    I am so glad that you mentioned using very little equipment. There is no substitute for getting a massage with the hands. A massage therapist told me that once. I believe it to be true. People can buy the machines, but the experience you give with your massage cannot be duplicated. It is your personal touch. 💟

    i completely agree about the machines. Nothing replaces human hands. I was watching a RUclipsr who came to you and then went to other spas for facials. They had all the gimmicky equipment but no one had your touch OR your command of skin care.

    I really like your video. Well done and lovely. Although as an aging person, I am personally not fond of anyone pulling on my skin with anything other than a light touch. With a younger person it is not quite as important because they retain good skin turgor. But with those aged 50 or so or older the skin turgor is not as resilient and all that pulling I fear would cause unnecessary stretching of one's skin causing more laxity. I'm all for underlying muscle strength and I understand regarding lymphatic drainage, as you would want to direct your movements along the sides of the face and down the lateral neck and into the clavicles. For best appearances, muscle strength training would be good for the lower 1/3 of the face vs. the upper 1/3. No one wants strong muscles between the brows or in the forehead. Your video does look relaxing and you are very knowledgeable. Thank you.

    Fantastic video as usual, thank you Nerida! I'd love to see a more detailed look on how you encourage clients to massage their own skin. Neck work like your were doing looks fantastic but seems very awkward to do on one's own features... Any tips?

    Hi Nerida, beautiful work. 💓 do you think that someone who struggles with acne, should they do facial movements like that ? Is it moving bacteria within the pores to other pores and causing more acne ?

    • @NeridaJoySkincare
      @NeridaJoySkincare  4 года назад +5

      No, it's not moving bacteria. I massage skin types differently. This model does not have acne, so best you follow my acne videos for massage moves:))

    Thank you so much for your videos, Nerida! I'm in my second week of esthetician school and loving it. I was wondering, do you ever use steam while massaging the skin? If so, is there a type or brand of steamer you recommend? (And, what do you think of ozone in the steam?) Thank you!

    • @NeridaJoySkincare
      @NeridaJoySkincare  5 лет назад +4

      Yes, I use steam often when I am massaging..... just not in the videos because of the noise:) You can use steam with or without cream on the skin. Ozone, you use only on a clean skin (no creams) for a short time for killing bacteria..I.E after extractions

I'm losing electricity around my jaw & mouth area & it's scares me. I don't want botox or fillers either. Do you have a video on this massage? Help please!! Thank you! You look amazing!

    Love your video’s!! What do you think of face cupping. Is that a correct way to massage the face as well?

    • @NeridaJoySkincare
      @NeridaJoySkincare  6 лет назад +2

      I like to be able to feel the facial muscles with my fingers to know the pressure needed..... and in some cases certain moves could be a form of cupping. It doesn't seem as precise as i would like my moves to be personally.... but, I am sure some could master it for results.... I would be concerned about blood vessel breakage etc

    Thank you for another great video. What do you think about the high frequency? Is it effective?

    • @NeridaJoySkincare
      @NeridaJoySkincare  6 лет назад +2

      Yes, high frequency has been around for a very very long time and is effective. I still use it occasionally in my acne treatments, but if you use it in a treatment with AHA's, such as Glycolic acids, (or other acids) you can get a chemical burn on the skin so be careful. Thank you for following :)

      Adriana N Just not right away after the procedure. You have to give the skin at least a week or two to absorb the injections.

    • @NeridaJoySkincare

      Yes, but your massage moves are a little different...... and not so much directly on the breakouts. What is important is the serum and treatment products you chose to perform your massage:))

    Isn’t facial massage bad for acne? Since it stimulates the glands?

    • @NeridaJoySkincare
      @NeridaJoySkincare  6 лет назад +1

      Massage is not bad for acne, it doesn't stimulate glands like a topical alcohol does. But my massage is lighter in pressure, shorter in length and with healing gel and maybe a flavonoid vitamin for added healing. If a skin as pustules, my massage is very very short (maybe only a couple of minutes) being careful to not break open pustules spreading infection:))
