Oh no Richard missed Combat Thresher because the card thinks it's 7 mana but really it's a 3 drop perfect for his deck.
Scoops versions of the crew saying clash on but crim is grimacing, tomer is cheering, Seth is trying to mulligan and the cod father is deciding which two drop cantrip creature to play first

Really cool to see Sheldon’s deck from Tomer, I based my Queen Marchesa on being a Mardu version of that deck (almost every card that could be carrried over was). I love Mirror Strike because it can kill someone with their own commander damage 😂 it’s a great deck and I’m sad I’ll never get to play mine against him, RIP to a legend.

Reins of Power is my favorite instant hands down!!! Highly underrated. I cannot count the number of times it saved me from death or outright won me the game.

Same, no one expects reins of power, the card can be a mini mob rule or a fog
People read it and think of it in a 1v1 way but in Commander it's a powerful instant in a wide variety of situations.
Yea, the ammount of game states that it's good in is so diverse. Even Tomer's rating was underrating it when he said it was only good in specific decks.

I think Tomer shoulda grabbed the gilded lotus off the forgemaster - then he would've had desertion open for seth's and crim's turns
You can tell he gets really nervous when he has a tutor and always picks the wrong option lol
I like to imagine if they did a contest for a t-shirt design, then by the democracy of votes we would get a shirt that just reads "clash on" in Comic-Sans font as the contest winner.

Reins of power is so crazy good with how much it can do. Definitely slept on
its really good. especially if you have any kinda sac synergies. ashnods altar turns it into a boardwipe/ritual. it can just be a fog or you can one shot people with it. ive taken out an urdragon player from 50 life with their own board using it before. depending on the creatures you have in play you can also switch with an aly and both get value. take the combat players board, give them arcanis, swing at the combo player etc.

At 22:00 I expected Coveted Jewel, it's the most expensive thing in the deck.
Edit: I genuinely laughed at 24:30 when they mention the jewel tutor.

I love when someone tutors with 12 different correct options and they snag the one bad one lol. I know its pressure of recording and thinking but still funny.
I was basically making Crim's deck just the other day. Glad to know it works pretty well.

I always thought itd be cool to have a shirt that highlights all the best moments in commander clash. Kinda like an indiana jones movie poster. 😊

When I saw Ruhan, I knew it was a tribute to the great Sheldon Menery. Good!
Pretty sure the winning play from tomer was to discard the Refuse/cooperate to handsize, giving him a functional counterspell to force through his settle the wreckage instead of playing a chump blocker, probably still would have died to Seth and his infinite board though lol
I didn't really get the theme this week. Often times you talk about the budget, but Crim played Fierce Guardianship and other pretty good/expensive cards.
Obviously it didn't really matter that it was a Fierce Guardianship, could have been good ol' counterspell itself too. But I am still slightly confused.

its so funny whenever richard complains about swords while they're actively loosing to a single creature without hexproof/shroud
I've become a better Magic player by doing half of the things Richard says to do and doing the complete opposite of the other half of the things he says to do.
An obvious problem with Reins of Power tricks is that you're also lending the opponent *your* board, so unless your board needs non-creature synergies to work it tends not to be very good. Personally I'd put Mass Diminish in a deck over Reins, it's a much bigger effect usually (if you hold Mass Diminish up it can very easily kill off 2 players).
From the time Seth started moving in Richard's end step to the end of combat was over 21 minutes just on Seth's clock. I love artifact decks, but yeah, I can see why folks hate them.

T-Shirt Idea:
You want an upper case letters (SHOUTING) "clash on" on the shirt, surrounded by some mumble-ish "clash on"'s, similar to every start of an episode. It's usually only one who is actually shouting clash on :D

Neither, it would make a regular clue, a regular treasure... And a regular food instead of the food Golem copy.

4:30 wastes have always been so expensive that I was able to buy two 20$ lands and 36 non waste lands for my karn deck for significantly cheaper than 38 wastes

Tomer should have gotten Comeuppance with Sunforger the first time (or settle)
Then, the next turn, he should have equpped Sunforger post-combat, discarded the copy spell aftermath to hand size (as he did) and he would have been able to get Comeuppance with Sunforger and copy a counterspell.
Really not sure why he thought a chump blocker was somehow preferable to any of the numerous gotcha cards in his deck, even if he didn't see the copy spell line.

Glacial Chasm! With the Wasteland its vulnerable, but I think its incredibly underrated.
This, it’s literally my favorite card tbh next to marit lage, the only issue is you can really only put it in a deck with land sac or a way to remove the counters

The more time goes on as I play EDH, the more mellower my deckbuilding and playstyle has become. Turns out I’ve built a deck very similar to Sheldon’s deck, based on Aikido. Was lovely to see, may he rest in peace.
Same for my snapdax deck vehicles boros aggro every Counterspell in the colours and 25 combat tricks

Yavimaya Druid was great for Forestwalk heavy decks in 1 v 1 formats back before Craterhoof Beheamoth. Playing against someone with no forests and have a bunch of forestwalking elves? Now everything you control is unblockable.
