All about the tone....
People always say “that’s a great tone”. The science is to have a great base, but the main sound comes from your hands!
This little spur of the moment video of Monday’s noodling shows how the sound changes without changing anything but how I play it...
Little sloppy here and there it isn’t anything I worked out for you to hear this was just what I played off the cuff...
As the video says Criss Oliva once asked me if I always used so much gain. As a little kid and when I didn’t really know exactly how to create that cycle of sound I did need the gain. His sound was built from a clean amp. Words of wisdom Lloyd...words of wisdom!

You are so right tone comes from the hands.
I loved yours and Criss's playing on the savatage albums. And have tried for ages to emulate the savatage tone. Even paying a sound engineer for the tones, they were close but not quite there. Like my guitar teacher once said, you sound like you, you can't sound like anybody else. Take Care Christopher Caffery, keep on rockin' 🤘🤘
