- We take a camping trip to Arkansas and spend the day kayaking down the Ouachita River. I am fly fishing for smallmouth bass in the heart of the Ouachita Mountains! The Scenery and Fishing is amazing and there is nothing like floating down this Beautiful Arkansas mountain stream fighting a smallmouth bass on a fly rod!

Me and my buddies hit this river up every year because the fishing is fantastic. In fact we were there just a few days after this trip.
We do 28 miles from Little hope Rd to Two Spirits Canoe. roughly 2.5 days worth
Very Cool! I'm ready to get back over there!
Nice video man! The same weekend I was on a smallmouth tour 30min from home near Cherry Hill. Beautiful river!

Thanks! I will let you know! Hopefully make it up your way soon!
Love it! I know you have probably already answered this, Nick. But, what do you use to film?
Thanks Logan! I use a go pro(8and 10), my phone, and a drone(magic mini).
@@OutdoorHighlife nice! Thank you. Thinking about grabbing the hero8 here soon.
Would a 4wt rod work for small mouth bass. I’m looking for a rod for river fishing. I’m just getting started.
Yea, a 4wt would work. A lot of it depends on what size fly your trying to chunk. For your bigger streamer flies, anyhere from a 5wt to 8wt would be ideal, and alot of it depends on rod manufacturer too, some rods are stiffer than others. For the size of flies I like to throw, anywhere from a 6-8wt is usually what I like to use. But you could have a blast catching them on a 4wt!
Right there by Camp Ozark I hooked a smallie that had to be 3+ lbs when it jumped out of the water. She got off though :(
Nice! I bet that was fun! That camp is pretty cool!
What weight rod are you using?

Thank You! Appreciate it!
Busy river and fly fishing, two things I could do without eternally
Next time you see someone enjoying something you don't, just say "well I'm glad they're having fun" to yourself and move on with your life instead of informing everyone that you don't like it.
@@D_A_D_ no I think I continually talk about how asinine fly fishing is and how I'm not a big fan of snags for no reason, combined with a bunch of urbanite yuppies
and we appreciate you champ
This comment just tells me you’re a bad fisherman.
