dont forget to ping my third skill is ready. Infernus will say Oh Im always lighting thingns on fire. Repeat this until your teammates says unholy things about your relatives.
As a recommendation, I’d say cut out exposure and boundless. Unstoppable/ inhib, rich/spiritual are really the core T4s on the hero imo. Living is your main goal on infernus, longer life is a longer burn. People like CARBATTERY and wulfee have also a significant amount of success buying reactive/metal skin almost if not every single game based on this principle. He’s a hyper carry, and I feel like that wasn’t really stressed a lot. Your goal as infernus isn’t to take fights and kill people implicitly, it’s being fed for the fight that decides the game and not dying during that fight. I’ve found great success with this as well in Ascendant and Phantom scrims/lobbies. Small other side note, the lane order could use some retuning. For instance, enduring spirit being your first item when you have your 3 and your 1. Your burn does 45 damage for a whole 4.5 healing from enduring. Try keeping items that rely on damage to later in lane. First items should be something, like ammo scav that requires time to build. The 24 SP it can give you puts your burn from 15 dps to 27 just as an example. Otherwise p good video
Hey, thank you so much for all the advice, especially things like stressing the heroes role in the late game harder. I did have reactive and metal in my counters section (metal being a core item at one point), but I always felt like it wasn't an automatic buy! I usually go with 3rd and second skill, so I figured enduring would add up overall in early lane, but it makes SO much more sense to get ammo scav first. I'll returne the build for sure!
I feel like napalm should have a built in improved burst effect IF they are already ignited or are in the flame dash aoe with explosive visuals to match lol
Great video. I have been playing infernus since I got invited around June. I agree with a lot of things in this video, but I personally like to rush flame dash tier three before anything for the cooldown reduction. It makes it so I can play objective and escape more frequently. I also agree ricochet is important to get after getting the damage established, but it makes it so you can clear camps and minions much faster, meaning you get into the lead sooner. Last thing, I stopped getting quick silver reload to instead get melee recharge. Like you said, a constant issue with infernus is running out of ammo, and I like doing a combo where I inflict burn/ empty clip, reload and flame dash with ult, and full charge melee right after they get stunned to double my ammo capacity, and then finish them. Ofc this game has so much you can do in builds so you can do whatever is to your liking. Once again great video
Do you feel like you're still doing some decent harass and kill confirms with flame dash maxed first? I've almost always went 3rd skill first so no real experience on FD first. I love the Melee Charge idea! I'll test this out for sure since we are already starved for spirit slots, Melee Charge also adds some much-needed movement.
@@keitaowl It depends on if I win my lane or not. If I am behind, which usually happens on duo lanes, I will go for flame dash first so I can constantly poke my enemy. Its kind of funny since Infernus has a voice line that indicates to the player to use flame dash for that purpose. The shorter cooldown makes it so I can often enter a fight with flame dash, do some damage, and if reinforcements show up, I can run away. Yeah try out the melee charge. Its a great combo and I often find myself getting melee charge before any other tier two item so I can never have down time on my ammo.
@@keitaowlDefinitely test more, I rush that item after toxic bullets. Such an immense power spike that enemies never expect, you can deal full health in dot damage on any hero without spirit resist. Falls off once they do buy some but still a huge help to snowball early
@@vitor9476 not quite, if the enemy has no spirit resist the escalating exposure sets the enemy spirit resist to negative, which is a huge direct damage multiplier. Otherwise it only shaves some spirit resist off, which is always useful but having even minimal resist is a LOT better than having no resist or negative resist, since the damage reduction isn't linear. A little spirit resist is a way bigger ehp improvement than a lot of spirit resist, if that makes sense.
First of all, great informative video! 2 things I don't agree with 100%: 1. not putting the 2nd upgrade on catalyst earlier. That 15% lifesteal saves me so many times, when getting ganked. Sometimes I even go 1st upgrade afterburn, 2nd upgrade catalyst, 3rd upgrade catalyst to rush this. For me, it works wonders usually. 2. Ricochet is not only for dealing damage to more enemy heroes. It's stats are not great, but good enough. And it helps you farm way faster. Because Infernus is not that great early with lackluster burst, he needs items to shine, and ricochet helps getting there. I'm not saying rush it every game, but there are scenarios where it is worth it. Again, great video, great guide ;)
I'd recommend buying extra charge just to skip the first skill point on catalyst. A early skill point is defo worth more than 500 souls. I defo agree with the ricochet take tho
yeah toxic bullet it's strong, but the core item for infernus it's soul shredder bullets. early dps and lifesteal helps a lot in lane, expecially if you don't go for regen or healing
@@keitaowl A couple weeks ago I made a build that goes for max duration with grey talon and I could perma stay in air with his 2nd ability WILD but that wasa few updates ago, I need to check if it still works.
I feel rico is more rushed so you can kill camps faster and get more scaling later more so than it being a great 1v1 item so yeah, have seen rico rushed for a lot of jungling and not doing a lot of fighting
Build ID: 151574 -- Thanks for the video, going to try your build out. I almost always get nuked in solo lane and it seems my build does things in the wrong order, even though it is similar.
i like rushing ricochet in average elo with a combo of active reload, toxic bullets, inhibitor, and knockdown. This way i can push lanes extremely fast and also be quite helpful with winning fights. i typicaly dont pick up leach and i just keep infuser with spirit lifesteal. I also just try to push objectives and i only really fight if i see someone who is easy to kill in some way. what do you think?
dont forget to ping my third skill is ready. Infernus will say Oh Im always lighting thingns on fire. Repeat this until your teammates says unholy things about your relatives.
Wtf I need to reupload the whole video now, this should have been tip number 1

you make one of the best guides out there, i love how informative you are! thanks now i might have to start maining Infernus :DDDD
Thank you so much :) Time for everyone to burn
this is the best Infernus guide I ever seen
Thank you so much :) I am glad you enjoyed it!

That would be such a nice effect but maybe a problem on the long run LOL

You're doing a great job with these guides. Keep up the good work. And don't forget to take breaks when you need them!
Hey thank you so much comments like these honestly make me so happy :) Double thanks for looking out for my burn out :)
Also might sound weird but ricochet *can* be good early if your team is playing passively and you're finding a lot of time to farm and split push
It is I am just always thinking about the fact it's 6k which is 5 other I,250 items or two 3ks it's a lot to give up imo
@@keitaowl yeah ricochet is so bad this patch, greedy builds are mega punished
I'm surprised you didn't mention escalating exposure. Seems like the perfect item to pair with his dot abilities and toxic bullets.
So I usually run it in the end game but over some testing it just doesn't seem to be worth the 6.2k souls. I should test more though!

Interesting idea actually I'll test some tonight :)
This is a question I ask myself from time to time
Did you finally become that Infernus main :)
I almost always use the ult defensively with diviner's kevlar, gives you a nice reset in the middle of a fight
I have had a lot of success using it to save myself too I should have put that in the video!

This video is THE SIGN.... I've only ever played Infernus twice and did badly :c
I'll try again because of your video! Thank you! Subscribed!
You are about to burn the enemy team down all game :) Thank you for the sub
Another great release by The Owl
Indeed it is! :)
Grey Talon next! Love your videos

@keitaowl on my way to buy tesla for the funny

do Abrams next :)
Hmm I am looking for next character!
