I still think JP 151 is the Eevee Heroes of this era. The cards still have insane overall value despite the huge reprint.

“When everyone has the same idea to invest in a set, who’s left to buy it?” I AGREE!!

Yep I completely agree, Japanese high class sets are just not investable anymore. Tbh i would even go as far to say that Japanese SV is not investible altogether

      Even 151?

@@monkey39128 I don't think it's possible for it to be the eevee heroes of the era as it's a special set not main set. 151 has easier hits but the real issues is that it needs to stop being reprinted

I think the best play for sv era sets now is 151 and violet ex. The base sets japanese booster box of each era that has the waifu tends to do well long term, as can be seen from shield base, moon base. So im planning to pick up some violet ex while prices are still low. Can find booster boxes for that set for around 35dollars, which is a pretty good deal

how are you able to get 151 at $45 USD? Here in the US, the lowest I can buy them for is $58?

@@katscardsandgames buying directly from Japan is the most cost effective way, but it takes some learning

Yeah I actually use tenso for singles, the issue is finding a reliable and trustworthy vendor to work with since there's more risk involved by purchasing in larger quantities with little to no recourse in the event of scams. You wouldn't happen to have any you recommend would you?
Btw, your thoughts on jpn and pkmn market is greatly appreciated! Keep up the good work! xD

@@katscardsandgames I don’t really buy singles these days, I found buyee/mercari very hit or miss… mainly a sealed collector now and I use Amazon Japan to get the majority of my boxes! Just gotta be wary of seller feedback etc

@@bonnietastic_ I see. Amazon here is questionable with reseals and such, even from reputable vendors, I can imagine Amazon japan would be more challenging to get your money back in that event.
Have you ever gotten scammed? Have you considered establishing a more long term partnership with an individual vendor to hedge against such future risks? I think that would be an interesting topic to cover, and maybe a bit of your experience if you've ever gotten shafted (along with how you went about it, or what you'd recommend in those situations).
