This channel is a collection of fly fishing experiences mostly from the Texas hill country exploring the wide variety of fish species and wildlife.
Going out with Andy of @Ranch_Style_Beans on the lake in the customized John boat skiff.
Finally got to check out the custom John boat skiff that broke the internet. Andy showed me all the unique features and custom additions to make this boat a very comfortable vessel to flatfish from. It's still the heat of summer but the bass were eager to come up and grab a topwater fly. Thanks again to Andy for taking me out and getting me on some great fish.

What kind of sandals have you liked best? I fish the same waters and im looking to get a lighter pair similar to yours that dont have a big protected toe for when im just going out for easy days.
@@HMuny55 we are wearing bedrocks here in this video but tivas and chacos work well depending on your preferred strap configuration.

I’m doing my best not to “spot burn.”
Lots of good spots along brushy creek. Especially if you’re willing to hike a bit. It sucks the water treatment facilities are along the creek and have affected the water quality.
This spot used to be fun before everyone and there brother posted RUclips videos and blew it up.
No kidding, I can’t stand it when people make videos!

No sir the river is public! But the put in and take outs are very tricky. We have nates wife drop us off because parking is tough.

Tips on fishing for carp? In 17 years of fly fishing I've only ever caught one. I've pretty much given up on them because I'm clearly doing something wrong.
Presentation is everything. You need to land that fly as soft as possible. Go to a place where they are plentiful and train your eyes to look for them. Be as stealthy as you can. It took me forever to figure em out, and now they come a lot easier. Just keep at it, when you spook a bunch of em you start to figure out what not to do. Also, don’t get to down on yourself, you can do everything right and sometimes they still won’t eat.
