In case I wasn't clear on this point - we were only allowed to play up to Mission 11, but that was just Chapter 1. There will apparently be 5 chapters overall. Not to mention NG+ missions, and the arena.
I definitely appreciate that feature when a game has it. Sometimes, I want to replay part of a game, but I am unable to without replaying the whole game. Which means I just don't replay it. At least not often at all. But mission or chapter select? Awesome. Thankfully a lot of games still have the feature.
I didn't realize how much I wanted it until I was playing FF16 and wanted to flawless untouched finish a boss fight; they put the arcade mode neatly in your home base. Love it

The fact the fromsoft can pump out games like eldenring and armoured core in just a few years apart and them be some of the best games to ever be released is incredible hats of to all the hard workers in fromsoft
@@VoidCosmonautfair point, though I imagine that the success of Elden Ring will bring more people in. I never played Souls games due to the reputed difficulty but gave ER a shot. This is clearly a VERY different game from those, but I’ve ordered it on the back of the astonishing experience of ER and I’m sure I won’t be alone in that respect.
i think they have 2 teams. 1 who finnished sekiro, started This game development. Elder Ring team is bigger team from what i understand and they are working on Elden ring dlc from what i understand.
After playing the game let me tell you. The gameplay is boring as hell and that's all you need to know. And the mech genre and the bland environment is not helping it either.
@@AKGeorge2790Its more of a matter of how you play that makes it interesting. There should be more more types of enemies and less trash MT's/fodder of course, but I think the dystopian brutalist aesthetic sets the mood well for the story/situation you're in imo
Dude, your voice is actually so calming, it feels like I'm watching a nature documentary about corporate-controlled gundams duking it out, and I'm all for it. I am so hyped for the release of this game, and your intricate gameplay and insightful comments and criticisms only make me more excited for the future of AC, VI and beyond. Thanks for the amazing video, and stay awesome sauce!
"Your intricate gameplay and insightful comments" hahahahhahaa intricate gameplay 😂😂😂 wow sir how your playing a video game is so intricate wow very good. Haha you just wanted to use the word didn't even care what it means or how to actually use it.
And in classic Souls fashion _(well, AC too),_ they later die and you can do nothing to stop it. "Just remember, merc. We are the ones who will climb the Wall. Have fun watching from the sidelines." *>later, found dead in a forgotten spot of the next stage
"The way I overcame this on my first playthrough was by pivoting to dual assault rifles so that I could just mindlessly hold the fire buttons down and focus on dodging" Ah yes, the "R1 straight sword spam" of Armored Core.
@@procow2274best tactic in the og’s was setup dual stick controls then get the CMG-1000 (very fast and high cap machine gun) and just strafe targets. Most of the time atleast. Add a sword or Karaswa and you’re set
@@procow2274 My friend that introduced me to Armored Core 3 was very good at the game. I tried to find different ways to beat him, but it was difficult. He always went with a light two-legged setup with a machine gun and the Moonlight. I managed to get him from time to time with heat damage because he refused to use anything besides the lightest radiator, but the minute I learned how to shoot two machine guns at the same time with the square and circle button while rolling my thumb to tap/hold the X button to boost around, he couldn't stop me. The satisfaction of getting good at Armored Core games is so fulfilling. I can't wait to play this one.
@@DragoonWarrior790 the counter to lightweight biped setup is hover leg dual machinegun build, hover legs will almost always outmaneuver bipeds without boosters.

They weren't kidding when they said your hound was flying on borrowed wings if the 1st mission is you literally taking another Ravens rank and identity for your own. Loving the story premise so far.
@@ItsameOPTIMUSPRIME oh yeah absolutely, especially if have been using the same build for a few missions and switch to something with a drastically different playstyle. Trying to balance that decision making about whether to switch to something situational or try to play better/smarter with your current build is an element of the games that I really enjoy, maybe because it makes me feel like my decisions are impactful without ever necessarily being 'wrong'?
That was the neat thing about the human plus system. If you get overwhelmed and your run is crashing, you can just ride it all the way into the ground. You'll keep your gear and start a new run with a buff and foreknowledge of the missions you've already played.
For me took a good while to get grab of this game (coming as someone who palyed every DS,BB,Sekiro and ER hundreds of hours) i never thought it was unfair, or bullshit. I just tried to grasp what i was doing wrong and took few steps back and replayed some missions. Got new gear and went back on grinding mission 11 till i beat up that sucker. After that it clicked and not a single mission since has gave me such a hardship. Over all epic and great game
I've waited 15 years for this game. I'm very glad someone of your passion, articulation, and detail was able to showcase this game early. I enjoyed how you presented what you were allowed to play and your input on the experience.
The size and level of detail of everything is simply amazing. Soulsborne game always had great level design and this has clearly carried over in some way
I can see myself doing a “no reassembly during missions” and “no mission replay” run. Like, if you want a more classic experience, just do it yourself. I’m glad that these features exist for people that want them, I hope it brings in a ton of new players to fight in the arena. And here’s hoping for some debtor’s DLC to reintroduce some optional hardcore economic mechanics.
Looks like you even HAVE to. You might already know this but the requirements for an S rank is not just damage and money, but no checkpoint reloading and deaths. So one build, one continue.
man what really sells this is the sound design. everything is so weighty and brutal. i love how this is juxtaposed with the fast agile combat. brilliant stuff!
I loved that "welcome back, Raven". It would be cool if this story line, either by itself or by expansion, brings us to the founding of the Raven's Nest.
And its with taking this name that we will go down a path that breaks us free from the chains binding us to Walter and others like him and become true Ravens. Not beholden to any corporation and having the freedom do what we choose to do.
@@Blandy8521 some theories I read suggest you are actually nineball lol probably a huge stretch, but it would be interesting to see how Vaati would react, if has become his biggest nightmare in the AC games.
I get chills in mecha as soon as I start hearing enemy comms. The mix of dread and exultation that comes from being the sword that MUST cut shared humanity be damned is almost never found elsewhere and it's terribly compelling. Plus you know, giant robots and explosions are timelessly rad.
I always loved that in ace combat 4. You start as a nobody, and you sometimes hear people wondering who this new hotshot is. By like half way through, the enemy starts shitting its pants when you show up. Satisfying to hear them panic as you take the field.
Grew up playing Armored Core and the friend who introduced me to it is visiting after 15 years apart. Thanks for giving us something to reminisce on and anticipate together!
A reminder for newcomer Ravens: you DO NOT need to have played the previous games to understand AC6. Similar to Final Fantasy there are some elements that are shared / mentioned in several sequels, but overall the plot are independent between numbered titles.
I just picked it up today and haven't put it down. What a fantastic return to form for the AC series. Also, for someone who's been a fan of AC since Master of Arena and all of the Demon/Dark Souls games it just continues to strengthen my gratitude for From Software who has not and seemingly will not ever let their fans down no matter who they are.
I love how Fromsoft has really embraced Vaati, and obviously appreciates his dedication, and realizes how much he has helped to sell the brand. Most companies treat their fans like they're little more than lepers, that must be tolerated, but kept at bay. If Vaati was a Nintendo fan instead, he would probably have been shut down by now.
@@hereiam6149 checkpoints: a thing the souls series invented and definitely never appeared in a past armored core game, let alone other games not made by fromsoft
Great video. As an OG AC1 vet - Thanks for this! As a point of interest, the "Hard Lock-on" absolutely SCREAMS Virtua-on. Especially in PVP. It was incredibly influencial in mech gaming back in the 90s and had many arcade releases. I'd highly advise checking it out because it seems there is a boatload of influence from that game, even more so in dualing, that might give unique perspective in the future! I'd be shocked if the old FROM devs weren't V-On fans.
man, from a fellow OG AC 1 fan, it's so cool to see you in the comments. i played this when i was 7, but never got a ps2 so this will be my first game since 1997. Nuts.
Oh My! I have this deep childhood memory of playing Virtual-On in a movie theater near Toronto and never knew what it was called. Thanks for bringing light to this memory ! :)
V-On is what got me into mechs Belle gundam. My local skate rink had one in the large 90s-early 2000s when I was growing up and I would play like a maniac. Felt like a real pilot.
I'm just a random Japanese guy passing by, but your commentary, your voice, your gameplay skills, your design sense for all the different builds, it was just a blast to watch this video. Truly thanks for your phenomenol work.
Your footage is so much more enjoyable to watch compared to all of the AC first-timer content creators - you knowing how these are meant to be played makes all the difference.
Pretty cool knowing Vaati played the entire series (great video by the way) so I highly value his opinion. I liked Iron Pineapple's video too because I've never played AC games either, so he's viewing it how I will be when playing for the first time. He's one of my favorite content creators, like Vaati. Each has their focus and I'm grateful for them and all the work they put in for us.
Oh my god, I am sooooo hyped for this game. I've never played any Armored Core game before. But looking at this together with it being a FromSoftware game, it cannot be short of a masterpiece.
The last and first one I played was Armored Core 4. That game was a masterpiece in the 360 era. This game feels like a lucid dream of what Armored Core 4 was and I am so excited for it.
@@AkibaMomoro bruh.... I have fever dreams of what BFV should've been sometimes... I still dream that game will come. BF2142 had the right recipe but the wrong ingredients. One day BF will return to glory.
Wow this feels SO in-depth I feel like I shouldn’t even be watching it, I can’t believe you were allowed to show so much after MONTHS of them not showing us ANYTHING
It really feels like a great amalgamation of all the previous installments, the AC's look more like the early gens while keeping some aspects from the later ones and the gameplay looks like a overall QOL improvement. I'm just really happy AC is back, see you on the battlefield Ravens.
This game is going to be my first time playing Armored Core series, so far this game looks amazing and I can't wait to play it. I hope this game makes me love Armored Core series like how Bloodborne makes me love SoulsBorne series.
from what I have seen as an og Raven from armored core 1 in the 90s this is definitely going to be the pinnacle of the series to date. I really hope they add in some PvP arenas so we can fight each others AC's old school style.
Love your comment man, it's exaclty Bloodborne that got me into the Souls games. With Elden Ring & Demon Souls left to play I now have another good reason to buy the PS5
I feel like I could see FromSoft making the debt system a "hardcore" mode or NG+ mode in a later update to the game. it makes a lot of sense to drop the debt system (as you and the developer said) to enable players who are newer to the franchise, but I think providing that experience to that new playerbase as a reward for completing the game, taking the challenge to the true "old school" AC level would push the replayability to an unbelievable level and (if the game is as good as it seems like it is) create a new generation of raving AC fans
A thing that occured to me about the "earning more credits than past games" thing, is that almost seems to be a thing because of the mid mission part swaps. If they're _expecting_ you to be experimenting with your mech but are limiting it to the parts you own, it definitely seems like the no debt+ lots of money + the series tradition of total refunds all are pushing you to build up a large variety of parts so you can adapt to the situation at hand
About the only thing Ninebreaker did absolutely right was giving you essentially the entire playground of parts from the very start to tinker with. I am gonna end up hording parts like I'm trying to build a personal army, I just know it.
I could easily see parts introduced in the later Acts being a more expensive relatively. Act 1 could be balanced to let players experiment with the weapons and builds, and later ACT's start making credits a more precious resource.
instantly I see almost a perfect fluid movement that mixes big robotic mechs with dexterous jet-like movements. Always keeping speed, gliding and being intentional. I'm excited to watch.
I've never played an armoured core game, and I don't know why, but this has only cemented my want to get into the games. This looks phenomenal, I'm such a sucker for customisations but the game itself looks fantastic
do yourself a favor, emulate the ps2 games, crank up the native res, slap on a texture pack, go have fun now while you wait. i recommend to start with 3. Or Nexus if you want to use the right stick.
I agree with this, and if you want a departure from form but a bit of fun in the speed demon department, set up an AC For Answer emulator. It’s not everyone’s cup of tea, but if it is, it’s definitely fun to make a lightweight blader and pretend you’re some sort of mecha-dbz character.
The fact that they brought back 100% buyback prices is going to be a godsend for customization. I really think that removing it from the series from the second half of Gen-3 onward was one of the things that hurt the franchise the most.
The radio dialogue really gives me Ace Combat vibes and I love it, nothing better than eavesdroping on the other side to hear them freaking the fuck out. The briefings and replay loop of perfecting your equipment and gunning for S rank is also the same in the other AC. The music is also beautifully haunting
The radio chatter is the real unsung hero of Ace Combat. One of my oldest and most vivid gaming memories is playing Megalith for the first time in AC04. Hearing the enemy realize that not only is Mobius 1 here, but he’s got an entire handpicked squadron, and then fall into absolute PANIC? Peak power fantasy right there.
Funny you mention Ace Combat, Handler Walter also have the same vibe as AWACS Thunderhead and AWACS Bandog. At least he doesn't speak like those 2, yet.
Vatti I absolutely love the way you review and break things down in games and how they work and play it would be so cool if you reviewed a bunch of games I can't find reviews and previews that go into detail like you do keep up the great work!
Since so many new people have become familiar with Fromsoft through Elden Ring, i really hope Armored core attracts enough players to revitalize the mech genre. Or just games that really nail the mech fantasy like Titanfall 2, because we need way more of those.
I'm one of the people that played all the game fromsoft made of the souls franchise but never touched armored core so im curious about the missions. 11 seems like a small amount but if there are multiple ways to play it and a few bosses per level I'd say there is nothing to worry about. Besides that worry everything else looks great.
The AC movement is so freaking good... You can tell when a game is going to be special when just moving around in the world alone is worth the price of admission.
I was a huge fan of the debt system in the previous games. Managing repairs and ammo costs while trying to get the much needed bonuses from the mission was a great aspect of the mecha-mercenary experience.
@@Bahamut998 AC1 was the only AC game I played. Managing repair and ammo costs was very frustrating to say the least XD I used to replay easier missions a ton so I could more safely upgrade my mechs.
Right?! Not only does it suck to lose the mission, but then your like huh oh, those rockets were expensive. It really created a immersive merc experience. My cheap ass would use energy weapons. Lol
I liked the cost aspect but also foind it limiting. Id love for a way to play with or with out. Maybe on a hard difficulty this would be added back in. Or atleast have the option for it
For the problem you mentioned where it's impossible to both dodge and control the camera at the same time, the solution is to either get a controller with back paddles, or learn the Legendary Armored Core Grip
The only studio I’m comfortable preordering from. Worst case the game will be good enough on launch and will be improved with time(albeit slowly as elden ring is showing, most rushed release of theirs imo).
@@kummer45 nah they do. Eidolons and ropalolysts. But most of the play base literally is not intelligent enough to understand them otherwise it would not be so annoying to do them with randoms. It’s like destiny with raids/any mechanic that isn’t just shooting something blindly.
It's also a modern spin on the AC3 Silent Line intro, which was my first (and really only...) AC game I played, which gets extra nostalgia points from me.
Quad legs where my favorite legs in previous AC games. Being able to hover with them now is going to be so much fun. Can’t wait to rain down missiles from above on the enemies
I was exploring in AC6 and found some hidden text logs in the “Attach the Watchpoint” mission that most people won’t have seen. Found some others in other levels but haven’t recorded it all yet. Thought you’d be interested for the lore. One is underneath the level in the water in the first section (drop down the hole in the middle of the platforms to find it easier), another is on top of the second highest group of buildings between the first and section section.
As a person who’s never played an Armored Core title, I have very little grasp or reference for what it’s like to play or what I’m seeing on screen. That being said, I feel like it’s a game that will feel reaaaaally good when it clicks and you understand what’s going on. To who has played, please let me know if this is the case
It's lots of fun seeing how your build comes together to fit your playstyle and be successful, way more so than in Souls games but also way more complicated
you have like 2/3 weapons, you shoot them and avoid the enemies. literally that's all the gameplay loop is, how can you be not understanding what's on the screen in front of you??
@@Konarcoffee obviously i get that, but i mean everything on the hud, the ui of the enemies, the enemy types, all the mech combinations w/ their strengths/weaknesses.

I love that despite all the changes and improvements, Armored Cores... core is still in tact. Everything just feels like the natural evolution of the franchise and I love it!
You spend so much time deeply understanding these universes which brings your videos to a level that is second to none. Always appreciate your hard work in showcasing some of my favorite games of all time.
I've been playing this game since launch; I'm almost through my second playthrough already. The first three days, I gamed 14 hours then slept 14 hours. I cannot remember what I did the day before this game came out, All I remember is a blur of AC6 combat and a few dreams over the last week. I went from struggling for 6 hours on balteus to beating the Ibis Series first try on my second run. It's pretty good i'd say.
That tank gameplay looks so damn sick, I love the methodical pounding of the heavy guns followed by 'oh shit something that heavy should not be moving that fas-WHAM'
My biggest relief is that it's not Armored Souls. Not against Soulsborne elements, far from - All I want is those elements to be additions, not replacements - for the series to retain it's identity and it looks like for the most part that's what this this. I am soo happy about that. Thank you for sharing this!
"Additions, not replacements". Now _there's_ a really neat way to put it. Indeed, there are indeed Souls elements in AC6, but they're not replacing anything from the old formula. They are *adding.* Complementing. Mixing in without taking away the identity of Armored Core.
I miss how incredible a mech game can feel. Titanfall 2 is to this day one of the most fun games I've ever played, and this is giving me the same vibes I felt when watching the trailer

I've never played an armoured core game and I'm 1 minute into this video and it's reminding me of the mecha sections in Nier Automata which I think were close to being great but didn't quite reach the mark due to being too underutilized to be fleshed out, this looks like what I wanted those sections of Automata to be... When energy weapons didn't cost ammo they were an easier way to grab the S rank as the reward money factored in a lot. Therefore energy weapons were tied to your energy reserve to make you less mobile and more likely to get hit. I think the removal of the debt system has a knock on effect of no longer needing to tie the energy weapons to the energy reserve; which opens the door to better and more radical parts. That said, the debt system was a really immersive part of the mercenary experience and I think From could bring it back later as a hardcore mode or something.
To be fair though, ever since Nexus I've felt that debt hasn't really been a thing to worry about in AC if you're a half-decent pilot. Nexus in particular was very generous with monetary rewards, and AC4 allowed you to replay missions for free to get the ideal amount of reward money. Debt to me kind of feels like Durability in Souls: sounds good on paper, but just got phased out as it became more irrelevant with successive games.
Watched 15+ reviews of this today and last night... This is hands down a few tiers above everything else, to the point I have preordered as a result. Sexy sounding Mic also good fella. Take the slightest possible cut from treble and mid-high (more treble, less gain also) and you got yourself some serious Sean Connery whiskey drinking voice vibes going on... Keep it up man. I'll be keeping my eye out 🤜🏼🤛🏾

We probably love mech's more than you do. I remember getting a PS2 on launch week and having to make the choice between AC2 and Tekken Tag. Tekken, obviously.
Elden Ring is precisely why I don't have much interest in AC6. From's best days are behind them. At least the old Prepare To Crys are still there to be watched.
No it fucking isn't, it means the game will be over shadowed by how good it is by the fact that it's made by From Software, people are retarded and this will push the sales until From Software step down and pass the series over like they have done in the past 🤦🏻♂️.
@@ianwilliams2632From Software! But they made the original Trilogy of the series so they're just going back to their roots but their best days can't behind them when Elden Boring is their Magnum Opus so not overly sure what you're on about though it's cool to see you aren't a sheep at least.
Another thing I like is that the different AC content creators offer a variety of insight according to their experience with the franchise: - Fightin Cowboy, Alanah Pearce and Mrhappy1227 (among others) are the experienced veterans providing the most technical details and making the fair comparissons between AC6 and other title from the series and the studio. - Vaati Vidya and Writing on Games, while not old fans, have played all the games recently so their analysis is focused on the narrative themes of AC6 and providing several tips for those who are used to FromSoftware titles and / or other interactive experiences that involve mechs. - Iron Pinneaple others who have prefered going into AC6 blindly without any previous experience center their content on the controls, what does it feel to pilot a core for the first time and a guide for newcomers so that they do not get overwhelmed by the customization options. All of them have conicided on one thing: AC6 is probably one of the most ambicious AAA mech game of the last 10 years.
This game looks like everything I've dreamed from a mecha game in terms of graphics, art design, and game mechanics, and gameplay! Also, the "damage indicator" on your HUD reminds me of the Pizza Hut logo - can't stop seeing it.
The last time I played an Armored Core game was 3 back on PS2, but I sunk the most time into Master of Arena. The tension you feel as you have to constantly be on the move, aware of your surroundings, darting around and engaging enemies, while managing your limited resources. The HUD, even back then, just made me feel like I was actually in the Raven, constantly checking the radar, watching my energy gauge, and making sure my weapon cool downs were sorted out. Nothing came close to this game for me, and it's what started my love for the mecha genre.
In case I wasn't clear on this point - we were only allowed to play up to Mission 11, but that was just Chapter 1. There will apparently be 5 chapters overall. Not to mention NG+ missions, and the arena.

An old-school debt system could somehow resemble returning Kuro's Charm in Sekiro.
"earning more credits"
Silent line portable players: YOU CAN EARN CREDITS???
Would be cool as a special challenge mode or something
I could easily see parts introduced in the later Acts being a more expensive relatively. Act 1 could be balanced to let players experiment with the weapons and builds, and later ACT's start making credits a more precious resource.
The opening of this video was so perfect. Honestly the best preview of a game I've seen,
instantly I see almost a perfect fluid movement that mixes big robotic mechs with dexterous jet-like movements.
Play AC2 and AC3 for the most customization, if you want to play the old games.

Indeed, there are indeed Souls elements in AC6, but they're not replacing anything from the old formula. They are *adding.* Complementing. Mixing in without taking away the identity of Armored Core.
How EXACTLY could this be any MORE armoredsouls? AC is dead. Fitting that the player steals the Raven callsign from a corpse.
I’ve been craving a mech game like this for a while now
Yeah this looks so cool, this is like what zone of the enders wanted to do but lacked the hardware... Even though I love those games this looks insane
Been waiting since mech assault lol
ok
I miss how incredible a mech game can feel. Titanfall 2 is to this day one of the most fun games I've ever played, and this is giving me the same vibes I felt when watching the trailer
I await the day we get a good Gundam game.
The original Armored Core was literally one of the first games I ever played, and seeing this and the recent trailers has me so hyped to return to the series that pretty much introduced me to gaming.
This just look awesome....vr this game would get life long fan
As a veteran who has played Armored Core since Master of Arena, you have no idea how happy I was to learn of them making a new Armored Core game.
First game announcement that has really gotten me excited in years, almost 10 years of waiting almost over.
@daltonakers362-As someone interested in getting into armored core with AC6 what does the ammunition economy look like from what you say in this video?
As a vet who has played since AC1, i've got a pretty damn good idea.
As someone who didn't ask, I don't care
Played AC 1 on PS1.. i know the feeling
This series was my childhood, it's amazing to see how far Fromsoftware has come! The Ravens have return!!!
I haven't been this excited for a game in years. Nothing is cooler than giant robots.
I guess you must have played titanfall 2 then. Amazing game, both the single and multiplayer. My favourite multiplayer shooter actually
@@tomjohn3387 The singleplayer is like literally a masterpiece, that's the only mech game I've played. Played armored core: For Answer but just a little bit. Have pre-ordered fires of rubicon since april 28th can't wait for this game I hope it has some insane story like titanfall 2
Funny cause everyone I have spoken to thinks giant robots/mech stuff is the lamest thing possible.
Chicks dig giant robots.
What about gianter robots?
When Vaati hasn't posted in 3 weeks and you know he's cooking up something good
The level of detail on the mechs and environments is mind blowing. And they absolutely nailed all the subtle mechanical movements of the mech’s parts.
this game will be insane if community has any modding capabilities to create custom maps/scenarios even voice them... infinite awesome replayability
You see what they have done with elden ring? , I cant wait to see what magic is gonna be made with ac6
@@thesaje4453people had been doing god like mods with Sekiro and even all the way back from Dark Souls. The modding community is incredible
@@thesaje4453 indeed i forgot for a moment that we are dealing with a good developer here that cares about the end customer
@@MaidenlessScrub sekiro was such a blast, only fromsoft game i played, but i think armored core will be next... all i need is free time and support for PC :D
@@krellindon't you have to be careful with modding their games cause they can get you banned from the whole online aspect?
I played AC so much as a kid but I only really got into it a few weeks before 6 was revealed and honestly it's looking like a dream come true
AC1 to me was the best. I used to make those 8 bit emblems so intricate.
Thank to this video and your wonderful explanation/showcase. I went and pre-ordered a game for the first time in 10 years . The amount of love this video shows from the devs and you makes me so hyped to play.
same i pre ordered last week and dont remember the last time i did that, i compare my hype to halo 3 for some reason thats how slow the days are passing lol
Watching you play through all the past armored core games and this video, you’ve sold me on the series! I can’t wait for this to release :D
When the Allmind AI said "Welcome Back, Raven" I have to admit I cried a little.
Yep, right in the creamy center of the feels.
Fr. Had goosebumps for like half an hour after hearing that.... and now they are back just thinking about it
For all newcomer Ravens, you DO NOT need to have played the previous AC games to get into this one, very similar on how Final Fantasy dev teams create its titles.
@@fernandozavaletabustos205 Indeed. This is a reboot of the story, so lore isn't really important. But for seasoned players and fans of the series, there are references sprinkled about for us. Such as the name "Raven" which is what AC pilots were called at one point. They did a good job imo on catering to both old and new fans
Man, between Armored Core 6 and Baldur's Gate 3, August is going to be an amazing month for gaming.
But how many genital options are there for your mech pilot
@@jackvancekirkland😅😂😂
And the transition from battletech to robotech is complete!
That sounds cool, is this referring to that 80s anime robotech?
@@StephenOwen Yup. Animes, board games and TRPGs. Battletech's still going, Robotech, not as much.
Robotech was all about the highly mobile angelic mecha with huge dodge rolls. Battletech was more 'clunky big iron'.
Good times... what's the emoji for nostalgia? 😀🤔😄😁
I've never played an armoured core game and I'm 1 minute into this video and it's reminding me of the mecha sections in Nier Automata which I think were close to being great but didn't quite reach the mark due to being too underutilized to be fleshed out, this looks like what I wanted those sections of Automata to be... But alas I am poor and it will be a while until I can play this game.
whats ur steam name?
@thisperson345 I feel that! Game looks incredible, I’ve got a small budget for gaming so going to have to wait and decide between remnant 2 and this for the next few months. Gonna be a rough choice. Hope the situation gets better!
Mee too, gotta wait for sale to buy this. Can't afford the full price right now.
After looking at the menu aesthetics, you're right it feels Automata much like AC4 felt like Replicant.
Exactly the same feeling. Zone of the Enders X NieR Automata vibes. ZOE, especially 2nd Runner, because of the mechs and Automata because how big the scale is for the boss fights, like something very similar to Engels or Grun, (the one big-fish Goliath mech that you guys fight in the Flooded City with 2B/9S mechs).
this is really the best edited, most informative, skillfully played armored core preview video. Saw a pretty hilarious comment on Bilibili that perfectly summed up my feeling: “I saw the ign preview, I canceled my preorder. Then I saw vaati’s video, I immediately preorder again lol”
Pre-ordering is incredibly lame. Please cancel you preorders for Armored Core because it's a brain-dead practice.
Stop pre ordering you muppet.
@publicacct5626 only brain dead when it pertains to companies and developers who've betrayed the trust of their customers/investors.
FromSoftware is not one of those, and has not only earned but even maintained their pre-order value.
@@evankurasu3190I'll actually agree with this. Not only will you get a functional Day 1 game. It'll be fully playable. Sad that it's gotten to this point. But From hasn't dropped the ball yet.
because Vati whom has staked his whole identity and meal ticket on From Soft related content, has no reason to claim another of their titles is incredible pre launch.....
Hearing 4answers menu theme while you were explaining similarities we might see between these games was nostalgic and brought back fond memories.
Gonna be hard to beat 4a soundtrack, but god damn I hope they give me a run for my money.
Man I can not wait to jump back into armored core , I missed this series alot. I must have played for answers ac 4 alot more than I'd like to admit. I miss being merc in armored core 5.
You're like the bob ross of fromsoft; calming, methodical, brilliant. Beautiful gameplay, I can't wait to play this, appreciate the sneak peek! :)
OMFG you're 100% correct. He's the new bob ross!
Bomb Ross 😂
What a great comparison! Bob Ross 😂 his voice has a softness that balances perfectly with the ethereal nature of fromsoft games, conveys wonder
'We dont call these lucky shots mistakes, we call them happy little accidents'
The combat looks so fluid, I put in vacation days just to play this nonstop
I've never done that before but I have so many vacation hours that I will be doing that as well. I even pre-ordered it (which I almost never do) so I could get that mech model.
Honestly good idea, I might do that myself
@@CreativityNull I'm trying to get the collectors edition but no luck so far, all sold out.
@@darkace0able I put myself on their email list before you could order it and bought it the day it became available for pre-order a month or two ago. Sorry to hear it's sold out now.
@@CreativityNull It's alright if nothing else I'm glad you were able to get one!Worse case scenario may get it from a 3rd party.
Go melee for S ranks I guess
Watched 15+ reviews of this today and last night... This is hands down a few tiers above everything else, to the point I have preordered as a result.
Sexy sounding Mic also good fella. Take the slightest possible cut from treble and mid-high (more treble, less gain also) and you got yourself some serious Sean Connery whiskey drinking voice vibes going on...
Keep it up man.
I'll be keeping my eye out 🤜🏼🤛🏾
You have the best understanding of Armored Core and the best gameplay skills of any media in Japan!
I am glad to see that there are such Armored Core fans overseas!
We probably love mech's more than you do.
I remember getting a PS2 on launch week and having to make the choice between AC2 and Tekken Tag.
Tekken, obviously.
Amazing that Elden Ring is about to be the catalyst for so many people to join my love of Armored Core
Another thing I like is that the different AC content creators offer a variety of insight according to their experience with the franchise:
- Fightin Cowboy, Alanah Pearce and Mrhappy1227 (among others) are the experienced veterans providing the most technical details and making the fair comparissons between AC6 and other title from the series and the studio.
@@ianwilliams2632 souls fans the millisecond fromsoft does anything other than souls games:
the puzzle of replaying old missions and trying out different builds and clear strategies is really cool
Your play is fantastic!! Thanks to you, my eyes are happy.
This game looks like everything I've dreamed from a mecha game in terms of graphics, art design, and game mechanics, and gameplay! Also, the "damage indicator" on your HUD reminds me of the Pizza Hut logo - can't stop seeing it.
Pizza Hut... McDonalds... That's it, I'm making a Colonel Sanders mech. Eleven herbs and spices... OF DEATH! >:B
Curse you. Now I can't unsee it
Okay now that makes me hungry
@@AngelicDirt Perfect! I'll grab a Mountain Dew Baja Blast. Will go great with the Dorito triangles from Battlefield.
I like how in the very first introduction your previous experience and mastery shows off without even trying
This game's going to be so badass.
