There was a time, so bright and gay
    It seems like only yesterday
When I held your brain in my arms
    Your adrenalin was like wine
    Sweet perfume was your endocrine
When I held your brain in my arms
But now your brain is gone and it's left an empty hole
I gaze into your sockets but you're just a hollow skull
I used to love a lotta
    Your medulla oblongota
    And your basal ganglia
I remember we would stroll along your fissure of Rolando
When I held your brain in my arms
I miss how we would float down your vestibular canal
And how we would go swimming in your pons
The music you would play us
    On your locus ceruleus
    First Observer-
    Still tickles my neurons
Now I'm sorry that I dropped you
    That I accidentally plopped you
When I held your brain in my arms

Damn, this dates it...and me. I was just thinking the other day (...pandemic brain), does anybody else remember the episode of "Suddenly Susan" where Brooke Shields (newly-paired up with her boss), borrowed Judd Nelson's toothbrush, declared how scientists had discovered that our tongues are a hotbed of bacteria, then wildly scrubs her tongue with his toothbrush, handing it back to him? And the look on his face? I LOL-ed like crazy, back before that was even a thing. Ah, memories 👅🤭

  • @SunRabbit
    @SunRabbit 6 лет назад +1

I can sing this by heart after having heard it just a couple of times back in 2010 on RUclips. Something about it just made an indelible mark on my brain (pun intended). MST3K was my favourite TV show back in the late 90s when I briefly lived in the US, along with Mr. Show. I don't remember seeing it when it originally aired, though. If there exists a boxed DVD set, then I know what I'm getting myself for Christmas. The US produces both the best and the worst TV and movies, HOWEVER, sometimes (but rarely) the Czech mutation is better than the original because I actually liked MASH on CZTV but was very disappointed when I saw it in the original. So, given the fact that both the best and the worst material gets produced in the US makes for a perfect combination when you have a show like MST3K because whoever wrote that was a genius, right down to details like this one song.
