New job, I am getting back to posting this weekend. I haven't been able to do a react video in about a year! I can't believe it's been that long already :) plus this time I'll have a wonderful addition to the video, which is a surprise until I post the next one ;) I am excited to be back! Thank you for the react suggestions, I am compiling a new list of react's to do going forward into the future. You're awesmoe :D

Another wonderful reaction! Thank you! You should add another Japanese female jazz drummer list called Kanade Sato. She's younger than Senri by about 5 years, I think. After listening to these female drummers from Japan, it'd be cool if you let us know how you'd rank them.
It's hard to rank all the MOST AWESOME drummers, each with nuances to their individual talents that make all of them special. Agree about Kanade though. Also need Murata Tamu, and Akane Hirose (BandMaid) in list of great Japanese Females. Although not my favorite, also need Haruna (LoveBites) added. Probably many others.
@@CaffeineNightOwl Tamu did several music videos with Lady Beard. If you're talking about the live performance, Tamu does most of the singing. If you were watching that video, you'll notice the backup band is: Daisuke Kurosawa, guitar, Yashiro, guitar, Harunosuke Ikejiri, bass, and Harunosuke's wife, Yoshiko Ikejiri on keyboards. Tamu is just willing to work with anyone, and when she can, she brings along her friends to help out. She's not just an awesome musician, she's an awesome person! Russ
That was in 2014, she is many times better now. Senri and Kanade Kato are amazingly versatile drummers . Hopefully Yoyoka will with age do the same and branch out trying other styles.
Great reaction and Japan has some wonderful female drummers, Sanri, Kanade Sato and of course Yoyoka. In case you're wondering, Yoyoka did a cover of this song when she was 7 - ruclips.net/video/MkhGgqXywU8/видео.html
Try Akane from Band Maid also;female japanese drummers have taken over for sure; Now i'm thinking Haruna from Lovebites and all those wisardesses of the doublekick .
Senri, “Princess of Many Strokes”, is in contention for best drummer in the world. These guys joined Her band, & she’s only 17 in that vid. Try her Triangle(band) set from Tokyo jazz awards show (just shy of Grammy), when she was 20. The 15 min version has an interview at the end. Here’s a 5min piece ruclips.net/video/snMfDjmEcNM/видео.html It’s tough being just outside the 4 best (female Japanese youth) drummers, but I love the covers Yuki Ogawa chooses, latest is the anime “bursty greedy spider” ruclips.net/video/ebWYo_3JTgE/видео.html Of course Senri, and Kanade Sato (check her, rock or jazz), Yoyoka, Junna, and her replacement in Trident, Murata Tamu(Nemophila), BandMaid & Lovebites, also RisaRisa (Disqualia with Nemophila’s Hazuki, Destrose after Haruna), Yuri & Hana (Gacharic Spin sometimes both play together, Hana of doll$Boxx), the new Bridear drummer who was formerly Telecide, Marina of Aldious (stepdaughter of Terry Bozzio), Maximum the Hormone, Mary’s Blood, Hanabie, Fate-Gear, D_Drive, so many more, and again, that’s just young Japanese rocker women! Can’t find the Gacharic Spin one with two drummers, but here’s the “new girl” Yuri, about 25, about 4’10”?, so a giant compared to Haruna, but still light enough that a flam picks her up off her throne! ruclips.net/video/9r6YeSatOac/видео.html
Gives you inspiration. Then your reaction explains and inspire others. I'm a guitarist yet watch so many drum reaction videos from you , Rooney, wave potter and bunch more. I watched yoyoka during lockdown, then Murata Tamu, Senri,. I don't watch guitar reaction vids or how to play this or that complete with tablature. Playing with jam tracks is RUclips guitar practice for me. Why would I watch ten times more drum reaction video when I don't even want to play the drums. Seriously, none, no desire to sit on that stool and pick up the sticks. It does improve my guitar playing. Feel, timing , tempo , dynamics and more. I'd pick up terms and go to my drummer friend and ask "what the hell is a ghost note? Define in the pocket?" Shit like that and what makes it so hard? Then I start ask how, what, why he got into drums. Then he starts thinking and remember the reasons and gets inspired . Mission accomplished . Now I got a good old school hard rock drummer within walking distance.
This is the best comment ever!!! :D You are amazing for telling me this, I truly am inspired myself that you are able to communicate openly with your friend on this level now and form this expansive connection that will absolutely last the rest of your lifetimes. Thank you so much for telling me this :D I really am glad to know that my reacts inspire people. I am so grateful for you all and hope to be able to get to know everyone on a personal level. RUclips is the best thing that has ever happened to me. :) Thank you friend and please thank your friend too!
@@vand3rhorst when you did that video showing the house and your situation you looked stressed. So I wanted to try to raise your spirits. A day or two later watching the reaction videos I could tell you were animated and excited. It's when you said seeing to hear drummers inspired you. That stood out and made me think of how inspiration works. Earlier I had seen Rooney reactions and noticed him stopping and rewinding sections. I can see it in the facial expressions. Same with Wave Potter. I'm starting to be able to pick out the good sections. I can see all you drum reactors getting more excited and that in turn inspires me. Do thanks to all of you. Music has a kind of power that can be timeless.
@@vand3rhorst congratulations on the home. Don't forget to soundproof your music/drum /studio/practice facility. Hope you're working on original stuff also. I'm starting to catalog and record chord progressions to flesh out songs. Wish they stii made four track cassette recorders. Appreciate digital advances but I get more use out of my black star fly than my peavey viper amplifier. A high gain sound ( like an old proco Rat pedal) and a delay are a good start on tone or a Marshall or Hughes and kettner. Keep rocking and stay safe.
Senri was a lot older than 8 in this video. If you want your mind blown, watch this rare, live performance recording of Yoyoka playing this song with a band, in a club, when she was 7! 🤯 ruclips.net/video/MkhGgqXywU8/видео.html
Maybe the best drummer in the world May I suggest you try something from Sina Drums ? Also Kanade Sato os another contemporary of Senri but a little younger
There have been many good reactions to Senri but you are the only one to have mentioned the one point why I love Senri's playing. She never over plays. Everything shoe does sits magnificently to the music. I believe male testosterone filled drummers and other musos ego that causes technically proficient players to over play. Senri nails it time and time again. A song is not a technical exercise, i wish many more musicians would understand that. Dennis Chambers is a great drummer to listen to if you haven't.
I truly appreciate these kind words! I believe a truly good reaction must come from experience. You the viewers can tell when someone is lying or just fishing for something to say. This brings me a lot of joy :)

Very very cool review of this amazing track. You should really check out the new version recorded by Senri in May 2020 (ruclips.net/video/jO8VlSqw7do/видео.html) in studio this time. Seven years later it could be cool to have your impression regarding her progression. It is like "this track is become so easy" for her now, so much time to play the groove. And such a pleasure for her to play. The funny thing is she says at the beginning "I am a bit nervous, but I'll do my best". Oh my god. The video includes three other tracks (Adventure, Longing Skyline and Real Life) which are all insanely good.
@@vand3rhorst You are very welcome. By the way, I have to thank you a lot (and I insist a lot) because at the end of your review you mentioned some names for upcoming reviews, and one of them picked my curiosity (I do not know why, maybe because of the name): BAND-MAID. So I checked it out, and .... Oh My Lord, what the hell is this band. How could it be possible I missed this of the past years? I am 54 yo, so I listened a lot of music in the past decades, multiple genres, and I have to say, I got a lot of pleasure with a lot of musicians or groups (heavy metal, jazz, blues, electro, ...). But BAND-MAID is for me the best heavy-rock band ever. Stunning. No actually, I have no words to describe it. The live video of "Domination", or the music videos of "Blooming" or "Manners", what masterpieces... So again, thank you some much for that.

But after watching this, it seems that Yoyoka may have way more potential than I thought. When you compare age to age, it is very clear that Yoyoka is more advanced at this stage than Senri was at the same ages. Senri’s current jazz fusion solos have to be some of the best in the world, so creative and engaging. Yoyoka seems to be on track to surpass that in the next 10 years. Ahhh... but there's a big difference between Senri and Yoyoka in those earlier years. Yoyoka is still only playing covers, and emulating drum parts that were created by others before her. Senri created her own drum parts and solos since the age of 12 and had an album deal at 14, where she created all her own parts. I love them both, but Senri is a more creative and she sight reads. Yoyoka still has a ways to go in both of those respects. But Yoyoka has an edge in all around musicianship when it comes to playing other instruments. Both are supremely talented, and we, as fans, are the beneficiaries of watching them both grow in their craft. Oh, and let's not forget Akane Hirose from Band Maid. Senri has been my favorite for a long time. She was 14 at the time of this performance. I have YT links to a bunch of her tunes.
You're still monitoring your old posts? Very cool, and thanks for the heart. Here's one I'm sure you'll love, a bit newer. Both are good, but I like Senri better:

You've reacted to a lot of good musicians, but how about the singer of the millennia, Dimash! His backup band kicks ass, too. here's just a few to whet your appetite (keep an eye on your views... give it a week).

Be sitting down, and enjoy, whether you do a reaction or not.
I do react and still read every comment I possibly can :D I've been over this last year transitioning into my own place that I legit own and have a mortgage.
Awesome dude
I can't stop hearing D-code (Alain Carron) in this song. But man, do they rock! And Senri is the queen!
This is from when Senri was 17, but also there is an another version when she was 23.
ruclips.net/video/jO8VlSqw7do/видео.html
By the way, your favorite Yoyoka covered this song when she was 7.
ruclips.net/video/MkhGgqXywU8/видео.html
Science behind it SENRI
Oh Nick! By the way, Tamu Murata also plays keyboards, SAX, guitar, and bass; AND sings. Russ
her coop with lady beard is hillarious.🤣
Here’s a 5min piece ruclips.net/video/snMfDjmEcNM/видео.html
It’s tough being just outside the 4 best (female Japanese youth) drummers, but I love the covers Yuki Ogawa chooses, latest is the anime “bursty greedy spider” ruclips.net/video/ebWYo_3JTgE/видео.html
Of course Senri, and Kanade Sato (check her, rock or jazz), Yoyoka, Junna, and her replacement in Trident, Murata Tamu(Nemophila), BandMaid & Lovebites, also RisaRisa (Disqualia with Nemophila’s Hazuki, Destrose after Haruna), Yuri & Hana (Gacharic Spin sometimes both play together, Hana of doll$Boxx), the new Bridear drummer who was formerly Telecide, Marina of Aldious (stepdaughter of Terry Bozzio), Maximum the Hormone, Mary’s Blood, Hanabie, Fate-Gear, D_Drive, so many more, and again, that’s just young Japanese rocker women!
Timeless to even right now as I am reading this in my own new home! I appreciate you Takao!
It does sound like a mario kart theme song
Antonio Inoki on Bass. By the way, awesome stuff.
Senri wrote and composed this song.
Senri was a lot older than 8 in this video. If you want your mind blown, watch this rare, live performance recording of Yoyoka playing this song with a band, in a club, when she was 7! 🤯
ruclips.net/video/MkhGgqXywU8/видео.html
another drummer to check it out is...kanade sato...👍
"After all your Videos Ive seen so far...i think you have a crush on Japanese Artists :) " Good Choice ^^
I do...xD Not even gonna lie.

Japan has a very unique school system. I tell you, when I hear her I feel the same like you but... there is someone even more interesting. It's Kanade Sato. She incorporates all the beauty of drumming :

Very very cool review of this amazing track.
You should really check out the new version recorded by Senri in May 2020 (ruclips.net/video/jO8VlSqw7do/видео.html) in studio this time. Seven years later it could be cool to have your impression regarding her progression. It is like "this track is become so easy" for her now, so much time to play the groove. And such a pleasure for her to play. The funny thing is she says at the beginning "I am a bit nervous, but I'll do my best". Oh my god. The video includes three other tracks (Adventure, Longing Skyline and Real Life) which are all insanely good.
Oh wow thanks a lot! I'm going to record this today :D Thanks brotha!!!
If the was 2014 Senri Kawaguchi was only 16 years old at the time!!
As a Yoyoka and Senri fan, you will find this very interesting. This is for background/entertainment, not necessarily reaction. "Senri's childhood Archives (ages 6 to 10 years old) 幼い頃の千里" ruclips.net/video/24HM6KpY9X4/видео.html (from 2012).
Nothing I say here is to diminish Senri’s abilities, she is so awesome and extremely advanced in her skill level. And I hate to compare one to another to say one is better than the other. Can’t wait to see what happens with both these wonderful young ladies. Senri hasn’t maxed out for sure, so there’s no idea what she will be doing in 10 years. Both will be doing something that no one ever imagined is even possible for sure. GO GIRLS!!!
Don't wish you could play the sax. Stop Fn around and DO IT! You are at an inspirational turning point in your life. Take advantage of it!
YOU ARE SO RIGHT!!!
Senri has done several sessions for drumeo on yt, also as I am a Billy Cobham fan, she did Status live in France when she was 16 I think. You can find it here, also your commenters are right you need to see Kanade Sato. Her Dave Welki cover is worth your time. My favorite drummer to watching is Yoyoka, but you can make an arguement that these 2 are better than her right now.
I think there's no "R" in Japanese, so her name "Senri" is not pronounced how we English speaking folks think. In Japanese her name sounds like "Cindy".
She smokes this song watch
She is acyually 18 these days; a prodige for sure
Can you react to Azel demuth(VIP)
You're working too hard again Nick...lol Getting all those amazing 8-9 yo Japanese girls mixed up...lol
Senri was born Jan 1997, so she is actually almost 18 here, not 8 yo (00:39)
I ammmm XD haha It's amazing you catch that. It's like you know me personally. haha
@@vand3rhorst Somebody's got to keep you in line....lol I have just watched all these awesome Japanese drummers much more than you, so when there's a tiny mistake like that, it just slams me in the face. It's like when you catch something musical that I have no clue even happened. lol So here is one Wave caught that no one else has pointed out. This is copied from a post I made about it. You really want to check it out. It's Yoyoka, so it's AMAZING! "For anyone that wants to really know how good Yoyoka is (not that anyone doubts it), play this starting at 00:49 at .50 speed and watch at 00:50 how she almost drops the stick in her right hand by accidentally hitting it on the side of her drum after hitting the cymbal on her right. What a phenomenal save! Never lost her smile or the beat! I think most drummers would have dropped the stick. I never noticed it until "Wave Potter" did a reaction of it and caught it. He was quite impressed that she didn't drop the stick. Check out his channel, he's a really nice guy and a new fan of Yoyoka. ruclips.net/video/EX1o1ty_2BU/видео.html"

@@vand3rhorst We have to see who's colab project comes out first. You and Wave or Yoyoka and Ian Paice (they have completed the colab, but have not released yet. Assuming they are in production. Expected it to be released by now.)
You get a better look at her technique from this video, she's a little older too!

Ahhh... but there's a big difference between Senri and Yoyoka in those earlier years.
She's also a top tier Rock drummer in her own right.
Oh, have you seen Tamu Murata? She didn't start playing drums until she was 15. Look at her now in her 20's... ruclips.net/video/_O9QPGxQDI8/видео.html
