Shooting My Homemade Ballistic Gel! Does It Actually Work?

I wanted to make some homemade ballistic gelatin and see if it is any good at stopping bullets. It is actually very easy to make this DIY ballistic gel, for this recipe I used 7 liters of boiling water, 2 liters of unflavored gelatin, mixed those together really good, and left it in the fridge for 24 hours. If you have any ideas on how I can make my ballistic gel better let me know in the comments.

Gelatin worked, stopped a lot of bullets. 9 to be exact :-). The slow mo was super cool

You can preserve it with peroxide and it clears the gel up quite a bit

Next time use hollow points. Much better chance at catching 9mm maybe even 45acp.

I have watched many Clear Ballistics gel tests and 9mm always seems to go all the way through one gel block and into the second.
