Nerida Joy, Thank you for sharing! So refreshing to see that other Estheticians that have the same holistic approach to facials, utilizing more hands on rather than too much equipment. In my practice, I also, work mainly with my hands and have a minimum of tools (mag-lamp/steamer, hot cabi, & sonic spatula) everything else is customizable products accompanied by disposables (sponges, spatulas, cotton/gauze items, dispensing cups..) During the course of my career, I realized that working with too much elaborate equipment requires a lot of maintenance, and can compromise precious treatment time by having to adjust dials, changing parts, levels, frequencies, etc.., they can be noisy and fussy. The results aren’t always any better for many skin types.
I strongly disagree. I think lasers, ultrasonics, diamondermabrasion, light therapy, mesotherapy etc are very effective and we can have real progress and results. I always feel like a basic facial with just cleansing, mask, little massage and end products is something anyone could just do at home.. That's just how I feel, I know customers love it as much as with equipment. I like all the latest tech😅👍

I've been wanting a lymphatic drainage massage, but I didn't know it also helped with toning the skin 😃. Love your videos, I'm currently trying to figure my skin out almost going to turn 30 years old and I'm trying to treat the wrinkles I have 😖
I finally understood what's with the strange lines on the sides of the nose, the "bunny lines" as you called them. I have a colleague who has those and they look so weird when she laughs... As you say, everything in moderation, I don't think you need all that botox, fillers and surgery when you're 26 yo (what will you do at 50 then).
Hi Nerida! I love the knowledge you impart during your videos, and that you talk about other cosmetic tools and procedures that are out there. I had a question about using serums before exfoliating during a facial on someone who has dry/sensitive skin. I’ve never heard of this trick before, and I was wondering, would the product be wasted in doing this because the exfoliator displaces it, or are you using so little just to mute the power of the exfoliant? And, can you do this with other hydrating/soothing serums? Thanks!
Yes, everything I do has a purpose. I often mix my exfoliant with the also healing gel as you have seen. If i layer a serum underneath, its because i want the exfoliant to be very light....less irritating. I don't usually do that, but if someones skin needs that so i don't set up a sensitive slate then thats what i am going to do. In this case, no it is not a waste.....there is a reason:)) Great question though xo.
Such a great video, thank you! Her skin looked so much better in the end! I am confused about one thing (trying to attempt this procedure at home on myself somehow😌) : when you use the treatment serums before the exfoliator and then wash it off a couple of minutes later, is that helpful for the skin, or is it too fast for the serums to "give" anything??? Again, thank you!
Sometimes i just don't want the exfoliator to be too strong. On a more acetic skin, i will mix the exfoliator with the aloe healing gel. On a dryer skin or dryer/mature skin, I will add what i feel is best for the exfoliation .... everything i put on the skin, is for a reason. Even if it is staying on for 1 minute.... its what is needed:))

Ok Nerida so is daily massage ok? For instance I give myself a good massage when I oil cleanse as well as when I apply products I work & rub them in but everywhere i turn they say pat products in and dont tug at the skin.. I love massage though but im not trying to “age” myself
Massage is the best. Some products may be designed to "pat" into the skin. Sometimes you have to pat to get it into a wrinkle...as I have with retinol or an aha in some videos. Massage is better for lymphatic movement and muscle tone.
I massaged my 11 lines out.....you can feel where the muscle is indented and I massaged across it and as you said was conscious of using that muscle....
What is the retinol percentage that you use in on the client's skin? And if it is a first time user what do you dry their skin out the next day because retinol is known to do that.
Hello Nerida! 1 year esthetician here. I find that extracting blackheads on the nose are incredibly difficult. Most of the time I feel like I can’t get them out and it affects my confidence. I’ve tried with my fingers, and have tried with the extractor tool, but that is usually painful for clients. Any tips that you can share? Or any websites or classes that I might be able to attend to help with my technique? Thank you so much! I love your videos.
Hey Nerida new esty here! I was just wondering we were taught to massage after we do the exfoliation portion of the facial. I have seen all of your videos and I now understand the importance of massage; but wont that shorten the length of my hour long facials what order shall I go in so it still has its fluidity?
I do not understand what you are saying. I also do my massage after exfoliation and your massage length is decided upon analyzing the skin. If you are doing a 60 minute treatment and your client has a little extraction needed too, you need to figure out how long your massage will be so you can get everything done that you need to do in that 60 minute treatment for your client:))
For instance they taught us sort of like a routine cleanse analyze exfoliate or enzyme with steam then extract then massage then mask and finish off with serum moisturizer etc.. I notice you massage throughout which I love I think I’m going to start doing that instead of just massaging in a portion of my facial
So you extract before your massage. Its how some teach here in the US yes. Steam with exfoliation activates the enzyme. You have to be careful on a sensitive skin. You have to decide what makes sense to you in your treatment:))@@love4bate
Hi Nerida, thanks for sharing your knowledge - I have learned so much from your videos and have been following all your model's skincare journeys! I'm interested in getting products from Daniella's kit as I suffer from hormonal acne and noticed the aha cream was in a jar package. I've heard mixed things about this type of packaging - what are your thoughts?
The products work. There are different materials required for different ingredients. Some require glass and some cannot have certain pumps as they corrode. It depends on the ingredients used and their delivery systems. I will talk about this at my next shoot to explain more...good question, thank you:))
@@NeridaJoySkincare thank you, I have been using the q flavanoid on my 11 lines for three weeks now and they are deminishing , thanks for the info you provide us
Hi Nerida, thank you so much for this video. You spoke about not using too many pieces of electrical equipment in your facials, would you mind explaining your thoughts on LED light therapy in skin treatments and if you see it as very beneficial? Thank you 😊
I have spoken about this with Jordan Samuel Skin on his two videos we did together. LED lights have a purpose in our industry, but in the time you have for a facial, ask yourself is it the best and most effective treatment for your client that day? Or could you be doing something else that would be more effective?
@@NeridaJoySkincare Thank you Nerida for your reply. I agree, I'd prefer to do an extended deep tissue or lymphatic drainage massage, or perhaps an AHA peel and double mask in the 20 minutes an LED session would take. It's difficult to explain to the client that LED isn't the be all and end all when there is so much coverage on social media about one modality being the answer to eveything! 😊
I did use the info red lamp in one treatment video recently, explaining when i would/do use it.... as for high frequency, although a good machine, i rarely use it because i use aha's in most of my treatments and the two together are too strong and can burn the skin. I prefer the benefits of aha's v's high frequency for acnetic skin types:))
Beautiful results. Is Laila using retinol at home ? I'm wondering if you'd be able to layer so much retinol if she isn't using it at home and skin is not used to it yet ? Or what percentage of vitamins A is it that you're using ?
This client has a few bump on her cheek (raised bumps) I see that often in doing treatments on mature skin. It is the same color of their skin. What is it?
yes it does come after cleansing. Sometimes i just don't want it to be too strong...so i will mix it with the healing gel or in Laila's case i layer it...she not really surface dry:))
surface dryness is a dehydrated surface. Best that you watch my videos that show surface dryness so you can see what it is:)) Laila's is not a surface dry skin
Mud and seaweed clay masks are very stimulating.....especially mud. Another words not great for a sensitive skin (generally speaking) But, if you were adding to it and diluting it could change my answer here. I don't like clay masks to dry....I will remove them before it gets to that point:)

Nerida Joy thank you I will, do you think think it’s better to extract spots or just leave them to go? :)
depends on what they look like...@@cydniealdridge4766
Nerida Joy if they have a head? X
use tissues and lightly squeeze after a warm shower.....being very clean:))@@cydniealdridge4766
She has a video on loosen, soften sebum.....may help.
@@NeridaJoySkincare thank you, so helpful as always. Look forward to the next video and trying Daniella's routine :)
Awesome:))@@pebblebottom88
Hi Nerida, what is considered a regular basis for body massage - would once a month be regular or more often?
L L she has told us in the past she goes once a week. I’m not sure if that still applies 😊
I have them weekly..... but if you can do them once or twice a month....that is awesome:))))
xo:))@@bkells3123
Regarding the weekly massages you get, is there a specific type of body massage that you request? Love your videos by the way❤️🙌🏻
Thank you. Yes, my massage works the facia really well...its very firm and fat stripping:))
Such an amaizing tecnic, youre the best!!!! 💚
Thank you:))

Keep going@@jross977 You are doing a great job....and get it!!! xo:))
Can u talk more about infa red lamp when you use it and maybe one time about high frequency xx
Do you sell those products can you please send me the link. Thanks
Nice video, nice lifting & firming facial massage. I love it. I enjoy watching.
Awesome Technique 👍🏾💯👍🏾💯👍🏾enjoyed video
Hi Nerida I tried looking up on the website re if the q flavanoid would be ok to use while pregnant. It should be but hoped you could advise?
Yes, absolutely fine;))
How do you keep your hands from drying out and peeling from all those chemicals?
They are not drying:))
Thanks for the great video!
Thank YOU!
Beautiful results. Is Laila using retinol at home ? I'm wondering if you'd be able to layer so much retinol if she isn't using it at home and skin is not used to it yet ? Or what percentage of vitamins A is it that you're using ?
She is using aha's at home presently.... Wait for her next video....she looks AMAZING now:))
This client has a few bump on her cheek (raised bumps) I see that often in doing treatments on mature skin. It is the same color of their skin. What is it?
Moles... They can be shaved (which they often grow back) or cut...which leaves a scar and/or indent....plus may take pigment:))
Where can i buy the mask? 😊 thank you
www.educateyourskin.com :))
why the serum before exfoliation? I thought exfoliation would come after the cleanse
yes it does come after cleansing. Sometimes i just don't want it to be too strong...so i will mix it with the healing gel or in Laila's case i layer it...she not really surface dry:))
Nerida I want to place an order on pro account but I can't find masks (powder masks mix with water) what you use on Laila
is there a reason why you rub in the facial mask instead of leaving and then rinsiing?
Yep, I love to massage as much as possible....:))
Another great video!!
Thank you:))
Should oily skin use foam?
Great mature client's most of my clients are mature xxx
Awesome!!:))
Nerinda is pure ASMR
Lol:))
Yesssss. Luv the videos 💆🏿♀️👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾
Thank you Akcira:))
can you elaborate when you are referring to the levels?
Skin levels...the layers:))
Why Does she apply serun before de exfoliation?
just layering. Laila isn't surface dry....just buffering my exfoliant to make it mild:))
How can you tell the surface dry from the dehydration?
surface dryness is a dehydrated surface. Best that you watch my videos that show surface dryness so you can see what it is:)) Laila's is not a surface dry skin
Laila’s dehydrated
What’s your opinion on clay masks?
Mud and seaweed clay masks are very stimulating.....especially mud. Another words not great for a sensitive skin (generally speaking) But, if you were adding to it and diluting it could change my answer here. I don't like clay masks to dry....I will remove them before it gets to that point:)
Great video. Thx.
Thank YOU!
Are you wetting your hands when you massage in the milk cleanser?
Nope.... not needed:)) but you could if you wanted. It would just dilute the cleanser though:))
I really enjoy watching your facials! I want to become an esthetician and these videos are inspiring while also being educating. Thank you for sharing your knowledge and treatments! :)
what is her night time moisturizer?
The rejuvi plus Bio refining :))
did you use the q flavonoid on herface twice?
yes, several:))
link to beauty plus line? link please
www.educateyourskin.com Its the rejuvi plus line on the website:))
What are the massages you use for your treatments and did you use with Laila's facials?
Yay thanks!!
