Thank you :) The real version of the MD500 can also use a 4-bladed tail rotor for the exact same reason - tail noise reduction. Great video and good info, i just ordered one of those helis and some upgrade tips are quite helpful! Say does the one in this video have the optical flow sensor for position hold assist?
I just put the left stick (collective) to 0% and control the cyclic so that the heli flew above me until it eventually stopped to rise up and started to fly down. I still don't know what is the problem ... all I can tell is that since the outside temps got higher the heli doesn't have that problem anymore. But maybe that's only a coincidence and the problem may occur again even in higher temps ... I hope that won't happen as I otherwise like this heli, it looks great and it flies quite well.

This same thing has happened to another reviewer, so there is a problem with firmware/hardware. Someone mentioned to not have any inputs active while doing the auto take-off. May or may not be the cause..I'm new at heli's and really don't want to junk this. I got the OD green version...Thing looks great.

Unfortunately I can't find any link to this motor as it's not being made anymore. I've used this motor because I had it laying around. But look, any motor of this size and similar KV should be good also, the motor just has to have the same mounting hole distances as the stock one otherwise you won't be able to mount it on the heli.
The motor I used has 5200KV, but it is not necessary that it has to be exactly 5200KV because the flight controller can compensate minor differences in KV. So I would say anything around 5000KV should be OK, and I recommend that the motor size is not bigger than 1105 - if the motor is larger than that it may be to heavy and the helicopter would be out of balance.

@@fklotaloi From my research, it’s not that difficult. You just need the Radiomaster TX16S transmitter. I will not be purchasing it for this already overpriced helicopter. I’ll stick to Spektrum. The defective heli is already on its way back to the seller. This chopper looks good, and without the Radiomaster, that’s about it. Next!

good hacks. have you figured out the auto take-off problem. what course of action did you take to get it back down?
