In Amelia's defense, her mother and sister seem insanely judgemental. Just the fact that the mom seems to be feeding into the feud she has with her sister and talking shit about one daughter to the other one gives me crazy golden child/scapegoat vibes. I think younger people generally have 100s of tabs open because it’s stuff we intend to look at at some point (whether we do or not is another story lol), whereas Boomers don’t understand tabs at all and so never close any. My mum will have like 5 tabs of the exact same website open and when I tell her to close tabs she asks how. lol

I have never checked my kids phones, they didn't have one that was "theirs" until they were 17 and as far as i was concerned deserved their privacy. They also knew that if they messed up and the phone became "mine" as part of a punishment I would have no qualms looking. It's was a great motivator for them not to mess up.
