Very good review! I have some questions for you: 1) In PASM modes, can you select the focus point with the "joystick" like you can do with a reflex? 2) How the electric zoom works? How fast is it? 3) How the manual focus works? 4) When you are in RAW shooting mode, how much time you have to wait before you can shoot again? Do you thing this time is suitable for sports photos? Thank you very much!
This is a very interesting P&S from Nikon. Images from it look excellent, and it has class leading IQ/sensor performance in the test on DxOMark. I would like Nikon to combine the Nikon 1 operation/AF performance with the fix zoom of a P7700. I'd buy it on day one.
No, because this is exactly the point of es enthusiast camea. I would be happy to have also an ISO wheel like the g12 and an focus method switch like the x10 on this camera. If you dont want many buttons, go for the Sony RX100.
The operational speed of this new model is slow, motor is noisy and there is no Ring lens release button therefore, Like P7100 we can not add extra wide angle/close-up lens. I like my P7100. Overall some other features are Plus.
The jpegs are good enough for me which I enhance in PS and could blowup up to 16R with fine details all through out. I use a SD card 16gb class 10. Based on the reviews RAW mode is slow. But who knows what you can do? Cheers:)
Too long of a review. More like a lesson of how to use this. I bought one. I would like to see actual image results... AKA a review out on the field as a camera is meant for.
Just bought one, the clarity of the lens is incredible. First time to use an articulated screen and I'm hooked. Abit slow processing though.
