Yea,i was just thinking the same thing. What I’ve been thinking is I know rich people can just write a check for something like this,no problem, but how do people of “normal” means buy a multi million dollar yacht like this? I’m not trying to be tacky or crass but in the US buying a new Pick Up Truck has become a big deal ($75,000). Buying a Bearing yacht isn’t something that the average person can do. I can understand how Rico must feel about his new baby not being damaged during construction. Don’t worry Rico if they dent it,they’ll fix it!
I’ve been on both sides of the situation. It’s his boat in this situation. Having said that, they’re professionals and have done this before. He should be thankful they’re letting him be there.
This is a no-brainer advertising opportunity for Bering though, it's not a normal client/company engagement they have here. Even if they gave Rico and Victoria the boat, it would probably come out as a net positive for Bering.
Standing on the top deck, and looking down into the engine room, really gives a good perspective as to the size of the boat. Just amazing. Glad these another video for the engines alone. I’d have been happy sitting here for a whole afternoon watching the complete process in real time.

On a project this size, dozens of things have already been scratched, dinged, bent, etc. However, it’s already been repaired like new. Trust the process. It’s a Bering. It will look fantastic.
@@damonried1720 I agree. I’m sure the last thing they want, is for the customer to be supervising the build. I felt very uncomfortable watching this. Like you said. Nothing to be nervous about. These guys have installed engines and generators for years. It will all be great. Rico is just doing what us guys do get in the middle of it like these guys don’t know how it goes. 😂😂

Bering’s experience is evident in the problems that were solved in advance, making this stuff looks easy. The block and tackle maneuver in that first generator was a thing of beauty! Last but not least, great job with the fish-eye lens shots from inside the equipment. Really cool.
So fun watching your engines and generators being installed. I think the team is happy to have you both filming, asking questions and preserving the special moment in history. There is a lot of passion and pride there. Designing things with the human heart, making things with human hands. 🙂 Those Kohler generators could have been assembled in their Saukville, Wisconsin and/or Hattiesburg, Mississippi plants? Wisconsin is up here in the midwest. Lots of passion and pride making your generators as well. You could navigate to the upper midwest through Lake Superior or Lake Michigan. Just saying. 🙂 Thanks so much, Mark
I honestly pulled my crew off a job once because the owner was interfering with the progress of the job. I know they want to watch and take part. If I spent that much money I’d love to be there as well. But some times it’s best to stand back and be quiet.
I have a backup Kohler generator for my house. 7 years on, in an area where the power goes out A LOT, and it's been absolutely trouble-free, with regular routine maintenance. Once it ran continuously for 5 days solid, and kept the whole house powered as usual. Their marine generators must be extraordinarily reliable.
