I have this camera and I would agree 100% with Larry. It is a really nice point and shoot that takes photos that are noticeably better than your typical digicam. My greatest disappointment with the camera is the very slow buffering when using RAW. With a regular SD card it can be up to 4 seconds and when using a super fast card it is about 2 seconds. If you just shoot in JPEG you should be pretty happy with the speed of the camera.
Great review, got mine last week really impressed by all the features except for RAW write speed but I personally can live with it. :)
I Bought on and sold it directly. Good pictures and all but i was planning to use for hand hold bracketing but FPS in bracketing mode was about 1 fps regardless picture quality. Strange for a camer that can shoot 8 fps other wise?? Nikon could not answer why this was.
There´s a silent mode zoom in case you´re filming.
in the user manual of p7700 said that it combined the result of the BKT
is it just the combine jpg or you can have the individual shots in NRW format ?
What would you recommend if full featured video recording IS at the top of your list?
All 4 cameras are for advanced uses and will offer excellent image quality, plenty of manual control plus RAW files. The P7700 lacks a VF but does have the longest zoom range of the bunch and an articulated screen. Both the G15 and X10 have optical VF's.

I would take a look at the full featured Fuji X-S1. The X-S1 Digital Camera (Black) looks like a DSLR, but has a fixed 26x 24-624mm lens with a very fast f/2.8 maximum aperture at the wide-angle end of the zoom (it goes to f/5.6 at longer focal lengths). The 2/3" EXR CMOS sensor captures both high res stills and 1080p HD video at a maximum resolution of 12MP. B&H # FUXS1B
