Ive ordered 5 boxes from pokemon center japan, shipping and customs will make them at about 50 dollars a box, im going to keep them sealed, i think they will be 150 in 2-3 years. Ill buy more of the English version, open half and keep half sealed.
You forgot to establish your credibility in the first 30 seconds with your name, business and annual sales so I assumed no credibility and clicked off. 😂
For me the answer is pre-order a small amount of your total position. I got burned not pre-ordering enough eevee heroes thinking I could get more on a reprint.
I have a much harder time "investing" or at least understanding what I'm doing when investing in japanese sets. I can't ever get the buy time right, they reprint often and I never know why boxes move so much. Like lost abyss. I bought it at the last reprint when it went from 220-70 and it hasn't moved from 70 really. I'd have thought it would have gone right back up but maybe the reprint was bigger than I thought. I'm still holding, let's see what happens.🤷♂️
What I did was look at the market price of every high class set and then calculated in that its way more interesting than Treasure ex which is the only set under $50 right now. And that was good enough for me to preorder
This did help. Been thinking whether now is the time to buy or buy more of 151. Was leaning 151 but you just put the nial in the coffin. Thank you sir.
In my honest opinion is a market manipulation, because people buy what is trending or what they consider is trending, and they pump it up and create a great Hype even though is not good
Answer to the first 5 seconds is not really. Do the same as every other set, buy a case or two and move on. Unless you're truly in the game to be buying and selling for a small loss or very small profit. Volume is how millions are made, not hopes and dreams
The reality is, we all want to be investors, but we're all just collectors. Brian here is a retailer basically. Definitely not a reseller and 100% not an investor. He's a store. No customers, no money. The "investments" he has will be nearly negative returns across the board trying to sell all that as a regular dude like us. Why? Because eBay lol. Man is a whole Pokemon shop. Don't trip. You all have hopes and dreams but aren't putting in the work or risk to move massive amounts of volume like he does. The reality is, none of us have the money, motivation, or house space (if you even have a house) to do so. So we buy a box or two, a case or two, and we move on and wait 15 years. That's what a collector does who doesn't have thousands of profit worthy cards/boxes to try and multiply over months of work. It all depends on your risk level and if you got at least 50k to start up a legit Pokemon shop, which is probably a terrible idea anyways. BUT you COULD make it like him... And even if you could, doesn't mean you're going to enjoy the life sucking process of packing boxes all day. You do you. I'll have to stick to my ebay envelope/ground advantage shipping of every single card I pull that I don't want and keeping everything I REALLY actually want to open SEALED lol. There isn't any steady profit for us, unless you're just God himself pulling all the good cards and being right on every set every time.
So if I preorder w you at $50 and it goes up to $90, will you cancel my preorder? Is that how most places will do? If it goes up a little more every seller will cancel to make the higher prices?
So there’s a contradiction in the video. You say the seller is not responsible for committing to the preorder if prices go up but if the price goes down they demand the buyer commit to so agreement. Please explain how this makes any sense. If I lock in pre orders the seller should be obligated to fulfill that order. By that I mean I shouldn’t see the same product on their website the following week for $30 more a box.
lol the whole point of me mentioning this concept isn’t because it makes sense, or because it’s fair, I mentioned it because it’s true. If you don’t know how this works yet, consider yourself lucky
Hi, i am an Aussie and i have to say i have pre ordered on the secondary market 3 Pokemon Centre ETB for the promo mainly and i would be pissed if the person cancelled my order because it was dearer when it comes out after holding my money for up to 5-6 weeks.. and if its a flop the buyer still wears it and you said why should the seller care.. you pay early as you say to hold those boxes.. higher price or not on release you should get those boxes.. i would leave negative feedback and not buy from them again. Ha Ha.. but hey, you have a great day and i like your channel so i will subscribe just not sure i agree with that bit you said. Cheers.
Good advice. In my opinion, if you are an investor you should steer clear of Japanese cards and only buy English cards. They hold their value better and are not as volatile.
I think you talk a little too aggressive. You seem very bearish, in a lot of the videos I’ve seen you in. Bias because you own a store that makes majority of your money on consistent inflow of orders. People that “invest” “hoard” are dead clients for you. You need clients that open packs on a consistent bases. You’re trying to convert people that invest into pokemon into non-investor. But there’s always 2 sides to a market like this. So don’t feel too bad. You help the market flow.
i don’t even know where to begin. all products, sealed, singles, graded, sell daily. hundreds of thousands. every single day. this is the smallest corner of the market. he’s giving his insight and knowledge for free to try to save you money, quite literally telling you not to preorder this if you are trying to flip it, because you’d waste your money on a preorder. all of this knowledge for free, and you’re criticizing? biased?? more like: knowledgeable because he’s been doing this ??? christ. you don’t agree with his opinions yet you keep choosing to watch the videos and commenting this garbage for… what exactly? to be annoying? but don’t feel too bad you’ll stop being a nuisance one day.
hol' up? am i being accused of purposely NOT encouraging investing in a way to build my business? Maybe i read this wrong but this is a whole new level of conspiracy lol

You can preorder from Pokémon center for $37/box. Highly doubt there will be supply issues. You don’t need to pay 50/box for an unknown preorder.
how to order when you live in usa
@@shamsman21 With a proxy adresse. And if you want to know how to do it then there a bunch of youtuber that explains step by step how to do it.
@@alextias3410 shipping and customs still make it 50 a box, there is a max of 5 boxes per person so you cant get 10+boxes to lower expenses per box..
FYI for those with a proxy address, the pre order at the japanese pokemon center is up
How does that work? Whats the best way to order from Japan?
@@elyorsch8931 Pokemonsta TCG did a good video on it.

Thanks for the insight! I did preorder some of my local group but only because getting Japanese cards in my area isn’t easy unless it’s online.
What I did was look at the market price of every high class set and then calculated in that its way more interesting than Treasure ex which is the only set under $50 right now. And that was good enough for me to preorder

DCA to scale into sets and to scale out of them. This way, you will get the bet possible average price.

I can see some market manipulation with surging sparks but if the hype for this eve set is t real idk what is
Without a vendor from
Japan what are some relatable sites or resources to get Japanese booster boxes near or on release?
PokeNE.com 👌
NOTE- My pre order was for Surging Sparks.. but the way it was said, still applies. Thanks.
glad i saw this video , i was pondering about taking a case for 1800$ cad , you probably saved me an headache!!!
Love how you low-key kind of explained call option lol
Will there be any promo card for pre order ?
Good talk/advice brother 👍
Thanks so much!!❤

Not how I’d do it- and not necessarily what would happen elsewhere either. But yes, it absolutely does happen. Frequently
This was super helpful, thank you.
That is the Reason that I love purchase japanese cards
Still think we shouldn't pre-order?
How do I get cases from you in English early dude? I need to lock in X price because I know you’re not shady.
we always have them for pre-order a couple months before release at PokeNe.com ... thx!
You NEED to? lmao.....

Good advice since 99.99% of people watching this do not buy directly from Japan, and do not have the experience that Brian has.
From what i heard from my supplier, this set is going to be printed into the ground.
Sensible take in a world of fomo. These will open at 50-65 plus in the UK is my take

Hard to say if u should clear it all but going forward, English is probably the better move. Japan has been wacky
