David always sounds so passionate and genuinely grateful when talking about MG or Snake, and that's beyond heartwarming, a lot of actors don't like being identified as just one character from their entire careers, but like I've said, David is grateful, and loves to still being seen as Snake, I love this man from the bottom of my heart
I also like how he sometimes says "me" in the context of what snake is doing. But it's not like an ego thing. He always says it in a fun way of him embodying the character. He's always extremely grateful for the role and everyone loves him.
Hmm... I don't know, think it's David who mispoke. First says Naked Snake and then mistakenly continues on with Big Boss when it's instead Old Snake @1:27 , easy to get them mixed when you voice almost all of them I'd imagine. I think the editor just worked with that they had.
Yeh it's funny, BIG BOSS who is naked snake in mgs3 was voiced by Richard Doyle in MGS4, who also narrated in peace walker, which they kinda showed in the edit. Obviously David will voice him in MGS DELTA and the original MGS3! So he may have referred to that. 😎👍🤔
His best performance is easily in metal gear solid 1 it sounds smooth, badass and confident yet still has a tinge of sadness and tragedy. You can tell so much about solid snake's personality by just hearing his voice. And that is such a difficult thing to pull of but he absolutely nailed it.
I respectful disagree. For me this voice in Peace walker was his best performance. In Peacewalker, he sounded like a broken, worn out soldier, who just wanted to die, because he was responsible for killing his master: "The Boss." And his whole country has betrayed him, and his master. The love interest is no where to be seen: "Eva". He just seen so sad and broken... an amazing, epic performance man...
Words can't describe how much I adore this man. My first introduction to him was at 5 years old, playing MGS with my dad. Then I watched him as Sean Barker in Guyver 2: Dark Hero. Guyver has since become one of my favorite anime series of all time, and it's because of him. Whenever Sho transforms, all I can hear is David jumping off that mountain in Dark Hero, and in his proto-Snake voice yelling GUYVER! Thank you David for everything. You've brought me smiles, laughter, and tears along the way. A true icon.

I still believe wholeheartedly I'll get to meet this man one day and just say thank you for being such a huge part of my 31 years on this planet. Best voice actor ever, voicing one of the best characters ever.
I met David in 2017 ECC and, of course, got 2 pictures signed and a selfie. My brother is a huge fan but was unable to attend as he was overseas and did not know I met David until later. within the first 2 minutes Gameology confused Big Boss with Solid Snake. Big Boss isn't 35 years old in MGS4, Solid Snake is.
solid snake is actually 42 in mgs4! but he got the point across...
David Hayter was confused too. Snake didn't attend Meryl's wedding.
I noticed that too, but it's easy to confuse, he was talking about Solid then Naked then an aged Solid on a scene with an also aged Naked
lol yes they fumbled.
Also, Hayter doesn't voice Big Boss in MGS4, Richard Doyle does. The way they edited this makes it really strange.
