- Did my annual spring cleaning on the Jeep and decided to film my process and show the things I do to keep everything looking new. I also did some cheap DIY mods that any of you can do for your rig, and they turned out great!

Arkansas Offroad what brand, where did you get the rack mounted on your tire carrier? Is it a universal rack? I have the Smittybilt XRC series bumper and tire carrier and am looking to add that type of rack.

When I was in the Navy, a Gunner’s Mate once told us in boot camp “if you take care of something, it’ll take care of you.” So, it’s awesome you take such good care of your Jeep.

That is a fine mosheen. Don't let it go! TJ is the last of the "real Jeeps" and probably the best all around of previous models. Inline 6 motor is tough as a hammer and one of the greatest engines of all time. I did a cold air intake, JBA headers, Magnaflow cats, and a Borla cat back. The increase in air flow literally brought the motor to life. I was stunned and totally did not expect it.

I have an '03 TJ. Everyone is saying the cold air intake won't really make much of a difference. I'm running 35s on stock 3.73 gearing. Think I'd feel it?

Tip for you brotha. NEVER EVER EVER use the same wash towel/mitt on both the wheels and paint. You will be spending a lot more time than that polishing out that paint because you will be taking all kinds of contaminants from the wheels and dragging them right across your paint, putting more and more scratches/swirl marks in that paint. You look like you know what your doing based on the polish and what not, but make sure to never cross-contaminate. Keep on Jeepin’ on 👌

The same goes for windows. I made the mistake of using the same sponge from the car body on the windshield and left myself with an 18-inch hairline scratch in the glass.

All those spider web scratches came from improper washing which you demonstrated perfectly.

That's a super clean Wrangler!
Just spent three weeks refurbishing my 2004 lj. Removed all bumpers, fender flairs, etc. Wire brushed the frame removed all skid plates repainted everything. Should've filmed I guess. I really like the color of your jeep.
Your videos makes me want to sell my JKU and get a TJ lol

Best looking TJs are factory Saharas and Rubicons.............. All the Gizmo's are great IF you truly need them........... If not your just a ricer/tool...........

no way a jeep can look that GOOD if you take to the trail often. I wish mine looked like that, But we hit the trail at least once a month or twice. But that is a really nice looking TJ
There definitely is! I hit the trails at least once a month as well. Get a lot of pinstriping where I'm from but it buffs out for the most part. Thank you!

Haha yeah I filmed some clips right before I got the roof rack and then filmed some more right after I got it. Haha that was a good catch!

Looks awesome. I use WD-40 all over my frame every time I wash my Jeep. It really helps protect the frame especially in the winter time. I have zero rust on my 1998 frame and I live in Southern Missouri where they salt the roads. Only other thing.,..You could have sold those roll bar pads or repurpose them on a later project lol. Keep up the great videos and I would like to buy one of your stickers. :)

Great looking jeep. Even though your idea is old I hate seeing bad bolts. All those bolts on your rack should be changed so you don't have all the heads, nuts, and bolt sticking out. Swap them for Chicago screws - so much cleaner.

Inspired me to detail my TJ.
Very clean TJ you got there I just wanted to give you a little advice try some Rust-Oleum bed liner spray I used that underneath my Jeep on the wheel wells and on the Rock sliders when they get scratched that stuff is awesome you could use it on your axles your frame very durable

Jeep looks awesome, never thought about WD40. I use tire foam in my wheel wells and to shine up my steel wheels.

Hey man great looking jeep! I’ve been watching a lot of your videos recently. I just wanted to offer a piece of advice, you can take or leave it. Just wanted to let you know my experience. A lot of the time, the reason you get those micro scratches in your paint is because of the way you wash your jeep. First off try a two bucket method with dirt traps in each bucket, and an extremely clean wash mitt. Keep one bucket with your soap and one with clean water, wash one panel at a time from top to bottom. Making sure you clean your wash mitt in your second bucket (with just the clean water) after each panel. I promise you if you do it this way, a lot of those micro scratches won’t come up. It will save you a sunburnt and tired arm lol. Again I sure hope I’m not stepping on your toes, just wanted to put in my 2 cents. Great vids man!

I painted my fenders with a black bed Liner and it looks amazing but if you think of doing it do 3 coats

Killer detail. That Plast-X works really well on the soft top windows too. Just make sure you have several micro fiber towels otherwise it's swirl central. Another cool thing is either generic or regular pledge for tires, wheels, bumpers, rockers, fender flares, well all black trim. Most of my black trim is Line X, so I have to use a spray mist bottle and let it sit-soak in. The pledge lasts about 12 days. How many days are you getting out of the WD-40? I'm the same way, beat the hell out of the Jeep but put the elbow grease in, keep it looking new. I hope this is the last vehicle I own and I treat it as such. Cool vid! 😎🇺🇸

Really nice truck man, subscribed. A few suggestions, but NOT trying to tell you what to do since the truck already looks great.
For plastics use "Lexol, Vinylex Protectant." It has rejuvenated parts that I was sure were destined for the paint booth (or can of Krylon in my garage).
Consider a Griot's buffing wheel with a few different pads if you're after a high gloss shine. This is an offroad truck so your goal might just be protecting the paint not chasing your tail restoring something that is going in the mud.

Gonna have to remember that WD40 trick!! Looks like a solid day of cleanup work and man it turned out nice. I finally made a video of the LJ if you wanna check it out. It's pretty rough right now, but the project should take off pretty soon.

If you like to polish the car invest in a da polisher. I used the one from harbor freight with some compound and a meguiars microfiber cutting pad. $50 with a coupon. I couldn’t believe the finish I got. Also never touch the paint with the same mitt you use on the wheels as brake dust and dirt from the wheels could scratch the paint. Hell I use different mitts for the top and bottom of the car.

Adams polishes sells a ceramic coating spray that would help the soft top look black longer and definitely help the dirt come off easier and stick less. Given i havent tried it myself because i have a hard top but the videos ive seen it looks great

That’s a nice TJ, I do the same thing a couple times a year to mine between regular washing, it’s a lot of work and it’s hard to take it back in the mud. Gonna try the WD40 trick.

The purpose of chrome is to optimize the reflection, removing it is the opposite.

the lightbar idea looks good. I might do that sometime with mine. you said it does not hinder the output but even if it did not show as bright I would consider it bc I do not use it much anyways. Only offroad by the river in fields and stuff
