I LOVE YOU GUYS !! Thank you for being a great Sport ❤
You can see a proper salesman kick in when that lady came in about the noise, no wonder you run a very successful company lol
This comment is too loud. I’ve clients in here and your keyboard is booming. You’re the nuisance. You’re making the noise. You have to do something about this
What about Tissot?
We all need to donate our used egg boxes to the place next door . Lets assist with their soundproofing 😂😂
Nico, it would be awesome if you guys took request from sub's about which movie moments with watches we want identified!
Nico could film his videos in Antarctica and still get noise complaints😂😂
He would be better filming in his home.
Nico the walrus.
“You are the nuisance” that done me in 😂
@@ewolmullac6706 that got me as well 😂
We need a Brian Blessed watch collection video 🤣🤣
This is not poor enough. We need Nico to do an Aliexpress collection.
That will prolly be full of SKMEIs 😂
I have a few of those. 😅
Mostly used as props.
Tbf San Martin aren’t all too bad value for money
Bro offended gender and living standards😂
Pagani Design. Better than Seiko or Citizen tbh.....
Citizen saved my life! Was swimming and diving in to a river. I come up from the bottom and climbed out to dive in again and was covered in blood, pouring out from my wrist and forearm. Had hit a broken bottle. The strap on the Citizen watch has a big gouge out of it right about where the main veins run. If I had not been wearing the watch that day I believe I would have been in serious trouble as no doubt the veins would have been torn to shreds! So Citizen watches have a place in my heart since that day. Was very lucky!
I always see incredible stories people have about their connections to certain watch brands. I love hearing them. Never thought a watch could save a life
That's a great story! You should actually send that to Citizen. I'm sure some people there would be happy to hear that their creation helped save someones life.
@@Ahad-bj1cz Every-time I go swimming/surfing I wear the same watch for good luck despite it being battered after some thirty years of owning it. I'm sure someone at Citizen has seen the comment but maybe will post it on their Social Media. Could do with a new watch... :) Thank you for your comment!
My fiancée got me a Citizen Corso with Eco-Drive, second hand, for $75. It works perfectly, and looks perfect for the stuff I usually wear.
I wish it had a Sapphire Crystal face, but otherwise it's perfect.
Wow am shocked at how many likes this has!
“Ok guys, im going to start talking a little quieter” continues to talk just as loud as before 😂
Imagine talking to an important client after telling Nico to quite down and you just hear "I just love a hand painted pussy"
My poor man's watch collection:
Rotary Skeleton Automatic (Gold case, brown leather strap) £250
Seiko 5 Sports Automatic (Stainless case & bracelet) £195
CASIO Vintage W-218H (Black rubber case & strap) £25
Fossil Decker Chronograph (Stainless case & bracelet) £90. My first watch as an adult, which my gf (now wife) bought for me when were about 16 years old (now 32).
I love how Nico is just as stoked on a Timex as he is for a Rolex. Absolute genuine enthusiast right therr
I love that he can shit on a $800 Hublot but a $20 Casio F-91 is what he takes home that night lol
I seen a couple of Timex watches...where if you switched just the name and used a swiss watch name, you would believe it's a much more expensive swiss watch. And it had a quartz movement, so you know it's likely very accurate.
Timex had been in a roll as of late. Especially with their automatic lauches.
@@ThatGuyUpThere Ten years ago I had always seen Timex as the cheap, boring brand. But nowadays I have a Timex on my wrist almost every day. Absolutely fantastic products they are producing now.
Remember Timex watches from the early '60s. and memorable TV adverts. Didn't realise they were still about and making watches
I’m not poor! I’m underfunded.

Nico the Gordon Ramsey of hourology. Guaranteed not to hold back, love it😊
Nico, I just want to say I'm very impressed with the way you handled yourself with the noise complaint. I definitely wouldn't have handled it with the grace you did, my immediate thought would have been "I'm paying for the space the same as you are, I'll do whatever I want in my studio." Especially after their condescending tone calling you a nuisance.
Bravo for handling that with such class. Absolute legend man.
I love bringing old Seikos back to life, using as many original parts of the watch as possible, or using Seiko parts if I can’t. Great way to learn about the watch, and invest some of yourself in it too. Good watches are possible for under £200 ( just don’t count the tool costs…..)
Not sure if you would see this after nearly 700 comments, but thanks for genuinely inspiring me to start a watch collection
I'm 16 and started my first job at a high street jewelers about 2 and a half months ago. You got me into watches years ago, and after my first paycheck I decided to get a Seiko 5 sports SRPD55K1. On my second paycheck, I got a Casio tiffany Datejust since I saw it sitting in the window at the store and got it for £30 after my employee discount.
Anyways, I'm thinking of picking up the Rotary dress watch after my next paycheck with the bonus I'm getting to round off my 3 watch collection. I wouldn't have even started this collection if it wasn't for you so I just wanted to say thanks for everything ❤

Thank you Nico for making the watch world a better place. I am currently wearing a Garmin, which I love for heart rate and steps. I got a lot of Casios i wear sometimes. Videos like this make it feel like you’re talking to me.
I know your channel caters to the expensive and I can also say affordable. Yes I know there are some videos like that already posted, but this was a good episode thank you Nico.
I will continue to grow and learn so that that way I can one day be able to buy a watch from you.
Also, I like when you’re loud, just keep researching sound deadening. Have one of your crewmembers go to another room to see if they can hear you.
Love your comment, thank you so much for the support and kind words! Means allot!
I'm wearing a Margin. It's a Garmin knock off, but with a Tates Compass. As they say, he who has a Tates is lost.
If you want more accuracy in steps count and health stats, samsung galaxy watches starting from the galaxy 4 are probably a good bet. They can even use electric current to measure your muscle mass/body fat percentage.

Videos like this are more needed. I am new to the watch game and not rich enough to be blowing over £500 on a watch yet. The Timex Q Chronograph was the gateway into watches for me last year. I now have that and a Casio MTP-1302PD-2A2VEF... Love your videos and one day I will work my way up to some dream watches!
That Casio is litterly the best looking budget watch under 60 euros. I bought it this year and can't belive how good it is for the price.
I've had a weird change in watch collecting ,, I've been going for Tissots, Hamilton, Oris , the kind of affordable entry level , ive got an Omega and Tudor.
However I'm really into citizen divers , and Timex , they have changed recently and they are making some lovely looking watches, im wondering if the partnership with the UFC is bringing in money so they are spending more on design etc...
I never put Timex in my collection but I've bought one recently and will get a couple more
8:12 To be honest, I've have had a similar problem with a studio in the past.
As it turned out, the office next door, shared an old ventilation duct/channel that was covered up with drywall.
I know it's definitely not going to be the same... But, could be something similar.
Wow I was so surprised how Nico handled that, If you share a work space and/or (like me) work in a customer facing job then there's something that can be learned from this! In all honesty I would have told them to f-off especially how they were like "you're to problem you have to fix it". I have an abrasive personality which is a challenge when dealing with customer/coworkers but seeing how Nico defused the situation made me really think about how I should take such an approach to similar situations in life.

7:23 That neighbor can screw off. You're TALKING, you have your own business to run. They should have opened their business out in the countryside if they didnt want to hear a neighbors voices from time to time. Ridiculous entitlement.
Same goes for him. If he wants to shout then he should get an office where he’s not pissing off the neighbours
I`m late in the game. Just started the watch thing. First buy was a Victorinox Field Force with black leather strap. It`s rough, stylish and practical with time/date (I love time/date on watches, less checking the phone). Then I got a Casio G-shock GA2300 for work and gym (need something rough working at the psychiatric ward). From this video I just ordered the Timex Marlin Chronograph. I just loved the Cedar green on the brown leather straps. And then a Victorinox Alliance with metal bracelet. (I just really like the name Victorinox). Well, thats 4 watches to my 6 piece watch box, so almost done :)
Aye! Here’s my list for this category:
1. Seiko SNKL23 (Seiko Hodinkee) $80
2. Seiko SNXS series $75-90
3. Tissot Heritage quartz $190
4. Swatch May Black/Clear Water Chronograph $185
5. Casio Oak GShock GA-B2100 $140
6. Casio GShock G5600 $99
7. Citizen Promaster Automatic $180-200
8. Citizen Ecodrive Yellow AW1760 $150
9. Timex Indiglo (coz its not below $50 anymore)
10. Any casio digital metal watch
I would avoid Orient here… P.S. these are Jomashop Prices…
Is Jomashop a reliable website to buy from? I don’t know too much about the watch marketplace
@@Flashes20 Seems that they mostly purchase older models from manufacturers. It'd be considered a grey market, because it's new but not from a dealer. I'm assuming they aren't authorized dealers, idk. I bought a Tissot Powermatic 80 chronometer from them for half of retail price and ended up selling it for a little more than what I bought it for. Seems reliable in my experience.
I'm not a fan of quartz movements, but the Eco drive by citizen is cool. An eco drive was my first watch, then Tissot Powermatic 80. I've had friends looking for watches and wanted to get MVNT but talked them into Citizen because for the same price its better quality.
@@Flashes20 They are legit in that they sell real watches. As long as the watch you are buying is shown as "in stock", you will receive the watch. Watches that have a wait time are watches they need to source, which could take weeks to never but they keep your money while you wait. Their warranty is most likely worthless so if you have a problem, you're SOL. That being said, on some watches, you can buy from Joma, get it serviced from the brand paying out of pocket, and still save money when compared to buying it from an AD.
Casio Duro $50 👍
Hello, Nico!
My father’s was a watch collector, and because of him i start loving watches!
After he past away about two years ago, i sold all my watches.
After i start watching your channel about 1 month ago my passion for watches came back and i start once again my collection.
Thank you for that! Cheers!
A brand for consideration: REC - they typically make watches out of old cars, planes and motorbikes which is cool for people into that stuff (like me), but they also have recently started doing some cheaper watches which are inspired by motoring history - I have 2 of them and the quality is absolutely sublime for the money, I wore one as my wedding watch! Not an in house automatic mechanism, but lovely craftsmanship regardless in my opinion 🤙🏽
Orient Bambino, Orient Ray II Raven. I’ve owned both and got the Bambino (2nd gen II) new for £99 but that was 2015. Raven I got last year for around £180 and it’s a 200m dive watch. A lot of watch for the money with in house Japanese mechanical movements. No brainer. I also have a Citizen Eco Drive which I love for its understated simplicity, mid-century aesthetic and damn good accuracy - plus no need for batteries and £130.

- Casio Royale ($20)
- Timex Ironman Triathlon ($50)
- GShock 5600 ($50)

My dad got me a Seiko 5 for $75 in 2002. Now they're creeping up to 500 cdn. I gave up on expensive watches the year and decided to cultivate a taste for Casios and Timexes. I just ordered a white Casio Solar 220c and I couldn't be happier if that was a white Rolex Explorer 2.
Intelligent choice. I could easily afford the more expensive ones (not luxury ones), but what for?
Timex and Casio it is. Casio new G-Shock for training and Timex Marlin in different colors as everyday watches. What more does one need?
Was enjoying this video, and then it quickly ends with Nico saying saying the Casioak "glitch" thats on my wrist right now is nice, made my whole day lol.
As always the most thoughtful , well researched & eloquent watch channel around , keep *amzwatch* coming !
Crazy is that even a watch from this list is still expensive here in Brazil. The cheapest automatic Seiko is like R$ 1500 while the minimum wage is R$1400
Would love a video on affordable Swiss brands like Mido, certina, glycine, tissot, Hamilton ect. And a video on “POOR”micro brands like Islander and deep blue.
Citizen is a very underrated affordable brand
Funny in all my watches the one I get the most eyeballs on is my Casio. Its a MTP1302D-2A2V (Tiffany Casio) and even a few folks have said "Is that a rolex" lol. But most just say "Hey nice watch" . Love the everyday sub $200 watch that I can wear and not be afraid to scratch or damage.
Just picked one of those up yesterday. Definitely worth the pocket change.
Bruh it's 40 dollars what are you talking about, mine gets the same reaction but it's a lot less than what you paid for😂

The Bulova Precisionist is on sale quite often under $200 and is a great watch for that price.
Definitely. Picked up one on sale on Amazon for about $150. I didn't love the style; Though, it's grown me. The movement is so wild. Putting it up to your ear, inside sounds like there's a nano-battlefield, from feudal times...in fast-foward. Relentlessly raging! Bulova put the movement in new models recently retailing around $1,000USD. 🫠
I bought this watch on sale for under $100 on Amazon about 3 years ago.

My citizen titanium metal strap ecodrive with sapphire glass is the best watch i have ever purchased. I wear it everyday to work 4 years now.
Of you are a working man in the machineshop, welding or building houses this watch has seen everything and still hasn’t a scratch in the glass. the case and strap are still in great condition.
Compared to all the watches i have or had citizen is my first choise for elegance and super strong non maintenance watch
I'm planning on buying my first watch in the new year, as a belated congratulations to myself for making it into uni. I've been looking at the Timex Marlin Chronograph, prior to you showing it in this video (3:13), and I was pretty much convinced. But, having a "Nico somewhat seal of approval" has made me feel a lot more confident in my choice.
Also, tip for the soundproofing, you said you're in a noise isolating room, however, you appear to be sitting in front of a completely blank wall. If there's no soundproofing on that wall, all the sound will be reflected straight through it, and could even be amplified in some cases. I'd recommend looking into soundproofing it with the soundproofing solutions you see in "productive home office setup tours" (I don't know the exact name (They're are just thin strips of wood, with sound absorbing foam behind them (They come in panels))), as they would still look professional. You could even try to mount some modern looking shelves and put some watch cases on them.
Just a thought, hope you get better neighbors soon.
The only option is a second wall with an air gap between. So you get the same clean visual effect, just a few inches forward, but behind it, hidden, is a wall full of foam. And the back side of the wall behind you is then also foam. You lose maybe 8 inches to put in a second wall?
But really, your neighbors should not expect perfect silence in their cheap office.
I’m finishing in may after 3 long years good luck 🎉🎉🎉
The Marlin Chronograph is a beauty.
@@Executor009 My only complaint is that it would look much better without a date function. Watches simply don't need a date function any more as we all have cell phones and other devices to do it for us.

Just bought this swatch boreal few days ago as my first automatic watch. Not sure did he mention, but Orient has bunch of cool watches for less than 200€. I'm not huge on watches or know about them, but I have Orient Ray 2 which is automatic watch and overall looks great and has functioned well and I paid like 170 for it at the time. They also have some more simple leather styles like Bambino.

Citizen went cheap and fast fashion after they were bought
I wish you did more videos like these. Set a price point and cover several watches, instead of a collection list. Jay give us 5 to 10 watches between 2k-3k, 3k-4k, etc. this is a really informative list, I’m beyond this price point (outside of Casio) but I still learn a bit.

The fact that orient didn’t get a mention at all is outrageous. The kamasu is the best diver for under $200 and the bambino is insane for its price. Great dress watch that looks elegant
I love my tri star and I think at the time I picked it up on Amazon for 80, and my beater watch is a pro diver invicta which I know people hate but I get compliments by people wearing Rolex and omegas
As a part time watch lover and full time peasant I love my Casio GW-M5610 as it has multi band 6 which I think is mind blowing technology for a £100 watch

OMG! This video had me in stitches! Awesome way to start 2025 off with!
"You are the nuisance” lol "let me intruduce myself..." - what a gentleman. 👍
12:38 the rechargeable battery does last quite long, but I did have to change mine after about 12 years - it stopped holding a charge after having run completely down once. The repair, however, was less than one service of a mechanical watch, and you'd be hard pressed to have a non-rechargeable battery professionally changed four times at the price (with an average lifetime of three years). Also, newer batteries may last longer.
I've since kept the watch always under some kind of light during the day to avoid running the battery completely flat, even though my primary watch these days is an automatic. I'll see if I remember to report back in 2034...
Nicos general opinion on Bulova is known since the tier list, but I would honestly like to hear his opinion on the Lunar Pilot. As it is "the other Moonwatch" and highly praised by most watch RUclipsrs, I would like to hear what Nico thinks about it.
I just bought a Lunar Pilot. It’s actually a pretty nice watch. I probably would try to get it on the secondary market and save a few bucks.

There is no reason that person who came into your office should have made it that far into your office with out being stopped, like they should have not been able to get past the front desk (If that was real)
My first "proper" watch was a Bulova (despite Nico calling Bulova shite) and I initially thought it was pretty good for the price I paid (~£400), and it at least had a unique look to it that I liked and a nice bracelet clasp design. I then purchased a Seiko for around £500 while on holiday in Japan and... well, it really is night-and-day with the movements. My Bulova is rated for -20 to +40 seconds per day and I would say I was easily hitting that high-end, being 5+ minutes off each week or so, whereas my Seiko is solid to the point that I've only had to reset it once since owning it (5 months). What I can say for Bulova though, is that they do go for unique looks and the build quality isn't bad on the full-metal designs. So many "high-end" watches all look like carbon copies of each other and they're so dull!
Edit: When I purchased my Seiko in Japan, I could not find the SKU anywhere outside of Seiko's Japanese website, hence why I bought it. It now appears to be sold in the UK for a whopping £860, compared to the ~£500 I purchased it for (converting from Yen). It does kind of explain why the quality is a lot better (movement-wise) than my Bulova, which is half as much.
14:44 I bought this one on black friday, and the one thing ill say about it is depending on the angle the colours will either be Purple or green. Its really cool and my favorite watch ever

I know it’s over the price of today’s video but I picked up the Timex North Exhibition Automatic Titanium for just under $300. It has to be the best value in automatic field watches right now. The leather strap is very well done and the watch is incredibly light.
Citizen, Orient, Seiko. Absolute utility, and value for money.
Yall check specificaly the Orient Kamasu... Lovely piece with a saphire crystal!
I'd just like Nico to produce his own range of "poor people" watches😂

Haha I love that after my comment on your latest video where I said I can’t afford a Cartier and now right after my subscription THIS is the first video that comes up 😂😂
That's a good question man? The first brands that pop in my head, Casio, Timex, Seiko, & Orient.
Nico, as a paralyzed legless athlete, I seriously appreciated that joke about the person competing in the paralympics for watch design. That was fucking hilarious. It looks like it went over everyone's heads too, I see no comments about it. Edit: You prob meant special olympics, but hey, I still laughed. I offer my disability up for a joke anytime.

Hey Nico, I would certainly fall within this price bracket, but genuine poor folk wouldn't have £100s to spend on a watch so this is probably more working class. You mentioned copies and dupes a few times, I would relish a vid of dupes of the most expensive watches it would be hilarious to point out the differences and what they have actually pulled off, and would also be a treat for us 'poor' folks to faux have a nice watch. Oh, I caught the joke about ladies not paying for their own watches, not true, I went to the cinema the other day and I had to get the snacks as my date thought they were too expensive... So I'll be paying for my own watch thank you, and no I won't be seeing the bloke again either.
Citizen ecodrive. I have a tag , and a breitlin for special occasions. But my red arrows Citizen ecodrive!! Nico I wanna say thank you for these videos. Always have a great time watching. If you’re ever in the NE area of the states it would be an honor to meet you. Keep these videos coming.
Orient is the most underrated watch brand. Lower tier original Seagulls qualify too. They're not cheap but affordable. Auto mov't can be a deal-breaker for some of us tho.
In under 2 minutes you’ve managed to take a jab at both poor people and women, rather impressive I must say 😂
Edit: 7 minutes in and we can add obese people and Bulova Icon owners to the list 🤣
This comment made me crying of laughter 😂❤️
I love Nico’s videos, but he doesn’t really know watches, he knows expensive watches. This video kind of proved that. On a different note, can you imagine some important meeting going on next-door and Nico just screaming at the top of his lungs octopussy? 😂😂. Also, yes, swatches are still made in Switzerland.
Well.. sort of. The movements are, which is the important part. But the rest is all made elsewhere. But I suspect that that's true for even high-end brands. I don't think anyone makes their own Sappphire crystals in-house any more, or things like mainsprings or bracelets. But, yes, Swatch Group uses various ETA movements for the most part. Basically the Seiko of Switzerland in that they make movements you see in hundreds of different watches. Some better than others, but none are junk. I don't think ETA ever made their own watches, though - always parts for others.
My son just got his first watch at 14, a Tissot Seastar. Bit over the budget of £200 but it’s a pretty nice watch for that money. Keeps him away from my collection as well😂
This guy has the perfect blend of a Dutch and Northern Irish accent. I can listen to him all day.
Thank you for comments on Casio . I have couple watches worth thousands of dollars however I wear Casio almost everyday. I respect Casio brand. My Casio witnessed my childhood memories , my army time , my graduation . I believe everybody should have at least 3 Casio watches in their collections no matter what.
congrats on the kid!
Thanks man
Poor people don't collect watches, we collect bills
Good one Niko, however Orient and Vostok should've been included IMO
💯
Absolutely correct, Vostok do not get the recognition they deserve in my opinion. To be fair if he talked about them the prices online would shoot up far above what they are now which would be super sad.
I have an orient sun and moon and absolutely love it. Got it as a gift and wear it almost every day. I've had no issues with it and it's a sub $500 usd automatic watch.
I didn’t know I was into watches until I started watching this dude. Ty Nico. I have 2 on this list.
Well shit. I've had that Timex Chronograph on my wishlist for a while, hoping it'd go on sale. Now I'm just hoping it'll stay in stock lol
Got it for £134 last week. Go for it!
@user-es2fn1ki4v budget is tight, especially this time of year. I Can't justify spending nearly $200 on a slightlier fancy version of something I already have 2 cases full of lol. Especially when I have other hobbies that are even more expensive.
Finally a video for me.
200£ ? Ok this video is not for me.
Exactly bro
If it was somebody else, I'd shut down this video when understood that there will be no watches physically, but this guy is hilarious and even earned a like from me :D
As a peasant, im stoked for this
😂❤
For under $200 the watch collection I would do would be
Dive Watch
Invicta 1953 ~$100
One of the least expensive automatic watches that isn't a chinese brand. A brand with history and a homage watch of a famous rolex. 9h35 movement and comes in different color bezel variants. All look nice.
Casual all around watch
Casio a700w ~$30-55
Same iconic look as the famous f91w but modernized with better lume, thinner, and stylish bracelet options. Super sleek and retro. Comes in different variants
Dress and formal event watch
Sea-Gull any ~$60-70
Most are out of the price range but there is usually some Sea-Gull dress watch on sale at any given time. Automatic and a recognizable brand from china.
Nico, I am a woman, and i buy myself and my husband watches because I love watches. In my current collection i have cartier (1st lux watch i bought myself), timex marlin, Seiko SWR054, Orient Bambino. Do you have a collection list for women?
Where is your neck?
Neck is your where
Under the turtle
The Wu Tang Clan is looking after it for him
Don’t be like that🤷🏼♂️
😂😂😂 straight hater yooo
3:50 "you cannot buy a mechanical chronograph under a grand really"
Seagull 1963, mechanical chronograph, in- house movement, available under 300 USD
Nico “The Nuisance” Leonard 😂 great video! Cheers from across the pond!
I love that he’s so hyped about Casio. As a Genx’r , Casio has pretty much always been a go to for an affordable solidly built watch. Love em.
But then, I like Grand Seiko….my GMT is fking brilliant so……Nico still needs help.
I might have 2 suggestions for under 500£:
1) Japanese Orient has a decent quality range with the Kamasu and the Bambino
2) VINTAGE Watches: You can find Omega De ville and Longines for under 500 . (De ville is scarce at hat pricetag)
@NicoLeonard in case you didn’t know, majority of the Timex is made in Philippines in an island where I lived. Big factory and it’s been there for decades
