It's amazing we have literally the same taste in bikes, the Monster 696 was my 2nd bike after I learned how to ride on an old 70s yamaha, after the Monster i wanted cooler styling and more power and went with the Streetfighter 848 as I got bit by that Ducati bug. I was close to selling my SF848 this fall and getting a Monster 1100 as I missed the riding style and height of the Monster but decided to keep the SF instead. I had the same thought regarding those 2 bikes about heavy clutch, not liking low speed...great video. love the 959 and great insight on owning it day to day.
Great video, don’t know about the two minute intro, nor you taking 4:40 to get to your main point... a little more editing and focus would elevate your output. Thanks for sharing about the bike, has long been on my hit list
Loved the video brother.🤗 I hope the channel grows🤗 My "city" bike is a Ducati Diavel, my special girl is my panigale 1199😎 Oh and my other love is my ferrari spider ...manual🥰 Got to love the Italians👌
Cant agree that my 2015 1299 Panigale is a good "daily" motorcycle. Its a fixed-purpose corner carver which happens to be comfortable. However it is like trying to tame a lion at city speeds. It wants to GO and stay that way.
I feel that for sure. The 959 is a bit easier around town, though I’m blown away how much the panigale settles into It’s own once you take It to stretch it’s legs. I’m sure the 1299 is unbelievable
@@ZachChmael I'm about 6'3-4, slim fit. My feet were fine with levers when I sat on the 959, but I'm still contemplating whether it's too small or not. I haven't ridden one, but I was okay on BMW 1000rr (which seems slightly bigger, but I'm not sure). I never owned a sports bike before. What's your opinion on this? Thanks for the reply. I appreciate it.
@@Ещёодинрусский the 959 definitely felt lower to me that my Streetfighter and Monster 1100 I owned, but It never felt ‘too small’ by any means. I’m not sure what bike you’re coming from but the riding position will likely feel more tucked and compressed, which is less comfortable for long rides but definitely gives you a ton of feel and control over the bike. I’ve ridden an S1000rr and it’s bigger and a bit more comfortable, but I still always found myself wanting to be back on the Ducati
Ugh. I'm having such a hard time choosing between this and the monster. Tell me this, is the monster still pretty quick. Obviously not as much as the panigale. But will it still satisfy. Rough estimate of 0-60 maybe?
@@ZachChmael just the new 2021 monster. It's 937 cc. Im really digging it just because of that stock aviator grey tbh. They don't make 1200's in that color (obv could paint but eh).
@@quicksilver1752 The monster is a quick bike around town that's for sure. Easier to just throw a leg over and go have fun. I've only ridden the the 1200S and older 1100 evo, but those both were great bikes and definitely felt fast. I'd imagine the new monster will be quick as well (though I think it's ugly imo). The monster's don't give you the same sense of speed you get with the Panigale in the higher rpms, this bike just pulls harder and harder the faster you go. But I definitely don't think you can go wrong with a monster, awesome bikes.
torn between this and an r6, I absolutely love the ducati in every way, but i know the r6 is good too. Can you tell me more about the ducati power wise? as in does it pull hard like a 1000cc, would I get tired of it? etc
Yeah man It definitely pulls hard, especially the faster you go and the higher rpms. I definitely don't think this is a bike you'd get tired of. It's very powerful, but also just so dialed in and precise making It a really fun bike to ride
I've never liked Ducati's except for the looks. Their engines need more cc's to compete with Japanese bikes in the same class, they're less reliable, parts are more expensive and the riding positions are uncomfortable.
To each their own. I don’t think It’s all about cc’s. I’ve ridden objectively faster bikes, but they don’t give you the same feeling that Ducati’s do. That being said, I definitely understand why people would prefer Japanese bikes
@@ZachChmael I wasn't totally fair in my assessment. The 749 that I once rode was probably the best handling bike I ever threw a leg over and it would have been the perfect track bike. And it wasn't even the R model. But I honestly didn't like anything else about it (except for the beautiful looks) and my friend who owned it always had problems with it.
Loved the video except you mentioned putting your girl on the back and hitting the bars!!!! Yeah... not sure drinking goes well with riding a motorcycle unless you like gambling with your life.
@@ZachChmael Sounds good. I've been looking to maybe get a new bike. I was either looking to upgrade my Street Triple R with the 2021 model or the 959. Different bikes for sure. I wanted something that was easy to do my own maintenance on. Is the Ducati fairly easy to work on yourself or do you take it to the shop for oil changes etc?
@@redm3red The Ducati is fairly easy to work on yourself if you've got the tools and patience. Definitely going to be a big change from your street triple r (also a great bike) but mainly just in terms of how It rides. The newer gens of Ducati's are fairly reliable. I thought the 959 almost didnt have enough flaws when I first got It since I'm coming from older Ducati's haha
I'm a long time Ducati owner. Wow, what a dumb video. First you talk about running from the police. Are you a criminal? Then you show the burn-out lasting forever and likely on public property. The waste there is really stupid. The marks left on the walk-way are probably illegal. That music is way overdone. Conversation was ok.

one of the best videos about the 959

great video! bike looks awesome. im living the naked life with a 13 FZ8

so V2 is a better and modern 959?
Depends on personal preference... I prefer the looks of the 959 over the V2, but no doubt It has some upgrades over the 959
