They had a chance to leave DS behind and do a new franchise and just went with the same tired systems. Right off the heels of their most mechanically fresh game, Sekiro. Armored Core 6 turned out brilliantly as well. Maybe Miyazaki is right to let others direct future games. They're ready.

Problem with that type of camera is that you don’t see your character in many circumstances which make the game feel less satisfying And you can see the camera is still a problem at some point in this video
@@jackmaster258the lock on function is a function, it cannot provide perfect POV 100% of the time since there are tech limitations. Most of the cameras problem in the DLC can be solved by either changing the way you’re positioned or unlocking for some attack. I’m not saying there isn’t any problem and that fromsoft shouldn’t look for ways to make the camera better in next games, just saying that camera problems aren’t game breaking

You are supposed to be rewarded for deflecting, not punished. Besides, if you can’t deflect the swings, what else would you do to avoid the attacks? The dodge has essentially no I-frames in sekiro. The only way to make consort radahn a challenging fight in sekiro would just be to make him much quicker and aggressive to match the fast paced combat of sekiro.

Radahn in Sekiro, really shows just how fast of a game Sekiro really is. I wish we got a prequel or another game using the same mechanics as Sekiro from Fromsoft.
It also shows that quite a few of the bosses in Elden Ring are way too fast given how slow we are in comparison. They need to get rid of the input buffer or reduce it waaaaaaaaay down and give us a means to replenish our health through attacks without talismans or tears OR decrease the drink animation time by a significant amount.

I actually love this. I personally think it does show the flaws with ER combat and boss design though. This just looks like it feels so much better and what the combat should have been like. This, with a Bloodborne style quickstep and the combat could have been perfect in Elden Ring.
It's so cool that Radahn's attack combos play so well into parrying a few hits, sneaking in a hit of your own, and then parrying the rest of the combo. I wish that was a more prevalent idea in the original Sekiro.
Today I learned that Consort Radahn's move set is the same as the Ministry fighters in burning Ashina Castle and I can't wait till I get out if work to test this theory out myself.

This fight perfectly shows why the deflecting hardtear is so OP. ER bosses just don't attack as fast as sekiro bosses so it's super easy to time your parries. Not to mention the truckload of damage and poise damage you do on a guard counter after consecutive parries. I did a run with the deflecting hardtear and it's hilarious how much it trivializes the game when paired with good guard counter weapons, stamina regen and the guard boost talisman. I really hope they don't nerf it because its so fun to use
@fatallettuce5959 I did NG+3 with deflecting hardtear and carian thrusting shield and it was some of the most fun I've ever had in this game. I love this tear, and also, the thrusting shields are so underrated. They're so much fun to build around
The moment I heard about this tear and it's Sekiro parry, I just thought it was useless cos this game isn't build around Sekiro parries at all. It seems like I was wrong and it does somehow work. But I'm not good enough to beat every boss in 3 minutes either, especially the bs ones like Malenia.

The biggest annoyance in this fight are the effects that cover the whole screen and effectively blind the players ability to follow attack cues. Not everyone is Ongbal.
Phase 2 of this fight shows that outward camera panning is possible for larger attacks - I only wish we had a similar feature in Elden Ring.
I hate how FromSoftware can make the best bosses in gaming history yet aren't able to zoom out the camera where it is necessary.
