Just back in 2007 you could get an omega for that price. My family bought a date just for around £1500:and they said rolex was on sale back in those days
Considering he bought it in 1973, exactly 50 years ago, no chance he's keeping it. Since he kept it in prestine condition, he'd probably want to give it to someone who'd take care of it the same way that he did. If he passed it on as an heirloom, family might've just pawned it. Pawnshop then sells it to an average joe. Not a good legacy for the watch.
That's about a grand in today's money, maybe a little more. You can't even buy a Swiss mechanical chronograph for that today, let alone an omega, let alone a gold case.
I have a speedmaster mk40 that was gifted by Michael to one of his mechanics. Bet you would appreciate that piece Nico, especially as you're driving a Ferrari.
This is me, I like to not throw away all of the things and when I pass it down or look back on it I still and would be proud that I had the original box and booklet
The prices on Pride and Pinion are absurdly high. I suggest you all get with the times. For instance, you all are asking about $120,000 for a Rolex Day Date reference 228239 while this same watch is $66,900 new on Crono24. C'mon man
Original box with watch inside sealed in plastic, never opened, never worn. Only problem is you can never open it to see if the watch is really inside....Priceless.
This man managed to keep everything like the box, original pushers, all the passers and receipts but somehow today people can’t manage to keep atleast the box and papers with a new Rolex

I don’t understand the fascination with most of these really pricy watches. Most of them literally look like something you’d buy at a gas station but cost 10s of thousands. I will concede Jacob and co watches are really cool though.
My father has passed away and he had an Omega seamaster 200m Banana, it was completely worn out. i have let it resored but the bezel is broken, do you know maybe where to get one?
I just love when shorts ask a question they don't answer.
There’s no question mark, so I guess it’s just a weird statement lol
it's intentional but i'm sure you know that
How much was the watch sold for or how much is it worth?
Well, when someone asks a question, they don’t typically answer it too..💀💀💀
so many pointless shorts
My wife calls me weird because I keep “full sets” to everything I buy.
Time for divorce my man 😂😂😂

$ 7,250
Man, that feels really cheap for this
@@demirhanakdemir8883that is cheap
I would have paid $10k
My father paid $700 for a 1803 day date in 1971, he still has the receipt and full box, papers, books etc.
Thank you @NicoLeonard for landing this sale for me! I am sure the new owner will enjoy it a lot! What a piece!
Adjusted for inflation that would be $1240 in today’s money. Good luck getting an Omega for that now.
In gold?? Double take.
Just back in 2007 you could get an omega for that price. My family bought a date just for around £1500:and they said rolex was on sale back in those days
Omega doubled down on the James Bond advertising and took the cost out on the customers
Eh seen speedmasters for 1500-2000 so it's possible preworn
gas was 30 cents
Beautiful watch. Kinda sad that the original owner sold it.
He probably passed away and his family sold it

You can buy a really classy Tissot chrono for quite a bit less than that
Just bought a Quartz Omega Sea Master for 900,
I've seen the non moon speedmasters going for 1500-2000 on eBay. Which isn't bad for an omega auto chronograph
I’m checking out Pride and Pinion watches now, Nico, you have inspired me and educated me on watches and I am grateful for that!

What did you sell it for?
My guess 3,000
I love how his nose hairs blend with his mustache. I wonder if it adds flavor to food or a kiss, or if he will ever braid it.
This is me, I like to not throw away all of the things and when I pass it down or look back on it I still and would be proud that I had the original box and booklet
Shoutout Oklahoma baby!!! Love it!
I love those “simple” style of watches.
It’s like clicking on a tutorial
Just to be shown the finished product
Kept everything pristine. Except the box and the book.
Smart man, even kept the original parts
I love when shorts mention my state of Oklahoma. Idk why, just feels like a somewhat rare find.
"Kept everything pristine".
Box looks like it's been drop kicked.
Allow me to type for you the start of the song of my people: OOOOOOOOOOO-KLAHOMA!
As an okie I’ll do the next line
“Where the wind comes sweepin down the plains”
I'm kind of sad the watch wasn't passed down to someone special in his family. The sad thing is that many family members don't care about watches.

We have different definitions of the word "pristine"
Awesome find tho
Nice to see you excited about an Omega for once 😂
Cool story. How about some close ups of the watch.
I didn't think Nico had any regards for Omega.
Has always been in the would buy class.
Nico cares about history and status of the watch just as much, if not more, than the looks of said watch
Great sale. I have to check with Maksud, and CRM. Thank You. Patch Brennan
This is the first short of nico that i’ve watched that he hasn’t sweared 💀
$1300 in today’s money. Shows how much these brands with history can mark up their products.
This man managed to keep everything like the box, original pushers, all the passers and receipts but somehow today people can’t manage to keep atleast the box and papers with a new Rolex
This just exemplifies corporate greed.
He should give one to everyone in OKC🤣 a man can dream
They sold it for 16 bucks, a twinky and an apple. You're welcome.
wait fr?
The best part is when he says the price
Lol nico punched the man’s throat
Talking about vintage: I’m currently wearing my grandfather’s 1937 vintage Omega.
I hope you didn't pay too much for it. Having been in Oklahoma means its value has been cut at least by half.

You have to love omega
How much did you sell it for
How much did u sell it for silly goose?
What’s your opinion on Shinola watches? Does anyone in the comments know? Just curious
Box looks like it was kept in a glovebox of the family car
Considering it's 50 years old, it's in pretty reasonable shape.
$185 in 1973? [Checks inflation calculator]
Man, I wish I could buy a gold Omega chronograph for $1300 lol
was it purchased from B.C. Clark?
My father has passed away and he had an Omega seamaster 200m Banana, it was completely worn out. i have let it resored but the bezel is broken, do you know maybe where to get one?

Just show's how crazy the price's are how much in today's money is 175 dollars?
$1200ish lol
And we blame inflation for the economy..

Nico How much you sold the watch for it
How to beat inflation, he paid 185$ in 1973, now it would be around 1200$. What.
That's about $1,200.00 today. Youre welcome
Finally 😂 some #profit beside eating USA 🇺🇸 burgers 🍔

I want to know how many x's more it was sold for. Or, you know, just how much they sold it for.

what kind of watch is that? looks like a vincero
