@@Hillcountryflyworks you did a great job capturing the tranquility of it all. Nearly looks fake in there! I appreciate the kind words my man. We will have to go for a fish sometime!
Thanks man! It takes some practice to figure out line management but my kayak is big enough to stand no problem. It was pretty frustrating at first but just hang in there.
@@Hillcountryflyworks based on the color of the water, I gotta think I know which river this is. Asking because, that’s my home water and your thoughts on the 5 vs 6 wt are super helpful. Love the Chanel, thanks for sharing!
Yah there’s actually a pretty big difference in mine because my 5w is fiberglass and incredibly slow, my 6w is a pretty fast action axiom 2 so I don’t have problems with bigger flies on the 6. Part of growing in this sport is making the right gear choices and I’m learning that lesson lol.
What a setting to fish! The hill country is one of a kind
Couldn’t agree more. I love this place and want to show how special it is. Love your videos by the way! Nice work.

I got more frogs ready for you with some new tweeks, and bigger size
Awesome video. The water from that river was super clear.
How hard is to cast from a kayak?

What brand of Kayaks are y’all both using? Looking for a solid stand up kayak for rivers, small lakes.
I’m on a Jackson liska, and Nate runs an imagine angler but told me they don’t make them anymore.
I love my Jackson, it’s a very comfortable and standing up is no problem at all.
What camera do you use? Looks sick!
Thanks, I use a go pro, mavic mini 2, and Sony a 6400
Y’all using any sinking or sink tip line when throwing against those banks?
Not on this river but I do throw sinking line
