      I noticed you said your truck was a 100 percent owned by the company when you just started your business, what did you meant by that?

    • @CaroletteWright1
      @CaroletteWright1  3 месяца назад

      @@intellectambition5041 When I first started my business, the truck was paid off in cash.
      My company didn't owe any third-party creditors.
      I say the "company" because the truck was registered in the business' name.
      I knew I didn't want any personal liability for the truck. All liability and ownership is held in the interest of the business.

    I think I'd go with Freightliner m2 106 with a dd5 engine because they have the fewest regen and DEF problems and a 400k mile b10 rating.
    Air ride suspension if you can afford it over leaf springs.
    Box trucks tend to have higher final drive gear ratios in the rear differential. Higher gear ratios are good for acceleration and hills but will also cause the engine to run at higher rpms at freeway speeds, which can impact fuel efficiency and engine longevity. The Allison automatic transmissions are probably the best option, but I think they are limited to 6 speeds, unlike the bigger trucks. Maybe someday they will make a smaller version of the DT12.

    Ms. Wright, love your attitude about running business. we purchase our first truck (2013 International/durastar) few months and regret not getting the lift gate. We also had mechanical problems with canister/gasket after our first load. We are looking at getting truck and will take mistakes we made from our first truck purchase.

      Cummins engine 260 hp and a allison transmisson. If it had got that combo then it aint a truck. There expensive for a reason.

    Is it wise, before I buy a truck to take it to a dealer to have it checked out.

    • @CaroletteWright1
      @CaroletteWright1  2 месяца назад

      Yes, this is wise, especially if buying from a private seller.

    Would u buy a used truck off facebook marketplace that has dot inspection within the last 6 months

    • @CaroletteWright1
      @CaroletteWright1  3 месяца назад

      If you’re talking about the Annual DOT Inspection, only one required every 12 months. I am unsure if you mean the random DOT inspections, if so, I don’t know why either DOT Inspection are a disqualifier? But my buying decision would be based on more than just the DOT Inspections.
