so much.
Thanks 😊 miss
Thank you so much mam ❤❤
please cross check the formula? it only n in SD formula and not N-1.
Depends if you are dealing with sample or population
If you are dealing with population then it is just N, but if you are dealing with samples then n-1
