Literally no one is using electric trucks with semi-trailers,electric trucks which covered ,,80 mil" are short haul trucks and city trucks. I am driving for 9 yrs now, i drive acros Europe's highways and cities and i have never seen electric truck on highway, only in 4 cities i whole europe which were garbage trucks. Electric trucks only can stay alive in cities (only garbage trzcks ). You have never uploaded how many km of road diesel trucks covered, that is imposible to count. Car Batery recovery proces polute like an diesel car driven 12 yrs , that is true experiment has been done. You have to make chargers for trucks which can fill the battery in 15 mins (imposible) and you have to make 100 times more chargers bcs e truck cant drive more than 300km, that means a lot of wait time for free charger. There isnt that much electricity for that fast chargers especilly in Balkan where everything is 10 years late (technology and economy). Lithium mining polutes very very much, it makes rivers to turn in red color, i won't talk about atmosfere polution... Electric vehcles cant least long, especilly e truck, thats maketing's dream but that can get alive.

We all know that we need to find alternatives to diesel, electric trucks being one of them. However, all new technologies are developed over time. There are already plenty of possibilities to use electric trucks on shorter routes that only require overnight charging at the home depot, then the charging time is no problem. As a network of fast chargers is built out, electric trucks can perform increasingly longer transport tasks. The development of batteries will also improve rapidly in the near future.

@@volvotrucks Nobody has ever said about how mining lithium polute (Rio Tinto company and others) water and atmosfere and how rebulding ( recycling) process of batteries polutes and how getting electricity in south-eastern europe polutes atmosfere with thermielectranas. It is very easy to say that some problem will be solved in near future. Batteries with more and more chargings especilly fast charging. When obly ONE cell in whole battery is damaged , mechanics will force you to buy a new one ( you CAN change that one cell in croatia there is only workshop you can do tthat and its very simple, but no one now and in near future isnt going to do that). Why?-Because everythung about electricity is about getting money for big corporatons. Youe diesel trucks which i drive volvo fh 500 2024, aboslute great truck, that truck polute less than an e truck-getting lithium, getting electricity, recycling battery and a way more bigger cost for new batteries and fast charging. Dont forget that this trucks nowday have AdBlue...The main theme i talked about is long haul where diesel is better, also i drive diesel so i can tell you situation direct from terein.
