    I am always impressed when this dude speaks. Paul McGowan is also very engaging and admirably resists the temptation to just push his own products unless specifically asked to do so. I have learnt loads about high end audio from Paul and as a result have made some some informed and ultimately very satisfying hi fi choices
    Daryl is different and his ability to interweave personal stories about his family so eloquently into his overall narrative is a credit to both himself and his father's legacy. I am from the UK and sadly, US kit comes at a premium over here. I may never be able to fully justify the expense of my grail McIntosh/Wilson Audio setup, but the more I hear Daryl speak the more it seems likely the purchase of Wilson Audio loudspeakers will eventually become a reality one day.

    I have been to Wilson Audio and toured their facility. The level of care these guys put into each speaker from TuneTot on up is incredible. It was very impressive to watch in person.

    My Story with the Watt Puppy started with a very unfriendly High End Dealer in the City I resided during my Apprenticeship. I had to trick him to believe that I inherited a ton of money to make him demo his best speaker. Which was a Watt Puppy 5.1. So, basically the model you see in the Video in Black. The impressions of that demo lingered in my head until I was able to purchase a pair of WP 5.1, 20 and some years later.
    I have moved on to a Sasha 2 since then. Hard to tell from far wich one I would prefer today. But it can be said that I never saw the Sasha as the real successor to the Watt Puppy. They were in sales terms, but not in size, and not in the sense of "simplicity" of a WP. So I am glad that Daryl and his Team have closed that gap. Job well done, as always!

      The comment I was replying to was deleted. As you can see, it was to @MasterofPlay7. Not sure if it was deleted by Stereophile or the the person who wrote it. I now see all of @MasterofPlay7's comments were deleted. All of which were negative about Wilson Speakers. Some times people make negative comments then wait for replies, and then reply to those to that replied to them. After which they delete all of their comments so no one can reply with a rebuttal. Sounds strange, but there are a lot of strange people on RUclips comment sections. BTW, I'm a Wilson speaker fan also.

      @@georgechronis3169 I disagree. I had the chance to buy a 2nd hand Sasha 2 and I remain impressed. They did a great Job with the Sasha's to follow the W/P, but they aren't within the same price range anymore. The W/P was, for many, the best Wilson they could afford. Now, the new W/P comes at the same Price as the Sasha2 at it's time. And it may (again) become the best Wilson Speaker many can or want to afford.

  • @AN-ce1nd
    @AN-ce1nd 3 месяца назад +2

    Never really understood Wilson. They use Corian material for speakers. The drivers are not made in house. They are just speaker builders. Cut, sand, prime , paint sell. Look at how many are in the secondary market. Just get a pair of Focals, or the Italian maker.
