Thank you for this! I usually use NX Dump Tool but it seems to be broken on 17.0.0 right now, I was going to be a bit saddened as I just wanted to copy my games over so that I could play them on my Steam Deck lol.
This actually works a lot more seamlessly than NXDT in my opinion too! I like that I can just transfer it directly to the PC without having to go from Switch -> SD -> PC, its nice to skip a step.
same boat, one question though. if you want to backup a cart, how do you also backup the updates/dlc? don't see the option at least for my BotW
updates and DLC can be seen inside the "installed applications" and when you highlight the dlc / updates, press the + button and you have an option to dump it to the SD card.
Yep, this video is life-saver, since nxdumptool broke again after FW 18.
So, I did the same method. Also, I disable sigpatches on SYSNAND CFW for foolproofing

for those whose folder is appearing empty except for a CSV. change the loader to package3 instead of fusee
for my the games in the CFW were also appearing as needing to be installed.
heres the change: replace "payload=bootloader/payloads/fusee.bin" with "fss0=atmosphere/package3"
if its already package 3 change it to fusse instead.
DBI is the most useful software for a modded Switch that no one knows about! 🙁

Dbi is the most important software for a jailbroken switch look no further this is the answer . The app is flawless I'm able to install games using dbi ftp server with my phone wirelessly awesome!!!

Question: where is the update and dlc files for the cartridge version? Is it caked into the rom already or is there a different location?
you need to get it online (legally) or just get the "war ez" version and install it using DBI

wait i have a question that i didn't really follow using dbi, Can you get banned even after you dumped your game on sysmmc?
yes you can if you install the dumped file to your sysmmc.
I've been trying to dump my cartridges that I own with this DBI method but I've been having a hard time dumping the update files too, but I may have found a solution? Tell me if this is okay:
Dumping the cartridge using this MTP Responder Method, then I went to DBI menu, browse installed applications, and then found the update files I have on the NAND. I dumped them to SD Card and put them on PC to install to switch later. Does this work?
yes that will work.
I will give this a try, having issues with tinfoil resetting usb connection. Does this have same issue?

No need to be connected to the internet. You can install digital games too
I have a problem and I don't know what to do. I installed Animal Crossing New Horizons and Zelda Breath of the Wild on my Switch but only Animal Crossing is shown when i go to installed games and i have no idea why. I thought it might be because Zelda is on a cartridge but it should still show up there, right?
Maybe you installed the updates, not the base game.
i put some game cartridges into my switch and installed the updates on Stock filmware, went into Sys cfw but when i connect to MTP responder and go into my installed games folder there's nothing in it. the gamecard folder shows the cartridge that's currently inserted but there's nothing in the installed folder. What am i missing?
try to unhide the hidden folders in Windows.
@@sthetixofficial just tried that and the installed games folder is still empty, the only thing that's in it is a ( installedApplications csv file)

@@nugget9875 if all you games show as needing to be installed. change the hekate_ipl.ini to boot with package3 instead of fusee (or vice versa)

Hey man I have a question, So I downloaded and installed Mario Kart using this method, but when I go to play it, it shows the ICloud logo above the game and tells me to connect to the store to download it, who ever hacked my switch somehow added this a doom and resident evil to the Home Screen and I’m not able to play these games. Is there a way around this? I’d love to play Mario Kart and Pokemon Arceus.
Try to reinstall the games. Check if you have loaded the sysmmc or emummc?
@@sthetixofficial I fixed it, so apparently I'm stupid, and I was installing the update and NOT the base ROM lmfao. finally figured it out and all is good. I really do appreciate the response. How do you delete a game that you no longer want to have on the Switch? Do you just delete the file from Installed games folder?
yes you can delete it like usual , inside the system settings.
When I downloaded the game a blank square appeared on the home screen with a infinite loading icon on it. It says it could not start the software, is there a reason why?
Maybe the game is corrupted
To install them into a new console do i just move the files in the switch reversed process or do i need tk reinstall them with awoo installer or soemthing

@@sthetixofficial hello, un ny files under installed games i have folders of the game with different sub folders inside and i also have some nsp files of the game outside as well. what are these? should i just copy all of them?
DBI doesn't show the 4: Installed Games folder despite the option is enabled .... Edit: DBI + prod.keys must be on SD Card/switch and not on SD Card/switch/DBI
i have my keys in the right spot but the installed games aren't appearing. only the .csv file :/
Confused. Are these duplicates? Can we delete the single .nsps from the switch?

Is it safe to install dbi on sysnand? I’ve had ppl tell me that you can without risking a ban. There are games that I want to dump that I only have on my sysnand
running dbi on sysnand won't get your console banned. unless you install nsp or xci to the sysnand

EDIT: Never mind. I just did a test game dump with my physical copy of Pokémon Legends Arceus, and checked to make sure both my V1 Switch and Switch OLED were NOT banned at all.
It will only ban the V1 so far, assuming it has the dumped one installed. No idea how long they take to ban a console. Probably your console(s) have red flags now.
Sthetix, can you send me a zip file containing your Nintendo 3ds folder and everything? It's because the SD card of my 2ds doesn't work when I insert it and all my games are not in it

@sthetix i need help not related to this, I was installing game through DBI, but the screen turned off, and after trying to turn it on for a while, it only loads to sysnand, how can i get back to hekate menu when u boot up, its a custom bought modded switch, need help plzz.
try to reboot the console and if it is chipped, it means the chip doesnt work properly.

maybe u didn't install the base game file
I see you don't have the usb 3.0 speed anymore since you are on dbi 598. In your other video you had 3.0 on dbi 398.

edit the dbi config and enable the installed or game card option

I can't send any file from my desktop to SD CRAD, Transfer always fails, what's the problem? But the opposite works excellently, can anyone help me plz?
try updating your firmware/ replace the USB port / cable.

Did you end up figuring this out? I'm going through the same issue right now. I'm in my Switch's "installed games" partition and all of the NSP files are 1kb and the NSP files inside of the folders are about 500bytes in size.
Edit: Nevermind, updating to the latest DBI seems to have fixed that issue. Games are showing up fine now.
Just want to ask, about my hack ps vita , whay can i do when i get GPU crash? i bought it hacked alr3ady, can i remove the hack and hack it again to solve the GPU crash? thanks hope you can help

there are consequences when you mod your console. if you don't want to get banned, please don't mod it.
Is it normal for the connection to be set to USB 2.0 speeds or do I have to change a setting?
did you use my pack? you can set your ams config to have usb 3.0 speed.

if you use my pack then it should have a usb 3.0 by default. try changing the usb port
@@sthetixofficial I am already using a C to C cable. How do I double check to make sure the USB 3.0 setting is in fact on?
EDIT: It seems the issue was the cable. I tried a Thunderbolt 3 cable and now it says USB 3.0 Super Speed. USB-C cables are a complete mess.

edit config dbi nya dan cek di bagian mtp ada setting yg harus di enable.
Udah di enable semua d config nya tapi ttp ga k baca di komputer foldernya. Folder yg lain kebaca semua cuman Installed Games yg hilang.
Btw, sy pake HATS pack yg terbaru, Fw 17.0 dan Dbi 640

Guys this video is far too over complicated all you need to do is select dbi and click install game on cfw that's it lol saved your 5 mins
there is insufficient space to complete operation I HAVE SPACE! trying to put on pc and tried multiple locations on pc...
Try updating the firmware version and the boot pack.
