Dang, The Beatles got a lot of new members in 1988
I loved George replicating the head shake during each of the wooo choruses.
It was like he slipped back into the Beatle George character for 3 minutes.
@@Bigeazy87 I wonder when he last played that song prior to that evening. Probably 1965? Likely never played it again live.
@@mcgurkryans All true!
Billy Joel, George Harrison, Bruce Springsteen, Bruce Johnston, Mick Jagger, Bob Dylan, Brian Wilson, Ringo Starr... All of them in one stage playing I Saw Her Standing There. Wow.
with a macca song sad that paul was not there
+ Jeff Beck (guitar solo)
Fantastic line up.The Beatles are the best band ever.
wildenfree1
Where's Bob Dylan?
This was more than likely the last time George ever played this song.
seattwa I loved George!
Idk- he didn’t die for another 12+yrs
@@missymarie2698 He wasn't much into playing Beatles songs, especially not his own.
@@Mr.56Goldtop yeah Paul wrote this one - and he wasn't even there!
I believe this was the last time that he played this song. He was never a big fan of playing Beatles songs, especially the songs that weren't his.
1:26 George shaking his head as the old times
00:24
Its funny because that's Paul's thing
Secretly I think Mick Jagger prefer to be a beatle
❤️❤️❤️
@@warwick802, I think it was in honor of Paul's memory.
That's a few stars right there.
hi
wheres the PM ?
Here we see Mick Jagger fulfilling his lifelong dream of being a Beatle
Relax, Francis.
🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉
Bob Dylan looks really happy to be there.
Celtic Bird HAHA
who there wouldn't be
what a gas to see mick and george take a verse together
who could not smile at that
anon ymas I
Bob was Beatles close friend
fuck Dylan
They should’ve done helter skelter since they had like 16 guitarists lol
wish
That was Paul's song though, that would've been awkward.
@@c4rlomng this was Pauls song too.
Paul warn’t thar.
Shout out to Ringo peace and love
Mick Jagger singing a Beatles song with George Harrison,...loved it!!!
Actually the Stones first #1 hit was a Beatle song "I wanna be your man" so it wasn't any wonder he would want to be there and commemorate the Fab 4.
@@bluecollarmusic We know
I am sure an elder Mick, Ringo, and Paul have a lot of fond memories from long ago!
@@bluecollarmusic It was a #12 hit. Their first #1 was Satisfaction.
When George did his little head shake like he couldn’t help it 😭 and everyone around him is like he did it! So cute I love George

@@leonedethebes what is your problem bro
This is what happens when a person eats alot of shit@@leonedethebes
Harrison & Jagger sharing the mike just made my day.
The world will never be the same since December 8 1980. Paul and Ringo are loved and John and George are terribly missed. Still the greatest band ever!
"...we all shine on!" -JWL
rdingo1 , i agree with you, when Beatles split in 1970 the dream is almost over, when John Lennon die in 1980 the dream is over .......
Rest in Peace James Paul McCartney! You missed the "love(d)" clue.
Paul will also be missed.
Rock n roll was never quite the same after December 8 1980.
@@rohansask9638 Cuando ya no este Aun esta y le amamos todos Paul Ringo
When George and Mick start singing together, I become very happy: two legends from two legendary bands!
Billy Joel, Ringo, George, Mick Jagger, and the Boss all together? AWESOME!!!
This is only missing John Lennon, Paul McCartney and Elvis!
Bruce RUINED it for me!!! VOMIT!!!!
yes what a thought
And chuck berry, jerry lee lewis and little Richard. The originals.
Elvis is gay
AgentMinor ReligionBrigade nah
It is what it is.... People having fun....Go out, take your latest flame, and dance the night away.
2:18 “AND BEFORE TOO LONG I......... uh”
Mick: “Fell in love with herrr”
Bruce: “oh yeah that’s it”
Bruce pauses... that's part of his style. Mick kinda stepped over him. :-D
@@conniestevens6725 he’s an expert at singing behind the beat and giving life to a song.
You know you're old when you see those people 34 years ago playing a song from 59 years ago and they feel fresh as if they're playing a brand new song, most modern rock n' roll as it's possible
Holy crap, that's a lot of rock history on one stage!
George Harrison, Ringo Starr, Bob Dylan, Jeff Beck, Mick Jagger, and Bruce Springsteen all on one stage. Awesome.
Springsteen???? PUKE!!!!!!!!!!!!
Dude, you forgot Billy Joel
@@cheryllakin3077ur correct, ruined it
The amount of singers on that stage who would’ve done better haha
No other drummer should ever play when Ringo is playing. It just isn't proper.
you should watch when he played boys with green day tre was super respetcful to him
Ringo shouldn't even play the drums!
Goose Wtf did you just say ? The Beatles wouldn’t be the Beatles if he hadn’t been there
If they didn't have another drummer at these type of things, it would all fall apart! Ringo is not a proper drummer.
Ringo is tipsy on that time
I love mick and George in this there so precious
0:54 love Billy guiding all the musicians through the bridge “…to the 4, to the 5, back down to the 4, and back to the 1” w/out missing a note
I don't understand
@@Dadaadad268 a chord progression
love billy joel. he's got some serious chops on the keys and is a stellar singer and has written some excellent songs. how can anybody say he's forgotten? if he's not your cup of tea, that's one thing.. but you can't deny that talent and musicianship.
BOB DYLAN THINKS "please kill me"
I wonder if he would've preferred doing something off of Rubber Soul.
Bob Dylan SUCKS!
that's Bob's 'happy' face :)
Fer Dominguez well he had a Nobel prize how many do you have
@@ricimercury9490 Isn't Bob the only one out of the crowd to achieve the Nobel prize?
Pure LOVE!!!
And watching George shake his head ... all Beatle-like ... was enough to give me chills!!!
George's head shake is the best part of that mess.
You know what's more badass than all these legends jamming together?
Paul Shaffer counting them in.
George Harrison, Ringo Starr, Mick Jagger, Billy Joel, Bob Dylan and Bruce Springsteen. EPIC LINE-UP
Leave out Springsteen, and THEN it would've been epic!!!
You really hate Bruce don't you
ALONG WITH THE BEACH BOYS
Thanks God for the videos, this is ROCK ROYALTY at its best, of course my John is not there but in spirit. And Mike singing a Beatles song, what an honor. Love them all.
Priceless, that smile on Ringo Starr's face when Mick Jagger takes the lead: 1:08
Jeff Beck's guitar solo = awesome.
Quite a bit of Rock Royalty up there to honor the lads from Liverpool.
I wish they did songs like Here Comes The Sun where George could've done lead vocals. Heck, it would've been cool to see George sing lead on 'I Saw Her Standing There'. I can't stand Springsteen's vocals.
I can't stand Springsteen, PERIOD!!!!!!
@@cheryllakin3077 HERE! HERE! Sacrilege for Springsteen to be on stage with such other GREAT talent!!!!
Springsteen is the most over rated rock icon ever.
Blue3Collar TRANCE, Couldn't agree with you more. And they call him the "Boss"? LOL John Lennon was the "BOSS"!
I love those performances where everybody plays at the same time, on the same stage, but completely different parts. It's such a mess, but it's so much fun.
What I could've wished just to be there at that time
Are you... a girl that likes decent music?
James Siviter lol yes.
Wooah, haven't seen one of you in years, it's all One Direction and stuff now.
James Siviter Lol ! Well it's rare then don't scare it cause it'll go away.
Good for you Annie!)))
The Beatle head shake, loved it!
billions of records on the same stage
1:12 Ringo is like 'Yeah Mick'
Billy Joel sings Paul's part perfectly and leads the band through the progressions. As usual, he gives a respectable cover to another artist, as only he can do so consistently. Jagger sings like Jagger, which is epic on a Beatles song. Bruce comes in screaming like hes constipated, off key and off beat.
"Beatles perform at Rock and Roll Hall of Fame inductions 1988"
That couldn't be further from the truth.
I'm imagining this is what it will be like when I meet the grim reaper, go down the tunnel towards the light and hear this familiar music. Can't wait!!
Is there any song that Billy Joel can't sing perfectly?
gracias poe este video pero muchas mas gracias a los que nos dieron esta hermosa y maravillosa musica,
The fact that there was a time in history when all these people were alive and well singing a Beatles song together on one stage is a time human beings will never be worthy of
Tema original escrito por McCartney
Mick Jagger singing just to show Mike Love that he was there that night. I'm picturing him telling Mike Love to go sit in the car then inviting Brian, Carl, Al, and Bruce to sing with everyone.
I was thinking that, wasn't that the same night that Mike made fun of all those people for not being there to jam? And then of course all the people he mentioned had a jam!
why have i never seen this before? i love this. and when george shook his head like they used to do omg amazing! and ritchie on drums!
I can't imagine Springsteen didn't feel like just a fan who somehow ended up in the middle of legends he grew up listening to with the rest of us.
The surviving Beatles got together before and after this ("All Those Years Ago," "Anthology"). Not here.
Yes, Yoko's eccentric style, for one, was an influence on the B-52s.
Springsteen had NO business up there!!! The talentless douche!!!!
my Grandma hated the Beatles with a passion when they first made the scene..... and rock n roll in general actually as most parents did then. who would have ever thought that rock n roll would be so legit now? and of course how could you possibly have a rock n roll hall of fame without the Beatles in it? lolz
I
@falcon6136 It's simply due to the Rock 'n' Roll Hall of Fame rules. You are only eligible after there has been 25 years since your first record was released. Love Me Do came out in October 1962, This induction was in January 1988, 25 years and 3 months after their first record.
Unbelievable that the photographer focused on Jagger when George shook his head in that characteristic Beatley moment, plus someone put his arm in front of the camera. Why focus on other stars when two Beatles are on stage singing their own song? Weird. Anyway, it's funny that George goes on automatic when he shakes his head at just the right moment. Hope he ha a bit of fun doing that again.
To the Beach Boys fans here, if you look hard you can see Brian Wilson cracking a genuine smile here.
Only George can do the Beatle head shake the right way❤️
RIP Jeff Beck. Kick ass solo.
What held my attention the most was that Mick Jagger could actually form complete sentences......
Mick Jagger is a really articulate guy, very cultured, fluent in French too
Complete sentences? Excuse me! Mick attended the London School of Economics. He's a bit sharper than you (especially considering your clueless comment. )
Advice: always try hold your attention long enough to capture the whole phrase.
Why would you imagine otherwise?
@@meghnasaha4349 drugs. look at ozzy
I love how Ringo starts casually then goes to work at 1:10 before Mick and Jeff do their parts 😊
i'm not a billy joel fan but the guy can sing, i respect his talent
@clancykobane9102, Billy Joel did a good impression of young Paul McCartney and I am a fan.
It's everybody's dream to be in Bruce's place, with George Harrison and Mick Jagger yelling "woohh!!!" into each ear.
JEFF BECKS SOLO
So young and beautiful. Paul Shaffer directing the music
.
Never thought the day i would see a beatle and a rolling stone sing togather....
Then you need to watch 'Dirty Mac' perform together...
Dreams do come true Mick Jagger is officially a Beatles John is smiling from heaven
Neal Schon in there too....cool :)
This is just yet another perfect example of why I love RUclips and the Internet! When this happened in 1988, I'd just turned 18 and was entirely too busy with me being me for this to have registered with on my radar. Yet here I am in 2014, seeing it for the very first time and I'm completely filled with so much love, joy and happiness! Next Tuesday, November 4th, I'll #turnoutforwhat #thepoweroftheinternet
Who gave you your screen name? Hunchback of Notre Dame or the Elephant Man?
"We all LOVED Paul.......
Probably the greatest of collect of rock talent in the history of the genre.
Springsteen can't "woooooo".
+John Martin nor does he know the words
+John Martin - Springsteen is at every single hall of fame ceremony because Jann Wenner wants to suck his dick. Biggest crime of all was Springsteen inducting Dylan. Dylan's contemporary inspiration is Neil Young, not Bruce Springsteen. Fuck Jann Wenner and the rest of those old Rolling Stone hacks that run the RRHOF.
+John Martin OK, so what? It's probably not in the right key for him - I find this video quite fun anyway, if for nothing else than seeing Mick and George sing together!
What voice??!! Springsteen is the most overrated musician on planet Earth!!!
I agree he is a fake
You can say that again. The Beatles and the Stones ROCK. LONG LIVE ROCK AND ROLL!!!!!!!!!
How can you leave out Led Zeppelin!!?????
The Beatles were, are, and will always be four -- John Lennon, Paul McCartney, George Harrison, and Ringo Starr.
This was fun, interesting to watch, and very entertaining. but it was, simply, not The Beatles.
Tom Hanks sings the beatles?
❤ALL THESE STARS❤
I just cried... I really just wept
What a great time to be alive
Geez, they all look so young back in 1988. And today I'm looking so freakin' old.
I remember listening to these Beatle songs on my little super-duper 8-transister portable radio as I walked to my 8th grade class way back in 1963. There in the NYC area it was always Cousin Brucie on AM radio station WAB[eatle]C! Those were the days, my friend.
Looks like all of them had a blast!!
Esos momento valen oro.... homenaje a unos grandes por unos grandes.... This music is forever
Arguably the best rock'n'roll song ever !
go Ringo go!!!!!
So much talent on that stage....
Damn, what a small stage for the quality of stars at the same time!!! I would give my left kidney to be in the front row that day!!!!
Jeff Beck just killing it as usual.
People can say what they want about the quality but these older performances are more natural organic jam sessions versus now where it’s probably rehearsed for a month.
It's proved: Mick Jagger is a beatlemaniac. 😂 by the way everybody is.
Nobody better than the Beatles
Jeff Beck saves the day
Great solo from Keith Richards!!
keith richards lol
Gosh...everyone looks so young lol.
@01:44 ….aaaah yes the master, …..Jeff Beck!!
Shameful........we could've had Paul, George, and Ringo on the stage.........3 of the Beatles performing.
I really think the Beatles just did everything they could to not ever really re-unite and perform again.
Puro genio musical en el escenario, talento en vivo absolutamente auténtico y real, hoy nos engañan con idolos de barro, que viva la buena música por siempre.....
Hoy no hay idolos son spectros
everyone forgets about billy joel...
Billy Joel, please!?!
A stage of greats!
Damn too many legends on one stage 🙏
They were hoping for a reunion with Paul I wish he would have shown up
@Cali Girl He was having lawsuit problems against Ringo and Yoko at the time.
Real Paul died in 1966.
@@suzancharlton
Wake up little Susie, wake up!! It's ok. You just did some bad shrooms.
@Cali Girl ugly voice of bruce springsteen? go take a nap
@Cali Girl At what time in the video does Bruce push George?
Can someone tell Springsteen to spit out the mouthful of marbles before singing?
I wanted bob Dylan to play sing so badly
This is the Most beautifull stage in the history of rock n roll hall of fame
Ok this is friggin so cool. One question tho...
Where the hell is Paul?
Please don’t tell me he missed the Beatles induction cause of a silly spat w his mates?
He didnt go due to the court stuff with apple records. Linda inclined that he went but paul refused to go.
A new ship must be created for Mick Jagger and Bruce Springsteen...
oh my god
Brick
BRUCE SUCKS!!!!!!!!!!!!!
A little self-congratulatory, but still neat to see Ringo and George play on this, and to see Springsteen and Jagger trying to out-cool each other.
Addendum:
No Paul?
He was too "busy?"
Other "commitments?"
And Billy Joel does the first vocal, Jeff Beck takes the guitar solo...
Yeah, that seems about right.
(Yes, at this moment in time, Paul Shaffer still had hair.)
Further Addendum:
"Clapton, Joel, McCartney, and Starr" is an act I would actually spend money on, actually wait in line to buy tickets for...
Jerry Weintraub:
Are you listening?
Bruce Springsteen is a pile of smelly dingle-berries and could NEVER out-cool Mick!!!!!!
2:18 Springsteen forgot the words ...busted
Woa Mick covered for BS there? Sick
