What a guitarist, the real sound of Motorhead
He definitely had the right sound and style for Motorhead.
His Fastway work was incredible. Say What You Will ,Easy Livin and We Become One are Perfection.
The Stranger was good too
He was crucial for the MOTÖRHEAD sound and style
the Fastway songs were great as well !
@@csnide6702 agree
@@csnide6702Fastway was awesome!
I never saw Motorhead after Eddie left. I always liked them but after seeing THE classic line up I sort of lost interest
absolutely!
Underrated guitarist
I got to meet and spend time with Motorhead several times between 80 & 82 in Belfast.I was 17 and Eddie was like a cool big brother to me.Brilliant band in brilliant times.Sadly missed.. even Philthy Phil "where's the shitter?" Taylor🙏🤘
Wow that's amazing! What awesome memories to cherish 🥰 Thanks for sharing and watching 😁👍
Fast Eddie was the INVENTOR of Motorhead's LOUD Rock N Roll. No Fast Eddie = No Motorhead.
Except there was.
@@TheoneGodfather Nah there was only Lemmy with employees who made subpar music.
@@paulosicne8498 Perhaps sub par compared to early Motörhead but a lot of it rocked. If you couldn’t enjoy it maybe you are just to sour. And they still kicked azz live.
@@TheoneGodfather No Fast Eddie = No Motorhead. You're the sour one being that my comment triggered you.
@@paulosicne8498 I just think your viewpoint is ridiculous but I don’t care enough to be “triggered “. The fact that they kept going under the name Motörhead for decades is all that really needs to be said.
Fast Eddie Clarke was a guitar hero & is a legend! RIP Eddie ♠️❤♠️
Fastways first album was killer
His playing was very musical and perfect for the trio of Motörhead.
I love 3 piece bands they just seem to kick ass 😊
Motorhead with fast, Eddie Clark rules 🇺🇸🤘🏻☘️⚡️⚡️
Legendary guitarist shame he left Motorhead.Fastway were good though.
I agree,but MOTÕRHEAD were better
Fast Eddie RIP Legend 🙏
Still love that 1st Fastway album.
its a superior product to anything Motorhead did in my opinion.
"Summer nigh's ending
We four become one
To tackle new endeavours
Our work has just begun..."
Always got goosebumps from that mystic song!
That album was very different from his Motörhead-Stuff, but i loved it!
😆😁😝
Say what you will🎶
I remember seeing them open for scorpions on the Black out tour..great show
Nothing against Motorhead but I always liked Eddie's material in the band Fastway much better!
Yikes.
So glad i met him.a true gent
I remember seeing Fastway in the 80's
Slc Ut 1984 🤘
I loved him so much! Such a cool guy, his guitar work with Motorhead was incredible! RIP Eddie! dx
Lemmy,Phil,Eddie, the best lineup in Motorhead RIP
Got to see the first American tour with Ozzy. At the time didn't realize how iconic that was. With Randy Rhodes and Motorhead at their peak.
I saw that tour. Amazing.
Another great one. 🤘😎😍
Thank you I appreciate you
I regret I never saw Fast Eddie when he was the guitarist of Motorhead. When I saw Motorhead the first time the guitarists were Phil and Wurzel.
RIP Fast Eddie...truly an icon of the Heavy Metal world! Big ups for this video n cheers from Southern California
Absolutely fantastic have a wonderful weekend ❤😊
You also my friend and thank you 😁👌💖🌻
I really appreciate learning about all these musicians I’ve not heard before. I think with a lot of groups the focus is usually on the lead vocalist and one or two guitarists, I’m enjoying learning about the other musicians as well. I’ve literally never heard Motörhead, but you can tell they had huge energy and influence. Thank you!🤗
I was impressed by the Fact a New Zealand Maori Bass Player joined him for a while.Charlie Tumahi from New Zealand worked in UK joined Be Bop Deluxe Axe Victim.album is good.
Charlie returned to New Zealand and Joined his Cousin in a Reggae band Herbs. Some anti Nuclear protest songs like French Letter..and Long Ago. Were popular songs in NZ.
Yes it's so interesting to learn about different bands you may not usually listen too 😁 I've learnt so much doing this it's crazy lol It's also a little hard as some of these bio's are so sad, especially when taken so young 😢 Thank you my friend for being here and your support 🥰
Fast Eddie !!!
Champion and Legend !!!
I was at that Nottingham Theatre Royal gig. My mates and I had bought package tickets (which included a London to Stafford coach) to see MH at Stafford Bingley Hall but on the day, the coaches either never showed or, taking one look at the wet and bedraggled mob waiting in a muddy field near Kings Cross, decided to keep going. As a result, we were given free tickets and carriage to the Nottingham gig. Happy days!
BTW, huge mistake not to release "No Sleep" as a double album back in the day. Robbed it of legendary status like Alive I and II, Gonzo and Strangers. Oh well.....
I saw Fastway in 83 with Maiden and Coney Hatch in Pittsburgh. Eddie, so f'd up, he botched "Say What You Will". Sad. Maiden killed it, opening with "Where Eagles Dare" and never looking back.
Fact check: Fastway's second record was "All Fired Up", "Waiting for the Roar" was their third. The final Fastway album, "Eat Dog Eat" was released in 2011, which wasn't mentioned in this video.
Saw Motörhead in Sweden 1981 ,Great gig 💪🤘
Rip Eddy never forgotten
I saw motor head when I was 14 Manchester Apollo, I'm deaf in my left lug, wonder why
Hey Eddie,i miss you sooo very very much🤘🎸🤘😪😪😪😪
Philthy, Fast and Lemmy, there was never a better setup.
Interesting to Hear Charlie Tumahi Bass player ex Be Bop Deluxe ( Axe Attack album is great) Charlie returned to NZ and joined Herbs.with his Cousin Dilworth Karaka .
5th october 1950 = 5 years to the day - older than me , at 21 in 1976 i became a roadie - beginning my musical real life .
He was best guitarist in motörhead
I used to see him walking his dog in Crane Park.
Rock on Fast Eddie.
Die beste Motörhead Besetzung
Lemmy, Animal Taylor, fast Eddi Clark
R.I.P. the best Trio ever
Yes, Lemmy, Eddie and Phil -the perfect team. I join this records up to now. The rest ? Ok, but "the real spirit" was gone...........
R.I.P Eddie, the sound of my youth!
Never knew he was responsible for them heavy riffs down up down up du du du du ! (Ace of s) I always thought that was Lemmy as he was 1st a guitar player as a bassist for hawkwind . Some famous names Billy Rath -j thunders ,and humble pies drummer syd barrett s at 1 point - Jerry shirley
Love his playing on Stone Dead Forever .
He was certainly busy after Motorhead.
Did I post that?
Nope. Not me. Phew!!! Thought i was losing me marbles for a moment there. Hi Michael, we've got the same name
FASTWAY was the best album of the year imo
Good thing he became a professional musician and didn't need to rely on being a TV repairman. That seems like a job that would not be a thing in more recent times. (I could be wrong and if so feel free to correct me).
Every town used to have a repair shop in those days, they were very useful places, they would repair just about anything, and cheaply too! Televisions, radios, washing machines, record players, drills, tape decks, lawn mowers, you name it,they repaired it.
He could have left at anytime but luckily didn’t! Five albums later he finally left. We are grateful! Best solos for me stone dead forever Live and Live to win also limb from limb,
I thoroughly enjoyed this video.
Maybe i should look up his Fastway records.
👍👍
Thank you so very much! I appreciate you being here 🥰
they agreed to a farewell show at the Marquee - so no contacts there then. Admit it for god's sake, Lemmy was a member of HAWKWIND
I saw on discogs an ambient album of fast Eddy Clark he recorded in the late 90's. I can't find it anymore . False recognition ?
First band I ever saw live was fastway, opening for Saxon and maiden
Fastway 🔥🔥🔥🔥
Hope they are all jamming together
THE Motorhead line up.End.
Agreed
Love ya Eddie!
Load of Hype
😊legend
When asked "why are you called Fast Eddie" , he replied :- My girlfriend asked me, before having sex, Will it hurt? and he replied, did it? 😂
👍👍
one of my favorate guitar players of all time, motorhead was ok but fastway was brilliant
🤟🤠💥🌟🌀🎉

Say what you will...
