For some reason, I love how Diaval sits through the whole magic ordeal at the dinner, and only stands up and gets behind Maleficent after the King is already cursed and Maleficent really gets ready to leave) It’s either an interesting characterisation, or Sam Riley really liked this chair and table and didn’t want to leave them)🤣

I liked the first one when I first watched it, but seeing the second one really made me just fall in love with the character Maleficent and I've lost count of how many times I've seen both films now 😂 All the Dark Fey stuff in this film was so interesting and the visuals were spectacular! Fun fact, the idea of the different ecosytems/types of Dark Fey came about from Angelina Joli's daughter. She was doing a school project on different ecosystems (Tundra, Desert, Tropical/Jungle, Forest) and that's where they got the idea for the home of the Dark Fey. I'm so glad you enjoyed these brilliant and underrated movies! 😁😁

Fun fact: The Sleeping Beauty tale has indeed two parts. The first its about Maleficent and the sleeping curse, the second its about Aurora and her Evil Mother-in-Law (for real, that's the literal name). So yes, the Prince's mother was evil in the original tale ---- she was an ogre shapeshifted into a human, making the Prince half human half ogre. To unlock her son's nature, she planned on cooking his children (Phillip and Aurora already had twins) into a stew and serving it to him. But the servants didn't allow that to happen. Once the prince finds out, he orders the servants to throw his mother into a cauldron filled with fervent poison. Did I go to the theatres hoping to see Maleficent throwing Queen Ingrid into a cauldron filled with poison? Yeap. Was I disappointed they wasted Michelle Pfeiffer's talent? Absolutely.

i recommend series Once Upon A Time, it adds all fairytales like snow white and sleeping beauty and so on and on it to 1universe main ppl from each fairytale know each other but few are in other world to so its sort of multiverse thing to but by curse they are brought in to our world the curse greats a small city what is hidden from our world a barrier what hides it and the stories continue in their own way and also cruse has to be broken, and few villains of the story are really more like anti-heroes and few good guys are really villains well who we know as villains and who heroes so few are the opposite of what we know of them to be
