      At the end of the performance, Mike Love had his back to the audience. He looked like he was fighting with some of the performers. He seems like a very bad tempered person.

    Was that Ben E King on the stage? I saw Bennie when I was about 17 during a snowstorm at a high school in Baltimore, very few kids were there because (parents wouldn't let them drive in such terrible weather) but he performed two sets and he was mesmerizing, I remember standing close to the platform, absolutely shivering because he stared into my eyes...what a thrill..and frightening..he was such a marvelous singer.

      I’m the guy who was responsible for all the band gear on stage that night and before the show I pulled Bruce Springsteen said and said “ Bruce I’ve got a beautiful 1954 butterscotch Fender Telecaster for you to play and the end of the night and he said “ not tonight Eddie I think I m going guitar less”. Though I think he ended up playing something later after all.

      Thank you so much for your sentiments because I am currently at home in bed battling the Coronavirus ( it’s been a couple of weeks so far so good). I was fortunate to work on special assignments ( recording studio stuff, rehearsal studio, one -off concerts) for Bruce from 1980 to 1988. He truly is the “real deal “” as an artist, performer and most of all great person. I was very fortunate to have worked for his manager George Travis.

    Wow.... apart from Jagger and Springsteen, we can see most of the beach boys ( Mike Love, Al Jardine and Bruce Johnston ), Jeff Lynne, John Forgety, Dylan and George Harrison. At 1:29 we can see the beach boy Carl Wilson. Prpbably Brian was on the stage as well. But......Mike Love is so ignored by Jagger that makes me unconfortable. Mike should never have said those things about the Stones and the Beatles. What a jerk. I love the beach boys, but Mike....

Black people created Rock and Rock as it was derived from the Blues. The Supremes were second only to the Beatles in terms of number one hit records in the 60s!

      What’s significant about this is, this is the time when John was missing in action. No one had heard from him in years. He chose to resurface to honor his friends and influences. I had a nice talk with him that night he was really sweet.Ed
