I think you've made some very reasonable points here. I will throw out there we've seen in the past where an English set card goes up a bunch in price and then the Japanese follows. Might be some plays there. Also if you have a Japanese set card that was made into a promo in English this may give the Japanese card more desirability due to it being the harder chase.

One thing I will say is for 151 Japanese set is way better than English. Print quality of Japanese is so much better and the master ball holo is amazing. English psa10s are much harder to get 10s than Japanese, which could have a huge influence in price. I am collecting both for sealed and graded cards but have a feeling Japanese will perform better. What made me hate "investing" in japanese product is that nowadays there are a lot of people doing scummy things with importing products from japan to europe. In europe you have to pay rather high taxes (18%-25%) everytime you import things so if you are a criminal and declare incorrectly or use blackship etc you can obv get product way cheaper than the rest making it an very uneven playingfield which benefits criminals. That s why I sold 99% of my collection last year in june which turned out to be the perfect time. Also the people investing in japanese product (outside of japan) realy suck most of the time or atleast i ve made a lot of shitty experiences.
Eh... English may sell faster, but japanese booster box prices go higher and do it faster. Lost Abyss recently sold on eBay for $190. They costed $35 at one point. That's about 5x. Nomics, you should do a bit of research before advancing arguments that are quite weak. Like one piece, pokemon japanese language is preferred than english for all Asian continent, do your math. Japanese Sword & Shield booster boxes relative to their msrp , have outperform english even in in scarlet & violet(english sells ar 30-50% discount, while japanese at msrp). I do collect both but lately im a bit nervous how the english market is overheating, probably symptomatic of a small bubble forming. Also sets like lost origin, I won't touch as stepmothers & ex wives have all but bought a case of it...not saying all the hype that pushed people to clean the pokemon center...meaning the supply must be huge, now like in the musical chair game, many will fall probably, the smarter are already selling.
If you look at those numbers only up until 2021 it tells a different story though. The last couple years have thrown things off and in my opinion are not indicative of the future so be careful is all I'm saying..
Not sure we are looking at the same data, look at lost origin japanese compared to its msrp , and compare it with the english one... there's many other 151 being the last..
@moonbreon lost origin wasn't even released until during the Japanese boom lol. I said look at data before this bubble formed. I am expecting things to return to that normal is what I am saying.

Arigato 😁
Always facts 💯 delusional people get in tune!
Korean Eevee heroes booster boxes to the moon! Forget the high prices of Japanese and English 😂
Wtf will do Star Wars for me if I collect Pokemon?
Haha
If you look at how sets from xy sm performed up until 2022 or so it's a very different story
Why don't you show the numbers, the current prices, 151 aside in Pokemon do not reflect your opinion.
