Its actually one of the main reasons (from what I've read) that these companies are increasingly shying away from 50 cal in their new self defense products. With 68 cal they can safely increase the power without the risk of overpenetration. I'm assuming that this allows the projectile to be more effective than a 50 cal without the risk of accidental "deletion" of the intruder.
We told you it was a Beast. You get the best power with the V3 rounds as they are a perfect bore match. You're welcome... Hope that ringing is better now 😺 And yeah we're all waiting for the Solstice. Hopefully you'll see one at ShotShow 2025.

Yeah. Completely understand the paintball labeling. The funny thing is, the paintballs even made a mess in my lower powered HK VP9 from Umarex. Even with the paintball spring, the burst of CO2 gas was still busting them in the magazine.
The only launcher I've gotten a good success rate at launching paint at a high fps (390 fps JUL V2) is the Mission TPR. It did a good job even with the crappy Big 5 Spyder paint. Even if a round did break, the TPR shot the next paint round OK. The loud crack the round made upon impact was satisfying. Have you tried the paint made for winter/cold weather? The wax shell is supposedly thicker.
Hey brother, another great video. Thanks for sharing the Gavle in the belly band. As I mentioned in the thanks email, an awesome product with nice presentation. I carried my Gavle in mine on my last day off running around paying bills and getting my vehicle serviced. Under a size larger than t-shirt. If anyone noticed, nothing was said. This in Key West, Florida. Do discomfort at all. As for the launcher, awesome power and decent design. Until further testing and time though, I will stick with my Gavle. ( wife also said no more launchers until maybe next year) .😢 Thanks again.
That is Absolutely..the Most Impressive Launcher that I have seen so far. Poor Skully. Hopefully, Umarex will come up with something similar in the future...maybe something with the Same Power, but with an ALL IN ONE MAGAZINE.
I have the Intrubuster and love it. But already have a little issue. That spring loaded pivoting bar "thing" that holds down the projectiles on the mag, keeps popping off at the pivot point where a little pin holds it in place. It will prevent the mag from dropping! You have to really fiddle with it and hopefully not break it, to set it free. Then snap it back over the pin after you have freed it.. Happened twice already.

How about a belly band for the salt supply s2 ? I have one for my hdp.50 which although isn't the greatest it does work I can also get my S2 in it except that the wider rail is an issue when trying to draw the s2 from it .

Hey Jon been loving the content and knowledge curious if you can do a video all about edc the t4e line ideally a bryna is best because the co2 doesn’t puncture until you need it but I’m curious if you can reliably edc a Walther pdp or if the change in temperature would result in bad seals with the co2 pierced would love to hear your thoughts and what you edc

@@Commodatio actually, the barrel is actually threaded in. It wouldn’t be too tough to add an extended burial, or some sort of suppressor. I guarantee that this community will come up with something :-) they are nothing if not innovative.
The white dots are the detents the little doors on the top the little buttons on each side That's where those go there they're the detents for the barrel

@@Dizzydoesalot It depends on the nylon balls and it's size. I noticed on my HDX, the Duke Glass Breakers are just a bit too small so they roll right out of the launcher where the Byrna Kinetic rounds get jammed in the barrel because they're just a smidge too large. I found the 4.6 gram Homewrecker Busting Balls are the perfect size and cycle beautifully in my 50 Joule HDX. The Duke Thumper rounds are good too. I don't use aluminum or steel rounds as they damage the inside of the barrel over time. The exceptions I found are the 10 gram Ceramic coated steel core as the rounds as the ceramic doesn't scratch the barrel. Everyone has their preferences of what type of rounds they like and dislike. It's all about what works best for each person.

So is the byrna le a don't buy in your opinion would you not buy it over Pistelle. This will be my first launcher. I was sold on the le, then I started watching all these videos and I don't know which direction to go. I definitely want a weapon thats ready to use at all times. So I know I can't get that with the grimburg gavle but that and this pistelle are the most powerful . If this was your first launcher what would you suggest?
@@chriscrosby8457I'd say it depends on what you plan to use for ammo-- if primarily pepper balls and you think you'll need more than 5 rounds, the Byrna with a spare mag would be the way to go-- it doesn't hit as hard, so you'll have enough gas for 3~4 mags. If you just need a hard-hitting kinetic launcher, the X-68/Intrubuster or S2 would do you well. Since the first shot from the Byrna comes out slower, I always have pepper for the chambered round and aluminum after. The remainder are a mix of nylon and pepper. Pepper is good for animals and outdoors, kinetic for winter clothing or breaking glass.

It has the trinity: A quick pierce system. A reliable magazine. Powerful single mag performance. And it all started way back with the TPX / TiPX. With the exception of the Byrna(overpriced and underpowered), I think you cant really go wrong now.

You can indeed. There are quick pierce magazines for all of them so you’re c02 is fresh the moment you need it.

Grimburg chemical rounds have the thickest shells they'll be fine. DK tested Duke rounds and they didn't break.
Can you run the aluminum 7.3 gram or the riot balls?
As long as they aren't too large for the barrel, then Yes you can.

So I know I can't get that with the grimburg gavle but that and this pistelle are the most powerful . If this was your first launcher what would you suggest?
I’d look at the Byrna LE, Salt Supply S2, or the Pistelle .68. All of them are fantastic for what you are looking for.

@@chriscrosby8457I'd say it depends on what you plan to use for ammo-- if primarily pepper balls and you think you'll need more than 5 rounds, the Byrna with a spare mag would be the way to go-- it doesn't hit as hard, so you'll have enough gas for 3~4 mags. If you just need a hard-hitting kinetic launcher, the X-68/Intrubuster or S2 would do you well.
Since the first shot from the Byrna comes out slower, I always have pepper for the chambered round and aluminum after. The remainder are a mix of nylon and pepper. Pepper is good for animals and outdoors, kinetic for winter clothing or breaking glass.

Powerful single mag performance.
And it all started way back with the TPX / TiPX. With the exception of the Byrna(overpriced and underpowered), I think you cant really go wrong now.
