- As part of the bonus content on the Blu-ray version of the movie "Pirates of the Caribbean - Dead Man's Chest", you can find this Java game, playable on any standard Blu-ray player.
In this video the game is played on a PlayStation 3.

It's kinda sad how DVD games go so unnoticed, this was just uploaded 3 years ago and yet it has so little views. While some are just basic puzzles DVD extras like these are quit frankly amazing with a lot of dedication to them, I fear that some might become lost media now that DVDs aren't as popular thanks to streaming services.

Sparetime devs make homebrew games for the game consoles that feature a blu-ray player. Sometimes the games also run on a standard player.

This was clearly done to make up for the fact that the full Liar's Dice scene was shortened during editing and I love it for that.

Yes. It runs on any Blu-ray player. And PS4 is a Blu-ray player too. Same goes for PS3 and XB1, as well as the future PS5 and Xbox Scarlett.

I'm confused. I bet 2 dice of 3's. And there was indeed two dice of 3's. I had one 3 and Pintal had one 3. He called me a liar and the game said I was a liar. Wasnt I telling the truth? Because you're supposed to guess between my and Pintals dice...or did I get the rules wrong lol.
There is a bug in the game. I noticed it almost every time i played. He would bind like 3x, 6 and i call him a liar, he has 2x, 6 and it says he wasnt lying and i lose my dice

Most DVD and Blu-ray versions of movies come with bonus material, typically just additional videos like backstage footage and interviews etc., but sometimes also a game or two. In recent times, streaming services has finally begun including this bonus material with the movies too, but right now the games are too complex for the streaming platforms, so they remain exclusive to the Blu-ray and/or DVD version.
I have uploaded a few Blu-ray games from other movies too here on my RUclips channel, and recently discovered a game on Disney's "Snowwhite" as well, which I may make a video of in the near future too. :)

@@landymaui4465 I don't think so no. But what country is that? I was sure it would be included on the Blu-ray version of the movie in all countries. This does not include the DVD version though.

Not exactly the brightest AI in the bunch! A simple probability lesson would go a long way. If you opponent has 4 or 5 dice, probability dictates they have at least 1 of any number you bid. 3 or less, you have to assume, they don't have the number. In a real life game of Liar's Dice, the strategy is more ambiguous when it comes to reading people, but less complex compared to poker. The game is too simple to engage most people for long time periods.
I think the game is more fun the more people there are. It becomes increasingly harder to guess probabilities the more people there are. And if everyone is sharing drinks while playing, it could be fun for hours. I never get tired of playing Liar's Dice.

@@MrTHEMONEEMAKER You could have made the argument that these 2 men are stupid in the series, and therefore less likely to make good bids. The thin guy was revealed to be illiterate, and the fat guy has a very hard time getting people to take him seriously.

I checked both the animation and the newer version with Emma Watson. Can't find any games on either of them. Maybe there are different versions depending on region.

No. It's part of the blu-ray release.
Technically, if turned into an ISO file, it would be playable on a PC using media players like VLC, Kodi and PowerDVD. Kodi even supports streaming a blu-ray folder remotely. And hardware media boxes like the ones from Dune can also play ISO files and blu-ray folder structures.
But commercial titles like this one are protected, so you can only do this with your own projects like home video discs, and homebrew games like the ones found on blu-play.com
