Hands down, one of the best looking 2 door Jeeps I've seen on RUclips. You've done an awesome job on it man!! I think the g u n holster is my favorite thing.
One of the best looking Jeeps I’ve seen. Color combo is on point and love the way you have it setup. Just subbed, looking forward to watching more of your videos. Well done sir!
Man, I have to hand it to you, your videos are the most thorough and precise with very practical and useful information, it’s evident that you know plenty about the subject and you’re a natural in explaining things. Thanks for sharing.
Ram Mounts make a replacement center rearview mirror mount that adds a RAM ball below and in front of the windshield mirror. You just unscrew then unclip your old and mount the new one in the same location. You could then mount your GoPro there and it would be in area out of your view and recording from a spot that is cleared by your wipers if you film when its raining or for mud....
Have that same Uniden speaker, try mounting it on the left side sportbar that runs from the windshield frame to the main rollbar; used three wire ties on the speaker bracket securing to that side bar at the rear where it meets the rear bar, then ran the cord under the sport bar padding. I run with the doors off and top off on the highway withbmy loud mud terrains and needed that speaker closer to my ear. Speaker is never in my way and works great and is non-permanent.
magnetic CB mic mount .... who'd have thought it....genius i love it lol... i wish i had a nice place like that to mount my CB in my Tacoma instead of next to my leg
I’m a big fan of your videos right here in Costa Rica I myself have owned a TJ 97 for several years and just recently fell in love with after some upgrades keep up the good work brother
My GoPro has a swivel mount so I can record myself while driving or record the road depending on what I want, it helps if u don’t like mounting multiple mounts in different places
Will do! I think what I’m actually going to do is keep the tablet mounted on top of the dash and my phone on the lower mount. I trust the phone mount completely not to fall off. And with the tablet being mounted in that tray, it can never “fall off” so I think I’ll be fine keeping it up top.
UPDATE! Just got back from a weekend trip of off-roading and camping. Did several trails ranging from gravel to large technical rocks and the magnets worked perfectly. I ran my tablet on top of that dash mount and it never once popped off, and I ran my phone on the side next to my radio and it never came off. Even while using my phone case. If I swapped positions from the tablet and phone, the tablet may have came off, but I didn't test that. I preferred to have the tablet up top anyway for visibility. Very pleased with how well they worked. I also got another steelie magnet and stuck it to the back of one of my orange GMRS hand held radios and stuck it to my metal cb mount. Also never came off once. Magnets FTW!!
Being a trucker I seen a lot of awesome Cb ideas. This one not many think about but it works great. I am building my 2010 JKU for overlanding gonna be coming to Arkansas to hit some trails. Living in Louisiana it's the closes place to go with go views and good trails. Be safe out there and keep coming with the videos.
Hell yea, I’ve been using magnet mounts for awhile and it’s so much better than those ram mounts. As long as there’s direct contact for the magnet and the plate it holds good. My 7 inch tablet didn’t budge on some pretty bouncy trails. Didn’t even think about one for the CB I need that now
Sorry to be so offtopic but does anyone know of a method to get back into an Instagram account? I somehow forgot my account password. I would appreciate any assistance you can give me!
Love your content. One of the reasons why I bought my TJ. Sad to see you let yours go, but I understand you wanting to move on to something bigger and better. Good luck. Looking forward to more videos.
The little things are the most satisfying I remember hooking up all my controls for my light bars and winch in my truck and it was just so satisfying how everything comes together
I will be doing this , this Winter have several things I want to do One thing for sure is to replace my play system looking for voice command right now. Thank you for Sharing.
Just a heads up on that magnet mount. I ran that for some time, but had issues with all different double-sided adhesive tape failing over time. Heat and cool cycles are the killer. I ended up going with a RAM mount for my phone and also for the CB mic.
I'm actually experiencing that with my CB mic mount. If it's super hot, my magnetic ball will come off the dash. The phone adhesives have been fine so far as they have a better surface to adhere to. I found a some industrial strength two sided adhesive that's working great to keep them on. Appreciate the comment!
The Scorsche mount may come unglued eventually. Well, it took years for mine too. But super glue will easily solve that minor issue. Love that pistol holder btw. I had never seen that before, and will be purchasing one now!
0:43 so u say this is a Samsung Tablet A ? And it comes with this maps& topography app, which u can use offline ? Sounds good for roadtripping.... i think it's not long since u made this vid. please let us know if u still recommend it and if i got the name right? cheers !
You're correct! However, it does not come with the app I was describing. The app I use is called Gaia GPS. It's a $40 a year app that I subscribe to, but there is a free version. I've used Gaia for a while and highly recommend it. In the app, you can download the maps for offline use. The tablet does have a built in GPS tracker, so that means it does not have to rely on data or doesn't have to connect to a GPS to find your position.
@@ArkansasOffroad sounds great, thanks so much for your reply. Makes me curious as to how that Gps with the Gaia maps would work offline/without data, just having downloaded it. But i'd def be interested in getting it myself.
Thanks for the hand throttle idea! The Jeep is slow and when driving for long on the highway, my right foot starts to hurt. I looked into cruise control, but it's really expensive and hard to find in Europe. The hand throttle would work great
Great ideas. One of my first mistakes while in the trails was realizing i had no service and couldn't use my phones GPS. I like the idea of the tablet and magnet mounts
Really awesome video and ideas. I just got a 98 TJ and in process of doing a few upgrades and these are some great ideas - just ordered some from amazon. I'm hoping to learn more about the GPS/offline options as I live in Montana, would love to see a video on the Gaia maps and your new tablet. I'll definitely be following you, thanks for the great content.
that color of the jeep is epic. wish i had the $$ to paint my white TJ. and love the color match center dash! You'll probably need to relocate the CB mic though, you're going to knee that constantly getting in and out of the jeep. I also have that same CB mount and love it.
Good stuff ! I'm really enjoying your channel . Since you're wanting to go magnetic look at mob armour mounts . Super quality stuff . I also live in Arkansas so it's awesome to see this stuff !
Have you had any issues seeing the tablet while wearing polarized sunglasses? I bought a Samsung tablet a7 lite to use for navigation but when I turn it horizontally 90 degrees (landscape) the pixels pretty much disappear into a dark grey/black blur if I am wearing my sunglasses. If I take my glasses off, I can see the screen just fine.
wondering who or how you painted your interior center piece it looks really good, or is that an aftermarket piece? not infront of mine to check but i think maybe my 05 rubicon has a texture on that piece similar to your center console lid i could be wrong though do you still recommend that daystar tray?
Where did you get the metal center console trim panel? I'm looking for a double DIN panel that preserves the ashtray/lighter/rocker switch functionality.
I just stuck a New double din radio bezel dash kit from eBay in my 97 Jeep Wrangler along with a 7” touch screen Bluetooth radio stereo with navigation look fantastic works great check it out on eBay and the stereo because the stereo has Bluetooth you can keep your phone in your pocket and still get calls Through the radio

Miguel Sandoval The application is Gaia GPS. I have the pro version which is $40 a year. Lots of great features and a very useful tool. The tablet is a Samsung Tablet A. Good luck on your trip! Hope this helped.
Help, I'm thinking of buying a 98 wrangler from my parents for my university years, it's 80,000 miles and it's in perfect condition, do you think it can survive at least 7 years until I can work to buy another one? If something serious happens to the jeep in this time would it be very expensive to repair? Or do you think I should spend a little more and buy something newer?
How "perfect" is the condition? If it really is perfect, definitely jump on it. Parts are not very expensive at all compared to new vehicles. And most of the repairs are simple enough to find how to's on RUclips. 80,000 is good mileage.
Question regarding the tablet, how does it access the internet without a SIM card or paying? Are you using it in conjunction with your phone?? Thanks in advance.
It doesn't access internet, just has an internal GPS unit. Same as your phone without internet or service. It's not hooked up to my phone at all. Some devices have internal GPS units and some don't.
