For slow speed maneuvers, the biggest thing that got me to trust the lean on the bike was when I realized that it's all about throttle and clutch control. i keep the throttle at like 10% (constant throttle, not blipping it) and feather the clutch. if i feel like the bike is leaned too far over, i let the clutch out. if it's not leaning enough, i pull it in. if the bonnie feels that smooth to you, try doing this on that bike. you're doing great!
I agree with you on the smoothness of the Bonneville. I have a 2009 T100 and absolutely love it. If you’re not planning on doing a lot of modifications, a BoosterPlug will get rid of the throttle snatchiness. I added one this year and wish I had done it sooner.
Nice! I have been watching your videos lately, I am also new to moto so it's a new world for me to learn. I used to race road bicycles and mountain bikes but riding a moto is gonna be fun and challenging. I am thinking of getting a neo retro cafe bike like the XSR700 but that T100 is super cool and it seems you are having so much fun and confidence riding the T100. I'm gonna take the MSF class soon and super excited to ride a cafe motorcycle. Great job and keep it up!
Yay! I could watch you enjoy the Bonnie all day! I'm riding mine into work tomorrow to give the ninja a break. Keep treating her right and she'll take care of you too. I love your satisfaction and comfort.
Love the Bonneville....always have. Traded my L6 GSXR1000 last September for one. Best thing I ever did. She's a kitten compared to the Gixxer. The more you ride it, the more you'll love it though. Hope you still own yours! ☺
I rented a t100 for a day and I wish I'd love it more.... I'm too tall and it hurt like hell by the end of the day. Had I been smaller I'd have bought it. I love the looks and engine.
That is a stunning bike, one of a kind. Previous owner did an awesome job with it, I wouldn’t change a thing. I once rode a Thruxton & was very impressed, so smooth & a blast to ride. Your bike is definitely a keeper!
I think this bike is perfect! This could be a forever bike for you (if you don't move up to the t120 😏). Its lot easier to turn if in 3rd gear or higher usually because throttle is typically less jerky and easier to maintain speed through corner, like that on most bikes I've rode anyways. Lovely bike, 👌 awesome.
The problem with the Thruxton you had was the handlebars were moved from stock. They were rotated over 90 deg forward and downwards giving a much more aggressive riding position. With them being forward and down, they would be a stretch given your height. Normal position is similar to the bonnie with half the height bend. Early Thruxtons had clipons that were even more aggressive but they discontinued to make more comfortable for all.
We've all been there at one point or another and you're doing great Jackie!. Just keep riding her as much as you can and you'll be a pro in no time! Nice save by the way! As long as the bike doesnt actually touch the ground you get a pass. 😍
Holy bajeez! That is the most beautiful bike ever. I've seen the other videos but now that the windshield is gone it is crazy how nice looking! I'd be nervous on that thing too 🤣🤣🤘💪 enjoy the wind Jackie!!
When turn if u turn your head all the way in the direction u are turning u will find the bike will go easily. If that makes sense. I love the new bike. I hope u keep this one.
3:19 sweet trick Jon! I need to try that on my bike. Although may not work as well on the 48 as it leans so far. I had to rewind it and say “did he just hop off with the stand down?!” Next level.
I’m looking into the bonneville myself, I have the thruxton currently and I love the look and feel but the the sitting position ain’t for me sadly and I agree about the turns it’s tough when going in slower.
So when you came into that parking spot. Be very careful with using the front brake if the wheels are turned.. parking on a turn like that use the rear brake instead and your clutch control, stay away from the front brake in a turn, bad things can happen, if you have to brake while turning, trail brake with the rear brake first until you can bring you bring the bike up and wheel straight
Love your Bonneville! Looks like you handle it really well and it fits you nicely! How tall are you? My husband swears I will love this bike. I ride a Honda Shadow now and I love being able to flat foot it and I’m 5’5”.
Jackie, the Bike is nice, but since you are new at riding, you should keep the Bike, but get a smaller, lighter Bike to learn on like Rebel 250 or 500. Cheap and much easier to ride until you get more experience.
When you are turning at low speed (like at the parking spot when u turned in) do not use the front break and turn the bars. Use the rear break. The front break with the bars turned will drop u. It’s the opposite for higher speeds, I try not to touch the rear break on higher speed turns but just barley and I mean barley front break if I go in too quick and forget to down shift. Look up Jerry pallidino ride like a pro channel it will improve your skill set , it has helped me a lot
That was a great video but I could have done without the guy with you showing off with wheelies. LOL Your posture looked great on it and the bike seemed to fit you well. We already knew you would look super cute on it so that is a given... Haha
I heard my name while commenting!! 😂 I really wanna ride a Triumph one day. But for now my FXDLS will have to do. Go practice slow speed maneuvers, u-turns and full lock turns from a stop. It won't take long to get it down, might drop the bike a few times, but clutch control is key. Still can't figure out why you hold the triumph throttles so far to the end 😂 just odd! Try and keep your hands to the inside of the grips and even on both sides. Also, NEVER pull the front brake when turning slowly, definite way to send the bike right to the ground, only rear brake till the bars are straight. ☺
Please excuse my silliness. I have six kids and have been stuck at home waaaaay too long. 🥴😅
Just wait till they become teenagers. 😨

You guys are the best riding duo you got jon being a hooligan doing wheelies and you just cruising at your speed taking a sunday drive. Love it

Gorgeous bike, glad you are loving it. Few things feel better than finding a bike that just fits us and speaks to us
I like the songs you make up while you're riding. Keep up the content ( from a fellow Bonneville owner ).

It is even better than I imagined!! Can't wait to ride again!

Triumph did a great job with the modern classics. Really glad you love this one.
I learned how to ride on a 2014 T100. They are awesome bikes.
That's amazing!! They really are.
I rented a t100 for a day and I wish I'd love it more.... I'm too tall and it hurt like hell by the end of the day.
Had I been smaller I'd have bought it. I love the looks and engine.
I said it in Jon's vid. That paint job is wonderful, matching fenders too.
Super.
Yes! They did a great job!

The T100 is a very well balanced bike, makes riding it very easy.

Triumph has always been known for excellent handling. It's a nice looking bike, enjoy
"Ughhhhh, I almost dropped my bike!" LOL. ALMOST is a good thing.
😱 Thank goodness!!
Love Triumphs too! I got my Speed Triple beginning of this year and love it so far.
They are amazing bikes!! Thanks for the support!
Your audio sounds perfect. Love your riding. Keep having fun out there.
Thanks for the support!!!

I wouldn’t trade my Thruxton for anything, but I have to say... my 2nd bike may very well have to be a Bonneville. Sweet looking ride.
I’m looking into the bonneville myself, I have the thruxton currently and I love the look and feel but the the sitting position ain’t for me sadly and I agree about the turns it’s tough when going in slower.
That's a sharp looking bike. The color scheme reminds me of the old AMF Harleys. Very cool.
They did a phenomenal job on the paint job!!
Looks like an homage to Steve McQueen. He loved his Triumphs.
@@LARGO125 you got it! That is exactly what they did.
It's such a nice beautiful comfortable bike!

Dang now I have to do go and ride one😆 never been on one just HD Dyna superglide and street Bob softtail. Can't wait to see 2nd part.
Slow speed is the hardest 💯
Love the paint scheme! We want to add a triumph to our garage at some point.
After riding the bonnie, where would you place it in your lineup for beginner bikes compared to the others?
LOVE that paint job!! What is it called?
Love your Bonneville! Looks like you handle it really well and it fits you nicely! How tall are you? My husband swears I will love this bike. I ride a Honda Shadow now and I love being able to flat foot it and I’m 5’5”.
Nice! Looks like you had a blast
How's the seat height on the Bonneville? How tall are you and how comfortable is the seat height?
I am 5'5 and the height is very comfortable!!
bike looks great!
Thank you!

So does the T100 take the place of the 883 for your favorite bike?
I don't know if I could pick one over the other!! I'll have to do a comparison video.

Hi Jackie nice stuff nice bike great ride 👍✌
Thank you!
Careful with the front brake and handlebars that aren’t straight.
Practice turning at full lock and taking off at full lock, it helps with the stiffness.
Gorgeous. You got better taste in bikes than John ;)
Looks like you are starting to get comfortable.......
Gorgeous bike!!! 😍 You've chosen wisely. 😎 Seriously, is there even a downside with this one?
👨👩👧 ❤ -David, Elizabeth, and little Jessica
Thank you!! I have yet to find the downside!
How long have you been riding?
I started in January. It's been a slow progression since I can't go out every day or even every week.
I'm shocked! 🤣
Hahah I was too!!
You should just move into Target, your always going there 😄
It was totally Jon's idea this time!! 😂😂😂
Jackie's Moto Garage 😆
What year is your Bonnie?
Lean the bike by pressing to counter steer, don't consciously lean your body, the bike leans and you stayed aligned with the bike.
Do u have. The go pro 7black I got one
Be more confident, its obvious you have it! Also love the butt rock tone at 10:27 lol
Have John do that on his channel, he is distracting me when I want to listen and watch you ride.
Remove the grab bar , it will look even more stylish
That bike looks great on you. Lol
I'm first!
Watch a moto gp technique vid, it will help you turn and brake better.
Thank you for the tip!!
Your man is such a bad example for motorcycling, let him do his trick on a track not on the streets. Nice bike that bonnie
Take that rack thing off the back of it and it will be absolutely beautiful.
Nope, Dont like it. Where is your sporty. lol
😂😂😂 I'll be bringing the Sporty out again soon! She's sitting in the garage feeling neglected.
Your videos are being polluted with joe Biden ads
So tired of all the political ads 🤦🏼♀️. Thank you for watching though!
